*doxxes myself*
Don't really know where to put this so I'll just do it here...
While I haven't played it myself, I think the music selection of Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is fantastic and I would really like to see it done with another series besides Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest (and to a lesser extent, Kingdom Hearts). So, here's my concept for a collab between Square Enix and Nintendo: Theatrhythm Super Mario.

I'm going to replicate the first Theatrhythm and give it 78 songs and 28 characters. I'm also going to just try and keep it realistic by not including Donkey Kong Country characters besides Donkey and Diddy and no WarioWare content. That really hurt to do but it's probably what they'd do in this situation to keep it for DLC. I will also generally try not include songs that would be difficult to license due to involving a third party so no Phantom of the Bwapera.
(I might edit this in a bit to add links to each song so it's easier to see)

The lack of Stickerbush Symphony is just despicable.
I decided to just have aquatic ambience since it utilizes a lot of the same notes and has the same general vibe as stickerbrush symphony and i feel it gets used slightly more in the DKC series itself (in fact I would probably use the tropical freeze version of the song)

So I was trying to do something like the VXT trilogy and I already did what is basically the V and called it Phi so now it's time of the equivalent of T and call it

SUPER ROBOT WARS Σ
The story would be about a worldwide organization of agents that are investigating a conspiration that would mess with the public order. In this world after an unknown yet tragic event most cities are isolated in domes with little to not knowledge about the outer world, this also implies a smaller amount of series with a space setting.

Some of the themes of the game would be mistery, politics (more or less), crime, androids and IA, the occult and simulations. Interesing a lot of the units would be quite small, even human size.

Mazinkaiser (OVAs)
The Big O
Giant Robo: The Day Earth Stood Still
Tetsujin 28 (2004)
Pluto
Dai-Guard
Mobile Police Patlabor
Linebarrels of Iron (Manga)
Full Metal Panic!
(S1+2, Light Novels)
Brave Raideen
RaXephon
Zeorymer
Overman King Gainer
Heroman
Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water
Brave Express Might Gaine
Neon Genesis Evangelion
(TV Series + EoE)
Star Driver
Gun X Sword
Turn A Gundam
SSSS. GRIDMAN
Aim to the Top! Gunbuster
Magic Knight Rayearth (OVAs)
Getter Robo Devolution
Demonbane (VNs)
Tekkaman Blade
Fuuto PI
Re:Cutie Honey

With some quick explanations of the overall thing:
  • Very clever the amount of characters who are either police officers (Noa), private investigators (Shotaro), detectives (Geischt) or something similar (Roger) as well as many anti-crime groups. In fact thats why the main group is basically a worldwide anti crime organization for try to mantain them in a more natural space.
  • Talking about another meaning of the word space, most of the heavy space settings (Turn A, Tekkaman, Gunbuster) either are retconed to have a start on Earth or they become late-game units.
  • The progress of the story is basically move from city to city for gather information of this conspiration while they solve other inmediat problems (a lot of times, they are also connected to the conspiration anyway).
  • Spoilers of various of the shows included ahead Having shows like Big O, Getter Robo Devolution, Might Gaine and Gridman makes easy to make the plot twist and the conspiration be that the world is nothing but a simulation, thought they manage to break into the real world that reveals that those behind it are the Outer Gods.
  • Re:Cutie Honey and Fuuto PI are two of the most edited series in the roster, since their fights are much more small scaled not only in enemies but also in their size; their villains are most of the time alliated with other villains who have machinery for fight. In the case of Fuuto PI probably working with some organization could make the people that uses their Gaia Memories also turn giant or something akin.

