Improved Ultimate newcomer roster - feel I may have leaned too hard into Scrimbly Bimblies here. Tried to have all 3rd parties be replaced with 3rd parties and same for 1st parties, with the sole exceptions of Small Mario and Rabbid Peach - the prior of which was in a tricky reveal situation (having to share a trailer with a 1st party) and the latter of which is part of a Nintendo series, - I still wanted the 1P DLCs to be shill picks for some realism, even if there's tons of Nintendo characters I'd prefer. Decisions based solely on character and not function - tried to avoid replacing big fan picks, though Banjo still gets the cut because, well you guys know me by now.

Wanted to make my own take on Wario3's variant fighters for every characters.

  1. Mario: Snes Mario (Voxel styled like in MKT, old down B and old taunts)
  2. DK: Boxer DK (DK With Little Mac's Smashes)
  3. Link: Warrior Link (Identical Smash 4 Link with a Spinner dash attack)
  4. Samus: Raven Beak (Bigger Samus with Ganon's side B)
  5. Dark Samus: Sylux (Much faster in the air with lighter projectiles)
  6. Yoshi: Pirate Yoshi (Yoshi with a bunch of short range sword attacks and Mario Party based taunts)
  7. Kirby: Yarn Kirby (Completely unique moveset)
  8. Fox: James McCloud (Slower Fox but with more Arwing based attacks)
  9. Pikachu: Detective Pikachu (Has realistic fur and human voice but a similar gimmick to Phoenix in MVC3)
  10. Luigi: Balloon World Luigi (Floatier Luigi with a similar Up B to Villager)
  11. Ness: Robo Ness (Ness with R.O.B's attributes and tilts)
  12. Captain Falcon: Anime Captain Falcon (Base Falcon with an absurd sweetspot on Falcon Punch)
  13. Jigglypuff: Wigglytuff (Jigglypuff but Stronger and Faster but less durable with worse range)

  5. The Addams Family (1993) - 4 player run & gun with Gomez, Morticia, Fester, and a team of Pugsley and Wednesday. Themed on the cartoon, but features the villain and plot from the movie
  6. Last Action Hero (1993) - 2 player with Jack and Danny, the prior utilising run & gun gameplay while the latter utilises bmup gameplay
  7. Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (1993) - 4 player, but features 6 characters in Red, Green, Pink, Yellow, Black, and Blue.
  8. Rocko's Modern Life (1993) - 2 players with Rocko and Heffer - Filburt has a "running gag" role like Binky the Rabbit in Simpsons
  9. Avenger Penguins (1994) - 3 players with Marlon, Rocky, and Bluey - entire game built off of the "Sewer Surfin'" levels from TMNT
  10. Animaniacs (1994) - 3 player with Yakko; Wakko; and Dot
  11. Captain America and The Avengers (1994) - 4 player with Captain America, Hulk, Thor, and Iron Man
  12. The Lion King (1994) - 1 player with Simba, who becomes a teenager and adult throughout the adventure

So you all remember Terrordrome? Well, what if there was something like that for horror games? I did throw in a few protagonists, but it's mainly based around horror game villains/monsters (yes i am aware that this would be much more fitting to do around halloween time)
  1. Chris Redfield (Resident Evil) - I could image some of RE's other human protags, such as Jill and Leon, working as alts.
  2. Nemesis (Resident Evil)
  3. Pyramid Head (Silent Hill) - Yes, I am aware that Pyramid Head's creator isn't a fan of how marketable the character has become, but somebody would probably bring him up if I excluded him from the roster.
  4. Miku Hinasaki (Fatal Frame) - Like Chris, other Fatal Frame protags would make for great alts.
  5. Scissorman (Clock Tower) - I'm not gonna do a specific Scissorman from any particular Clock Tower game; Just a character who bears the general name and likeness of the persona.
  6. The Hunter (Left 4 Dead) - Sure, infecteds like the Tank are more iconic, but I wanna have a balance between heavyweight and lightweight antagonists here.
  7. The Walrider (Outlast)
  8. Springtrap (Five Nights at Freddy's)
  9. Security Guard (Five Nights at Freddy's) - I was originally gonna go with Freddy himself, but I feel that a night guard would have a really fun moveset and could be the MvC Phoenix Wright of the game. It wouldn't be any particular guard from the series, though - Just a generic guy wearing a Freddy Fazbear head ala FNaF 2.
  10. Edward Carnby (Alone in the Dark)
  11. Six (Little Nightmares)
  12. Isaac Clarke (Dead Space)
  13. The Ubermorph (Dead Space)
  14. Daniel (Amnesia: The Dark Descent)
  15. T. Rex (3D Monster Maze) - An oddball rep for sure, but seeing as 3D Monster Maze is widely considered the first survival horror game made, I feel T. Rex's inclusion is warranted.
  16. The Trapper (Dead by Daylight)
  17. Rick (Splatterhouse) - Splatterhouse isn't really a horror game in the traditional sense, but its inspirations are hard to ignore.
  18. Simon Belmont (Castlevania) - Just like Splatterhouse, Castlevania isn't much of a horror series, but given that its main antagonist is one of the most iconic horror villains out there, its inclusion is reasonable enough.
  19. Alucard (Castlevania)
  20. Slenderman (Slender: The Eight Pages) - Okay, Slenderman's technically not an indie game character, but enough of his modern identity stems from his game series that his status as a "guest" character is warranted.
Shoutouts to Robbie from Silent Hill, who I felt was a little too close to Springtrap theme-wise to stand out enough, and Baldi from Baldi's Basics, who would be hilarious, but not close enough to horror without sticking out too much.

