We are all the same species, and yet we discriminate just because of our nationality. Whites hate Mexicans. Mexicans hate Whites. Blacks hate Mexicans and Whites. And please, don't bother saying "not all of us are like that". It might be true. I'm Meican, but I have White friends, Black friends, Arab friends. But that's the imression the majority of each of the nationalities represent. I've met a LOT of racist people in the course of my life. Whites who would keep *****ing on me by making a hand-person jump over a fence. Blacks who would call me a beaner. I've also heard some of my people hate on Whites and Blacks, saying stuff I really don't wanna say. So that's why I hate the ****ing human race.

It's because the concept of nationality still exists to mark us as different.

We get it. There are some people in this world that are horrible, but there is a difference between them being horrible and others just not being able to tolerate. MODERATION my friends is what we all need to practice. It's horrible when people clearly only have their own interests in mind, but how does it make you any better to jump to hatred of all? Just get less hung up on the negative. There are plenty of people (like me...>.>) that put their time into community service or other thoughtful, helpful actions. Concentrate on this and you'll realize humanity, though for the most part stupid and easily deceived, is a caring, good race.

This is the POINT of this forum. If you don't like it, you don't have to visit it. That would be like me going into the GBD and saying "I hate when people talk about Brawl for the whole world to see. No one cares."

Yeah I hate Brawl, that's why I avoid the GBD for the most part. If you don't like people spilling their problems and venting, then go hide in a hole somewhere.

It's human nature to want to vent. And venting helps people feel better.

This is a fantastic question when it comes to ethics, is there really such thing as selflessness? When I studied in England a year ago, this was probably the most engaging topic that was addressed the entire semester. Hmm... I think there is, but only where immediately applicable.
Like, people will risk their lives to save say, a random kid from drowning, even though they don't know them at all. That may have some species saving biological mechanism, but meh.

Of course, when it comes to caring about things that we cannot impact in any way, it really doesn't make sense to. Why lose sleep and get yourself down over something that doesn't actually affect you and you can't change?

This may be a slight tangent, but it's actually interesting and intelligent, so people should continue to chime in. XD

Regardless of the circumstance, in order for one to willingly give time, effort, money, or what have you to another person or organization, there HAS to be something gained from the process. A student may do community service projects for a club or activity that goes onto their college transcript; a new potential tenant could get help moving his things into his new boarding from the landlord or another fellow tenant in exchange for a future favor.