Pop Culture Brawlers Remix

Fine,i know that it will be weird i write the same idea again, but this time,i will make Pop Culture Brawlers 1 but in Smash Remix version

Roster
17019231548477921810337295751436.png

-The original characters from the roster, the literally the same from Pop Culture Brawlers 1,who are the original 10 who are original 8-like (Superman, Mickey, Mario, Goku, Sherlock Holmes, Hello Kitty, Optimus Prime, The Doctor, James Bond and Santa Claus) and the unlockable 4 (Spider-Man, Bugs Bunny, Darth Vader and Sailor Moon)
-The roster bring back the newcomers from the later Pop Culture Brawlers games as veterans
-The roster have new characters who aren't on all 5 Pop Culture Brawlers games who are: Winnie The Pooh, Xena The Princess Warrior and Neo from Matrix
-The game is hypotherically made in 1999,Sauron, Neo and Hatsune Miku breaks a rule of "only characters debuted before 2000 are allowed" (Sauron's case is his real debut was 1937 and can have his design from LoTR movies,Sonic's debut is 1991 but his design is based on Sonic Adventure 2,and Hatsune Miku is on the roster because she is hypotherial a fan favorite character, even her debut is 2007)
-The roster have hypotherical scrapped characters on Pop Culture Brawlers 1 who are Godzilla, Homer Simpson, Dracula and Pac-Man who eventually they appears on later games, and Ronald McDonald is considered a playable character
-And the character designs as Sherlock Holmes,The Doctor and James Bond...well,i tried to find the other designs for them, but i can't,Sherlock Holmes could be have Basil Rathbone design,James Bond could be have Sean Connery design and The Doctor could be Tom Baker design

NASB 2 is the worse one
A while back I made a newcomer roster for an Ultimate sequel, don't know if I ever posted it here, but I just added some echoes, and kinda feel like going through why I went with the characters I did