Since many japanese animated shows and movies are mainly based on a manga or a light novel, i have three candidates for a japanese rep.
1. A Studio Ghibli character (Everyone will say Totoro or Princess Mononoke, but i rather prefer Nausicaa)
2. A Trigger character (The manga were published after the shows aired on TV. Since Ryuko maybe too skimpy, my guesses are: a Little Witch Academia girl (no matters if is Akko, Suzy or Shiny Chariot) and that femboy bishonen guy from Promare)
3. Spike from Cowboy Bebop (Same with Trigger: the show was made before the manga was written)

Some time ago I did this, but now I was considering on a better way to do it, this time instead of being lazy and just say that its "Civil War: The Game" I will try to give it its own story taking basis on different events of the comics mixing certain elements to bring a whole new story, this would be a franchise with 4 games starting with...
MARVEL: DARK REIGN
(Should be noted that the franchise itself would be "Reign" so even if this is an actual comic title, future games would still use Reign even if there is no comic with that name)

After a series of misunderstandments between their members, the Avengers separated their paths and some of them even quit their superhero status to go back to a civilian life, nobody would knew that after the separation of Earth's Mightiest Heroes they would leave the whole planet in danger and with a vacant place for the job of mantain the security of the nation Norman Osborn became the chief of the Superhero Department of the States creating his own team of "Dark Avengers" while at the same time and without knowing an even greater hazard was starting to hide among us. With these two menaces treating the peace, the heroes must leave their differences in the past and assemble one more time to correct the things.

This story takes element from the arcs of Avengers Dissasembled, Secret Invasion, Secret War (the one in singular instead of plural), Dark Reign, Siege and World War Hulk; particulary, in the story there it would be a chapter specifically about Hulk's rampage after being expulsed from Earth and coming back, thought unlike the original story, this would only be a single chapter of the whole story that is much bigger than that and the event don't go a higher scale that it can resume how this story works, is in part a retelling of the events in the form of chapters is also an adaptation that tries to mix the common elements between them to tell a fun story, in the end the most important parts are the reassembling of The Avengers, the arrest of Norman Osborn, and the start of the decline of Scarlet Witch's mental health that teases the next episode of this saga, Reign of X.

REIGN OF X

After the Dark Reign, Loki vanished without leaving any trail, he rapted the Scarlet Witch whose mind was starting to break due the death of Vision; Loki decided to mainpulate her knowing all of her potential but he was intercepted by Magneto who was searching his daughter after noticing her desaparition. His interruption distorted Loki's spell and Wanda lose all control over her powers rewritting the reality itself distorting the personalities of both heroes and villains equal, some of them even turning into their opposites but most importantly, did changed the mutantkind a new status of power in society leaving in the past their status as a minority and becoming a full authority. Some persons remind the old world and would fight for make it come back but there it would be others who would rather protect this new reality that it comes in their favor. In the end, which side would prevail?

This time the story takes inspiration of the events AXIS, Avengers vs. X-Men and most notoriously, of House of M. The story mainly focus on how the mutants would try to mantain this new reality while most of the human heroes would fight to bring back the regular one, thought some of the "warped" characters like Iron Man or Doctor Doom would also have the desire to mantain this new status quo. In the end has you could have imagine the reality goes back to normal thought there are a pair of changes caused by these reality plays like the restauration of Wanda's family, the formation of The Illuminatis or Loki's "death". But there is also a major inconvenience and it was that these showcase of power revealed the ubications of the Infinity Gems with all of them being on Earth attracting Thanos and his Black Order to go for them, more of this would be showcased in Infinite Reign.

