wait a secondThere's love, and then there's poor taste.
And the line for poor taste was crossed.
I really am starting to dislike the overall attitude of this thread.

^made me smoom in my pants
If we do pools they need to be not 2 out of pools because there were seeding issues last time. At least 3. Not that I really care.
PS if anyone is interested in teaming with me drop me a PM or IM. I might not check this thread.
yep. after last time it looks like ill have to be the one making themWill you let me look over the pools and/or talk to me before you make them? Last time I only looked over the bracket, which was insane because only 2 people go out of pools lol.
I feel the complete opposite about it :/If you really want to make everyone attending the tournament feel like they really participated, Option 1 is the best.
If you want to make the tournament about the top players, then option 2 is better.
Just depends on how much of the community you want to involve and keep interested in returning.
EDIT: Yeah, I transposed the options.I feel the complete opposite about it :/
i know how to run events, thanks. If you really want to make everyone attending the tournament feel like they really participated, Option 1 is the best.

Pools seed the bracket themselves, you shouldn't even need to seed the bracket if you do pools correctly. Ideally in most tournaments(not smash) pools are used purely for seeding. EVERYONE makes it out of pools. So they would have for example pools of 8 and 1st seed plays 8th first 2nd plays 7th and so on.100+ Man Bracket would be hard to seed properly just because of how large it is.
Smaller Bracket after Pools would be hard to seed properly since everyone coming out of pools is "the cream of the crop" hopefully.
What I meant is that if you had a lower number of people getting out of pools, it would be a bit harder than normal to seed based on skill since obviously the players getting out are all gonna be good. I know Pools seed the bracket, I'm just saying that cause there would be so many good players in the bracket, that two really good people being matched up first round would not be unlikely since everyone is good at that point. Obviously first seed will play 4th seed or whatever, but I'm just saying that if you only have a small number get out, that 4th seed is gonna be pretty good. This is assuming a 48 man or smaller bracket though, anything bigger than that would be nearly inconsequential.
I support pools over the other idea, I'm just pointing out that if you weed out enough players, you'll get a bracket filled only with good people, which may be a positive or negative for people.
Inui I highly doubt you'll beat our top 5 players, heck I believe our top 10 would beat you. Anyways all I'm saying is don't belittle Texas by assuming that you're going to do well at this upcoming Hobo, I just don't want you to set your standards high and then be disappointed by your results. Please be more realistic and realize where you stand in the Brawl competitive scene.I'll automatically become like 5th in TX the moment I enter your state, rofl. Maybe higher. I'm not even trying to be cocky, I'm just being honest. You really have no idea because people are extremely biased and I've been inconsistent in the past.