I'll do the unique characters first, since a lot of the reasoning for the echoes was derived from gaps in this set. The aim here was to please both Celebration-of-Gaming fans and Nintendo All-Stars fans, and fill perceived gaps in the roster without just overloading it with fan-requests. Realism wasn't considered.
  1. Waluigi is the fan demand pick of the 1Ps. That's really the whole rationale. Of the major 1P fan picks, he's my favourite, and also probably the most popular from a mainstream perspective.
  2. Impa, Midna, and Tingle were all in response to a percieved lack of Zelda rep. There aren't really any fully agreed upon Zelda reps who are overwhelmingly wanted by fans, even if Ninja Impa and Skull Kid seem to be more popular, that isn't overwhelming. Impa was chosen for her importance, with Elderly Impa being chosen in specific for making up the majority of Impa appearances and lending herself to a more unique moveset, along with a lack of geriatric characters in fighting games. this was before the nasb 2 leak I tried to make sure the female characters were unlike the usual female characters of Smash, since most of the women in Smash fall into the camp of "slender, pretty, human, young adult" - not that there's anything wrong with that alone (as you'll see with a later 1P pick), but it's nice to have more diverse female designs.
  3. I really like Midna's character design, and I think that her whole hair thing lends itself to a fun moveset. TP fans were probably disappointed by Ultimate, so she fills that niche. Being a non-human female character is also an advantage she brings.
  4. A lack of modern Kirby rep is a common criticism of Smash, and Susie fills that niche, being a bit of a fan favourite from what many consider the definitive best Kirby game. She also has a very abstract design, which is fun, especially for a female character.
  5. Youngster was a me pick - I wanted more Gen 1, and I wanted a weaker, sillier Pokemon like Squirtle, Jigglypuff, and Pichu before him. While there are other Pokemon that fit either or both descriptors I'd prefer, I think Youngster's trio (Pidgey, Rattata, and Zubat) is so iconic that it's hard to really shoot down or view as "random", and a second Pokemon stance fighter has been a common request since Brawl.
  6. The lack of legendary Pokemon representation in Smash is quite bizarre from an objective standpoint, and Genesect just fits Smash perfectly as a mobile, powerful, and fast creature. Gen 5 is, like Robobot, often considered the best Pokemon game, so it makes sense to represent it here.
  7. While not particularly popular Smash requests, Callie and Marie are in a similar spot to Isabelle as being overwhelmingly popular outside of that niche, and probably having a large support base that's just silent and doesn't frequent Smash forums.
  8. Rhythm Heaven has been a popular Smash pick for a while, and had a few devastating close calls. Yuka was chosen because she's so generic that she can basically do anything. Hanging on to a rocket, partaking in a quiz show, slashing a sword - she could basically do anything because she's just... a girl who hangs out with monkeys. Unlike Karate Joe, the Chorus Boys, or the Wandering Samurai who are all very specific in themes. Rhythm games are also not yet repped in Smash
  9. Tingle is a bit of a me pick, he's very much a popular character, and has received quite a bit of re-evaluation in recent years from the Westerners who once got him banned from the Zelda series. I think I like Tingle as a sort of way of saying "hey, the dust has settled, you want to give this guy another go?" choice. I also like that he represents a spin-off series that isn't Mario.
  10. Going into third parties, the reasons will be a lot more simple since 3Ps are nowhere near as comprehensive as they exist today. Case in point: Dr. Eggman. Sonic is underrepped, villains are underrepped, Eggman is one of the most iconic villains and one of the most iconic Sonics.
  11. Blanka was a me pick of sorts. It doesn't really make sense to only rep a fighting game series, known for its wide cast, with the basic protagonist - and Blanka is my favourite of the SF cast.
  12. M-rated games are underrepped, gritty games are underrepped, Western games are underrepped - these 3 things were all being kept in mind heavily for 3Ps. CJ is a somewhat humourous pick that would catch people off-guard and get people talking - but, like Steve, makes perfect sense when you step back and forget about the Smash discourse and fan rules.
  13. Sub-Zero basically has the same reasoning as CJ, even if not exactly as memetic. I chose Sub-Zero over Scorpion simply because I think ice is more unique, with there only really being one character in Smash who is mostly ice-based. Also a bit interesting as a series that has infamously flopped in Japan. MK also has an interesting role in Nintendo history, which would give SZ's inclusion a bit of irony factor.
  14. Kratos is the most iconic PlayStation character, and falls under the gritty Western M-rated camp. I think I would want to encourage a Nintendo-based audience to learn more about PS.
  15. PaRappa supplements Kratos as a sort of way to say to Nintendo fans "hey, PlayStation does silly kiddie stuff too!". A lot of PaRappa fans haven't played the games, so it's very likely that he has a bigger fandom overlap with Nintendo than any other PS character. Also technically the first rhythm game (this title is somewhat dubious, but mostly correct) so a nice game to honour. Also a me-pick, as should be obvious
  16. Master Chief fills the big 3 criteria I was looking for, and also properly represents Xbox after two non-Xbox-associated Microsoft reps.
  17. Nintendo fans don't like Call of Duty - at all, it almost has a cryptid-like status where nobody in the Nintendo scene knows anything about it, but hates it for... killing platformers or something (which it didn't). Ghost is probably the most controversial non-echo on the roster for this, so I guess you could call him an "evil pick". I think a game this big should probably be represented somehow, and it'd be nice to try and quell the sheer hatred Nintendo fans have for COD, even if it'd be at its most intense before the reveal sets in. Ghost was chosen because the mask gives him a slightly more stylised edge.
  18. Adventurer? Want to teach Nintendo fans about history, simple really. I chose the square over the dragons/ducks/seahorses because well... playing as a faceless square is funny, and feels more representative of "character design" of the era.