Probably about time I do a Sonic Smash roster. The game has a much faster pace than Smash (like NASB with more moves and actual grabs). There is a built in and competitively tested Final Smash-esque mechanic (Chaos Meter). Characters are mainly unlocked through achievments like the earlier Smash games, but there are a ton of ways to unlock different characters, so as long as you experiment you can get everyone pretty fast.

  • Changes from previous version
    • (Almost) all clones have been cut - mainly for the sake of formatting.
    • Mecha Sonic replaced with Scrap Mecha Sonic. I just think he can do a lot more than his original sprite and it's a really cool concept overall.​
    • Belle has been added - actually I mainly just put her there so Tangle and Whisper could have someone to be on a three-part team with.
      • Speaking of teams of three, that is kind of what the roster ended up being. I think it worked out alright, though the last three rows obviously have no theming of that sort.​
    • Storm The Albatross added. This was done at first both to perserve the team theming and so he wouldn't be left out by Jet and Wave. Looking back now, though, I'd be fine with dropping both him and Wave if the team theme was also dropped. Probably in the next version I'll do that.
    • Robotnik added, based on Jim Carrey's portrayal of him in the Sonic films. There's a ton you can do with him and he's like this perfect blend of a realistic military scientist mixed with the insanity of the actual Eggman.
    • Sage has been added. No-brainer here.
    • Classic Sonic has been decloned, and is now right by Mighty and Ray. I do love the Archie interpretations of these two, but for the sake of the roster and the Sonic brand I think this makes much more sense to have them as they've always appeared outside of comics.
    • Mr. Tinker added. He's a blend between his sleepy concept-art self and the alter-ego inventor of the IDW comics. Obviously inspired by my concept in the Alternate Universe thread.
    • Emerl has been cut in favor of G-merl. Just feels weird to have Emerl in what with his canonical death and the fact that G-merl has made many more appearances since the Advance games than Emerl has, so yeah. Also I never played Battle but am a fan of the IDW books, so yeah, I just like G-merl more.
    • Arthur has been cut, as I found he doesn't really make a whole lot of sense in the context of this game. Sure, his name's on the cover of SatBK, but he's not the main villain, and including him just feels like going "lol remember when sonic had a sword and fought king arthur???? lmao". Merlina feels like a much more sensible pick given she's the center of the game's narrative and has no shortage of cool villain stuff on her own. She could maybe be a stance character, going from her peaceful form to her evil one and vice versa on the fly.
    • Motobug replaced by badniks. Honestly I could go either way on this one, I just like the idea of a team of them.
    • Scratch & Grounder added - the OG roster was waaaay lacking in 90's alternative media reps, so yeah, needed at least one. They'd basically use dumb traps and beat each other up for the entire match as their attacks.
    • Surge added because she's cool.
      • By now you may notice a large amount of IDW reps, and to that I say...well yeah they make good ****in' characters, I just like a whole lot of them and so I put 'em on here.
    • Sticks added. Apparently she's canon to Sonic now btw. Huh.
    • Mr. Tanaka added. I think this is unironically the best pick I could've gone for from Sonic X. He's got some great action scenes and envelops the "filler" aspect of X as well.
    • The guest characters are unchanged, apart from Nazo, who is new. I feel like at least one genuine Sonic fan character should make it in, and Nazo kind of represents that whole "original character do not steal" thing, but also the "kids who grew up playing Sonic and watching DBZ" and "awesome character who could easily beat sonic in like four nanoseconds" things.
    • Removed Zavok. Honestly I didn't even realize this until I finished the roster. Eh, he's nice to have but I won't miss him.
    • Removed Rookie, another "take it or leave it" thing for me honestly.
    • Flicky is gone. I honestly forgot I added her in the original roster, and I'll be sure to put her back in in the next update.

INFINITE REIGN

The Reign of X was over, but it left the Earth unprotected for new attacks and with the Infinite Geams revealed multiple foes from the outside space, the heroes must put aside their own problems to fight against these new menaces like Ultron, Annihilus and Thanos before they start an Infinite Reign of evil.

With a very short premise in comparison to previous games, Infinite Reign takes inspiration of Infinity (not the Infinity Gauntlet but just Infinity), Annihilation and the sequel Annihilation Conquest with a very small fraction of Original Sin and The Thanos Imperative. The story starts with the heroes defending the Earth of the multiple invaders who noticed the existence of the Infinite Gems and ends with they going to the outside space for finish this fight from the source. During the story it would be many times noticed the existence of the Incursions and in the final scene the Incursions ends with the start of the collision of all realities forming the Battleword, it's time for the final path, the Secret Reign!