Now, the echoes, these were a little more driven by personal bias.
  1. Dr. Bowser is THE joke pick. I have no non-comedic justification for him, that's why he got in. Just a weird, obscure, excessively nonsensical pick who gets a quick laugh every time you hover over him on the CSS. While I like Igglybuff and Small Mario better for this role, I think that Dr. Bowser benefits from being more obscure (being from a defunct mobile game), the sheer juxtaposition of a powerful monster being a professional heathcare expert, and technically being a mixture of two Smash characters. It all just culminates in something very bizarre and questionable, wheras Small Mario and Igglybuff are well known characters in their own right regardless of how frail they are.
  2. Paula is just a very obvious pick - all of Ness' moves are from her, why wouldn't she get in as an echo? Plus, she is really the true hero of EarthBound all things considered. I think having female echoes of male characters is a very good thing to do, so people who want to play as a woman but like the moveset of another character could have an option.
  3. Malos was a response to a mistake I feel I made with the initial version - an overcorrection on "anime swordfighters".
  4. While the other 2 retro picks are third party, The Amazon is for the retro Nintendo fans specifically. I also think cross-series echoes are fun, and The Amazon makes a lot of sense since few of Incin's moves are that heavily themed, while Pro Wrestling is a very popular NES title.
  5. The Classic Sonic games are near-universally regarded as the series' peak, so it's frankly a little bizarre as is that the series' representation leans so much towards the modern games. Hell, I could imagine Modern Sonic being the one with the echo e and adjective in his name this go around.
  6. Most of the 3P picks here are general gaming history picks rather than Nintendo picks, with Blanka as the main and barely-counting exception - Roll is here to somewhat remedy that, so the Nintendo side of the fandom gets a pick they're more familiar with in the 3P pool. I chose her over ProtoMan for the same reason I mentioned for Paula earlier.
  7. Zack Fair was added for the same reason as Malos. Additionally, FF is such a big deal that it'd be strange to not give it a 3rd rep.
  8. Giana is a historical curio, which I think is fun. I regretted not putting in a microcomputer rep (I couldn't think of one who didn't overlap somehow with Adventurer), and I think having a rip-off game represented as an echo fighter is just very cheeky and clever. This Giana would have a design similar to her original version instead of the Twisted Dreams version to further drive in the intent as a microcomputer rep, but would also be less ugly and a little more cartoonish, sorta like a reverse Pit. I think it's nice to represent something Nintendo were previously against, like with Sub-Zero earlier.
If you remember this roster, I've made a DLC lineup to go with it - this roster takes Smash fandom and marketability into account much more heavily. All except one of these is 3P since... TBH, the well is kinda dry for 1Ps from a marketability perspective, especially with Waluigi in now, and I don't want to make a bunch of blank spaces for "CURRENTLY NON-EXISTENT POKEMON" and "CURRENTLY NON-EXISTENT FIRE EMBLEM NON-LORD" - HOWEVER, this will not be dominated by fan demand entirely - I'm considering silent fandoms, new fandoms to draw to Smash, and fandoms who may have overlap but generally stay out of Smash speculation due to being seen as "impossible" as well. There's 5 "fans want this" picks and 5 "we'll make fans with this"/"fans don't know they want this" picks. I'm not the most satisfied with this DLC lineup, and feel the Sora half of the roster is significantly worse than the Joker half (to be frank, most fan demanded Smash character picks are really lame)
View attachment 380806
  1. Crash Bandicoot - I'm not too keen on this guy as a Smash character, even as a huge fan, but I think it's "about time" he got in - I have true PS reps already and a non-Crash Activision character, so two of my biggest gripes are eliminated, and from a moveset perspective, well... it's my roster. I'd get to make the moveset. Also a scrimblo, so a good way to reassure fans "we're not going to have the same tone for every characters". Placed first so the DLC will start on a Nitro-box bang
  2. Agumon/Greymon - To be frank, this pick was entirely motivated by one thing: "Digimon vs. Pokemon". That is it. Agumon would be a stance fighter, as you can tell. A character who's very popular, especially in Japan, but doesn't have that much Smash demand. Will explain the #2 placement on #3
  3. Phoenix Wright - Another very big fan pick, perhaps a bit quirky but he makes sense, and Nintendo fans know who he is - both has fighting game material to work with and a lot of room for creative liberties. I don't want to do a one-two-punch and get everyone to expect picks that big the whole way through, so I put Agumon between him and Crash.
  4. Red Bird - A pick that's gaining popularity lately, and is from a series that, while it's fandom tends to keep to itself, makes megatons of money. Like Crash, he's a scrimblo, and he represents mobile games. I prefer Bad Piggies, but I think that's too risky. Put in the middle due to being potentially controversial
  5. Power Pro Kun - A huge IP over in Japan with some really interesting moveset ideas to draw from. Not sure how demanded he is in JP, but he's a big name that will attract a lot of players, and I think a Japanese-centric 3P was something essential left out of the initial roster. Probably best to leave low key in the middle instead of a big starter or ender given he doesn't have much worldwide reach
  6. Kefka - Maybe not a fan demand pick, but one most people will recognise or at least have a vague idea of. Reading up on his wiki article, he's oozing of moveset potential, and I really like the clown/jester theme. Placed just at the end of the middle since he's universally iconic and non-controversial, but also not a fan demand pick.
  7. Mettaton EX - Undertale is such a big IP that any character could be a million-seller on release day, since everyone has their favourite, so I'm going for MTT simply because I like him - I also think that, given how... sensually... Smash has tended to portray female characters, it'd nice to have a cute dude. Placed near the end - in spite of not being a big fan pick - because of UT's popularity and general demand for Smash, especially in Japan. If I went with Sans or Frisk, UT would've been the finale and topper.
  8. Shovel Knight - I want to end on a triple punch of fan favourites, and luckily Shovel Knight happens to be a game I like with a fun, unique weapon and potential for some fun gadgets, as well as a multitude of other cameos to draw from - plus, he's got a really significant role in gaming history. Overall, he's mostly a for-the-fans pick.
  9. Ashley & Red - This is a pick I'm VERY reluctant on, but looking at the most popular 1P candidates, she seems like the one I'd get the most mileage out of a moveset for. Smash doesn't have much in the way of spooky characters, and Ashley's got her whole food theme going on. She's certainly not as profitable as the other character choices here, even the oddballs like Pro-Kun, but Nintendo has used Ashley a lot for stuff like 3DS themes, Badge Arcade, and promotions for unrelated games, so I have a feeling there are some numbers only known behind the scenes that show that Ashley sells. Probably the most base game pick here, but she's also more DLC than the base game first parties sans Waluigi. Will divide some, but still popular enough to be part of the big 1-2-3 punch, plus placing her at the end will prevent players from overexpecting 1P content compared to if she were at the start or middle.
  10. Dante - The finale's gotta be a big fan pick, so Dante it is. I think he's got a fun attitude, and think his edgy vibes set him apart a little better from the other swordfighters. I also think that, given how little "anime swordfighters" have been in to this point, it'd nice to end by relapsing diving back into the subset. There may not be much sentimental to him in the way Adventurer (my imagined base game topper) was, but it's a good sendoff.
Honourable mentions: a Chrono Trigger character, Alis Landale, Ryu Hayabusa, Lara Croft, Doomguy, Bubsy, Reimu, Estelle, Fishbunjin 3000, Tetromino, Fortnite and Genshin characters, Peppino, Freddy Fazbear, a GG character, The Sims, and Canondorf - I didn't want to do more than one swordfighters after FP2's criticism and a side-over-protag for the Crono series was something I felt was too risky for a profit-driven roster compared to Undertale, Lara and Doomguy were scrapped due to the abundance of gritty characters from the West in base game, I felt that while Bubsy would sell he would also be percieved by some as a "meme pick" had a bit too strong a resemblance to Crash (im turning into venus), I only wanted one JP-regional character, which ended up being PPK, Fishbunjin, while sentimentally significant as a Smash pick, cannot and will not sell DLC, we already have a faceless square so Tetromino's at a disadvantage, and Fortnite and Genshin felt almost like malice picks, even if I'm sure a few people (or even the majority) would love them, and I felt I had enough zoomer/social-media-age characters as is with Red, SK, and Mettaton so Freddy and Peppino had to go, for GG I didn't want to do Sol and I had already decided to go half-and-half on fan demand and unexpected-but-popular picks and had done all 5 unexpected picks, while Sol is the only highly wanted character from the set. The Sims was also just a victim of bad timing. While I could justify Canondorf in a separate slot for base game, I cannot for paid DLC, and by no means would I want to get rid of Falcondorf.
I'm quite keen on these two rosters, so I may as well make a part 3 - DLC pass 2 has a lower budget, and as a result all characters are from already represented series within the fighter roster and do not come with any content aside from the fighter and their alts. Marketability is considered more than base roster but less than DLC pack 1, think of it as a "victory lap" where the game's already proven profitable, and we're not denting too much into that profit to squeeze a bit extra out with low stakes. There are 4 conventional picks and 3 that are a little out there - the "out there" picks all have some kind of conceptual gimmick to them (being a spaceship, being seasonally themed, and being an iconic public domain character respectively) I imagine this set could be announced at once, unlike the previous DLC list which is very reliant on its ordering and hype factor.
Screenshot 2023-12-09 202724.png