Going back almost a year ago, I had made my own concept for a Hasbro Crossover Fighter. I went through many character ideas, but I settled on a final roster and made a visual for it; It's been kept private mostly, but I've recently started a thread for a Hasbro Platforming Crossover Fighter (link), so now would be the perfect time to share this!

This is by no means an indicator as to what the thread's final roster will be; This was merely my personal idea for it. However, you can definitely see this as a possible outcome for what characters could be included; With a catalogue as big and varied as Hasbro's, there's a lot of fun to be had with any type of roster!

After a series of misunderstandments between their members, the Avengers separated their paths and some of them even quit their superhero status to go back to a civilian life, nobody would knew that after the separation of Earth's Mightiest Heroes they would leave the whole planet in danger and with a vacant place for the job of mantain the security of the nation Norman Osborn became the chief of the Superhero Department of the States creating his own team of "Dark Avengers" while at the same time and without knowing an even greater hazard was starting to hide among us. With these two menaces treating the peace, the heroes must leave their differences in the past and assemble one more time to correct the things.

This story takes element from the arcs of Avengers Dissasembled, Secret Invasion, Secret War (the one in singular instead of plural), Dark Reign, Siege and World War Hulk; particulary, in the story there it would be a chapter specifically about Hulk's rampage after being expulsed from Earth and coming back, thought unlike the original story, this would only be a single chapter of the whole story that is much bigger than that and the event don't go a higher scale that it can resume how this story works, is in part a retelling of the events in the form of chapters is also an adaptation that tries to mix the common elements between them to tell a fun story, in the end the most important parts are the reassembling of The Avengers, the arrest of Norman Osborn, and the start of the decline of Scarlet Witch's mental health that teases the next episode of this saga, Reign of X.

If you have questions about why such an important character like Thor would have been leave to DLC, well it would be supposed that Loki mantained Thor prisioned to don't interfere in his plans so there it was some plot implications that in contrast to the more flexive rosters of Marvel vs Capcom these justifications are more important in Injustice and so they are here.

After the Dark Reign, Loki vanished without leaving any trail, he rapted the Scarlet Witch whose mind was starting to break due the death of Vision; Loki decided to mainpulate her knowing all of her potential but he was intercepted by Magneto who was searching his daughter after noticing her desaparition. The story mainly focus on how the mutants would try to mantain this new reality while most of the human heroes would fight to bring back the regular one, thought some of the "warped" characters like Iron Man or Doctor Doom would also have the desire to mantain this new status quo. In the end has you could have imagine the reality goes back to normal thought there are a pair of changes caused by these reality plays like the restauration of Wanda's family, the formation of The Illuminatis or Loki's "death". But there is also a major inconvenience and it was that these showcase of power revealed the ubications of the Infinity Gems with all of them being on Earth attracting Thanos and his Black Order to go for them, more of this would be showcased in Infinite Reign.

With a very short premise in comparison to previous games, Infinite Reign takes inspiration of Infinity (not the Infinity Gauntlet but just Infinity), Annihilation and the sequel Annihilation Conquest with a very small fraction of Original Sin and The Thanos Imperative. The story starts with the heroes defending the Earth of the multiple invaders who noticed the existence of the Infinite Gems and ends with they going to the outside space for finish this fight from the source. During the story it would be many times noticed the existence of the Incursions and in the final scene the Incursions ends with the start of the collision of all realities forming the Battleword, it's time for the final path, the Secret Reign!

While is true that most of these characters are comebacks instead of new ones (for have it in perspective, Infinite Reign's base roster had 18 new characters while this time we only have 9 and this is only if we count Sam as a different character than Richard, thought at the same time we are counting Kate Bishop as a different character than Clint); this lackness in new faces would be instead filled with a considerable expansion in terms of premiere costumes with almost all characters having their own one, thought a lot of them comes from the previous games and have recycled dialogue (what do you think this was, DC vs. Marvel where apparently that company that made the game has unlimited budget???/s).

Since I've seen Hasbro-themed fighting game crossovers on this thread, I've decided to make a GI Joe fighting game roster:

Operation: duel​
This fighting game would be based on all GI Joe media, ranging from the toys (or action figures) to movies & video games.
The premise of the game is about Golobulus, who wants to use Cobra Commander to take over the world again and he even causes a war between COBRA & GI Joe, leading to a duel.

The gameplay of the game would be 1-on-1 2.5D game like Injustice or Street Fighter. There are inputs like in most of fighting games and Super moves that are loaded via super meter. This game would be fast paced fighting game and it includes wavedashing like in Smash (but in normal fighting game and not platform fighter).


(The fighters can both fight by using physical attacks like punches and firearms or other ranged weapons).