  1. Slime - The one mook who wouldn't be instantly labled a "joke pick", and put there for JP appeal and to establish the returning-IP-based choices. I intend for Slime to be a double reveal with the following character, who was put in for US appeal and would also establish the returning IP-based newcomers...
  2. Knuckles - US Smash fans want LOTS of Sonic. LOTS AND LOTS, so we may as well double dip after the bad doctor's takeover. I was considering Tails, but Knuckles is a bigger fan request and I don't want to just surprise people.
  3. Gyaraga - Categorised as part of the Pac-Man series, sold less on the source material and more the concept of "Woah, I can play as a spaceship!". Placed near the beginning since I think "wacky" or otherwise unconventional choices go best there instead of in the major anticipation zone at the end, also just fun to start off so strong then take a strange pivot. Chosen over Arwing due to higher brand recognition, as well as Galaga not having any characters people may feel attached to and upset about should they be sidelined for the faceless spaceship
  4. Chun-Li - a character who's been gaining popularity in speculation lately - I'm sure more than a few people were let down by Blanka, and SF is the perfect storm of being a series with a strong tie to Nintendo, a strong tie to general gaming, and a significant fandom overlap with Smash. This also means that both returning 3P series with newcomers in base game are double-dipped
  5. Jingle - A new Animal Crossing rep had to happen, and Jingle strikes me as a really fun choice who wouldn't have too much moveset overlap with Villager. I could imagine him being placed as a Christmas reveal, hence why he's near the middle, starting in the middle of the year and saying you're ending Q2 next year sounds longer that starting at the start of the year - that being said, I pushed him down a little since I didn't want to go for two unconventional/unrequested picks in a row
  6. Decidueye - I do not like Decidueye, and always felt it was a kinda lame, arbitrary Smash pick only thought up to meet grass quota, is inferior as a pick to its unevolved equivalents, is the worst final evo of its game, and I think there was enough Pokemon newcomers in the base game, among a lot of other gripes... that being said, I wanna be generous for once, and the ultimate "missed the bus" character? I guess I'll allow it for the sheer "tragedy averted" quality alone. If any pick is a "gift you should be grateful for" instead of a creative or financial decision, it's this one. Placed second to last because, you know, a "never ever" fan pick, of course you gotta put it last.
  7. Dracula - Another pick sold on gimmick value rather than attachment to the source material, just like Gyaraga - it's Dracula, what more do I need to say? A bat**** insane but very statisfying topper, but one I believe Castlevania fans would welcome as much as those who just think having Dracula in the game is funny.
And so, there's 129 characters!

Anime Fighting Game but it was released for early PS1 so only series prior to 1996 are listed.
Replace Devilman with Ranma Saotome, and we could very well see an English release for this fighting game.

As its own roster, I can hardly pick a favorite. If a random selection button was here, I'd just main that.

Four Rayman characters out of a 14 character roster and no Rabbids is like probably the furthest possible thing Ubisoft would do

200-man roster. I've done this before, and I was gonna wait until I made a proper graphic for it... but I think I'm finally happy with what I've got here. My most wanteds! Important gaming history picks! Odd, yet fun characters! A solid blend of Nintendo and third-party picks! It's got everything I wanted to do!

(I did cap myself to give every veteran franchise a cap of two more than its roster size in Ultimate - So I could only give Mario 11 slots, for instance. This required me to get a little creative, but it did make the process a lot more fun!)

Great roster with a lot of amazing picks! My only actual critique here is that Revali somehow got on twice.

Imagine this guy from the Game Boy Camera possessing a Game Boy and having a moveset based around glitches and Game Boy peripherals.

Yeah, no clue how Revali got there twice - He didn't replace anybody AFAIK, but if I do make a roster graphic for this, this will be remedied.

PlayStation All-Stars: Rematch - The roster is slightly over doubled, everyone is back except for Evil Cole, and the scrapped DLC characters are here. Each first game character is back and has a new rival, with two newcomers (Crash and Spyro) being assigned as one another's rivals instead of to a veteran's. Licensed game characters are in but used sparingly
  1. Kratos vs. Ezio
  2. PaRappa vs. Tony Hawk
  3. Fat Princess vs. Lizbert Megafig
  4. Sweet Tooth vs. Nitros Oxide
  5. Colonel Radec vs. Nemesis
  6. Sly Cooper vs. Gex
  7. Nathan Drake vs. Lara Croft
  8. Cole vs. Sans
  9. Ratchet and Clank vs. Sonic the Hedgehog
  10. Jak and Daxter vs. Joel and Ellie
  11. Big Daddy vs. Colossus 16
  12. Dante (Classic design, not DMC) vs. Sephiroth
  13. Heihachi vs. Senator Armstrong
  14. Nariko vs. Aloy
  15. Raiden vs. Solid Snake
  16. Sackboy vs. Hat Kid
  17. Sir Daniel vs. The Hunter
  18. Spike vs. Atreus
  19. Toro vs. Jake (Dog's Life)
  20. Kat and Dusty vs. UmJammer Lammy

After years of war, the universe seemed to finally be at peace, the world is safe and all the heroes now rest with their dearest ones...until a strange phenomenon connects this dimension with the world of “Aleodos”, a different dimension whose coordinates are the same as our Solar System; the phenomenon threats with assimilating both worlds into one possibly killing everyone else in the proccess. Now, heroes of both realms will require to cooperate to save their homes while also dealing with the inmediate problems.

The game takes a variation of the "Earth and Space" routes, having instead the "Solar System" route and the "Aleodos" route, both travels around their respective systems and their planets, at certain points in the game both worlds starts to assimilate themselves forcing the protagonist's group to move to the other system.

We control either a guy from Earth or a girl from Aleodos, both of them suddenly swapped places with one another after being summoned by a so-called "Magician" who gifts to our selected protagonist the Deltos, a sentient golem that can fuse with them to form the Deltorias; the guardian of the world.

  • Shin Mazinger Z, New Getter Robo, Kotetsushin Jeeg, Gaiking LDM, Raideen, all Gundams, GaoGaiGar, Dynazenon, Captain Earth, Heroman, Majestic Prince and Eureka Seven takes place in the Solar System.
    • The Mycaene, the Onis, the Yamatais, the Darius, the Trinary Solar System and the Wulgarus comes from Aleodos.
    • The timeline of Eureka Seven is fixed and instead of having the Summer of Love being an event of 10,000 years ago, it happened 100 years ago.
  • Aura Battler Dunbine, Knight's and Magic, Broken Blade, Nobunaga the Fool, Heavy Metal L-Gaim and Gun X Sword takes place in the world of Aleodos.
    • The world of Endless Illusion is finally a proper planet instead of being part of a terraformed Mars.
    • Much like in T, Byston Well and Cephiro coexists in a single world, alongside the reign of Knight's and Magic like in 30.
    • The world of the Wulgarus and the Trinary Solar System aren't exactly part of Aleodos but from near systems.
  • Special situations:
    • Rayearth merges elements of the original show and manga with the OVAs reinterpretation (most notoriously, the world of Cephiro starting to merge with Earth), so the story takes places in both Earth and Aleodos.
    • Cross Ange takes place in Aelodos, but the "true Earth" where the dragons come is a different planet far away of the principal system of Aleodos (but not an actual different universe).
    • RahXephon takes place on the Solar System, though it actually takes place in Jupiter instead of a simulation of the planet.
    • Gaea is of course part of Aleodos, thought the dragons from Escaflowne are different from those of Cross Ange and unrelated.
  • Moon Gundam works similar to Hathaway Flash here, with little content actually adapted being nearly unit only. Thought since it is basically a prequel to CC it's role is quite stronger.
    • Much like in Z, Unicorn and CC are merged into one single event, this time also using Narrative thought is mostly just in terms of "chase the Phenex" than anything.
  • I pretty much wanted to have an excuse to have all "Shin" Nagai's mecha (Getter being an honorable mention) and with it, a "Shin Dynamic Special" why not!
  • GaoGaiGar will suffer of the Gurren Lagann syndrome of X, having most of their plot untold until the last quarter of the game where the group goes to the Trinary Solar System.
  • Yeah you can pretty much say that this is X 2.0, at least I tried to have a little more of sense with the dimensional travelling.
  • Dynazenon is, by all accounts, something in the real world and not inside Gridman Universe, thought the Cyberspace is considered an "Interdimensional boundary", like a place that exists between worlds. (Gridman Universe spoilers)
  • Majestic Prince, Raideen, Dunbine and Heroman are post-plot. Shin Mazinger Z, Cross Ange and Gun X Sword starts at half of their stories.
  • The unselected OG protagonist would join to the group at half game revealing that he also had a Deltos, both Deltos merge into one and the two protagonists can combine with the new Deltos to create the unit upgrade, King Deltorias.
  • The final opponent is some sort of order entity that wants to concentrate everything in a single point to stop the entropy of the universe.

Alternate universe DC VS SNK series. Not 1 to 1 with Marvel VS CAPCOM, but a lot of decisions are informed by it.

DC’s Batman (1993)

Batman: Gotham Knights (1994)
  • Fighting game which expands from/reuses some of the assets from the previous game. General character designs take after the Animated Series, and several of the voice actors reprise their roles (Kevin Conroy, Mark Hammil, Arleen Sorkin, etc.) as well.

If you’re wondering if there are any other equivalents, let’s say there are versions of CAPCOM VS SNK, as well as a Tecmo X SNK strategy RPG, a King of Fighters X Dead or Alive game, and “Proposal X Dimension”, which also features Tecmo and HudsonSoft. But I’m too lazy to do those.

PlayStation All-Stars: Rematch - The roster is slightly over doubled, everyone is back except for Evil Cole, and the scrapped DLC characters are here. 3. Fat Princess vs. Lizbert Megafig
  4. Sweet Tooth vs. Nitros Oxide

I should note that several of the picks you included on the SNK side, such as Galaxy Fight, Waku Waku 7 and Gowcaizer, aren't actually owned by SNK, unless you're going for a general Neo Geo-themed roster.

also Mechazawa based

I assume alternate universe where SNK owns them, sure. Plus SNK doesn’t have as many big series as CAPCOM. If not, though, swap Politank with another King of the Monsters character, for one.

Pixar VS DreamWorks
Sticking with just Pixar and DreamWorks 3D animated movies mainly, no other Disney or Universal stuff. Also semi-realistic so no Moses, as much as that’d entertain me, and no totally licensed stuff like Captain Underpants or Aardman, sadly, though I’m a little bit loose on two inclusions. Also a somewhat smaller roster, just slightly over the size of Tatsunoko VS CAPCOM or Nick All-Star Brawl 1 post DLC.

Pixar
  • Woody (Toy Story)
  • Buzz Lightyear (Toy Story)
  • Flik (A Bug’s Life)
  • Mike & Sulley (Monsters Inc.)
  • Marlin (Finding Nemo)
  • ElastiGirl (The Incredibles)
  • Lightning McQueen (Cars)
  • Remy & Linguini (Ratatouille)
  • WALL-E
  • Carl Fredrickson (Up)
  • Merida (Brave)
  • Miguel (Coco)
  • Joe Gardner (Soul)
  • Meilin Lee (Turning Red)
  • Ember & Wade (Elemental)
  • Toy Story feels like the biggest and most signature series, and Woody and Buzz feel very distinct from each other, so it warrants two reps, IMO.
  • I didn’t want to double up on duos too much, only where it seems to make sense. Mike & Sulley are a more Banjo & Kazooie/Ren & Stimpy type, while Remy is simply just on top of Linguini’s head like in the film, and for all intents and purposes, they’re a singular fighter in action.
  • ElastiGirl was picked over Mr. Incredible mainly for moveset potential (elasticity and shapeshifting VS simply being strong) and she’s basically a co-protagonist anyways.
  • I have no clue how Marlin is going to function here if it’s a platform fighter. But he feels too major to leave out, especially with a certain facet of the Pixar/Dreamworks rivalry. Other than that, I mostly narrowed it down to mainly successful, liked films, characters I could see fighting, or both. Yes, even Lightning can do it if Hornet from Daytona USA can.

Dreamworks
  • Z (Antz)
  • Chip Hazard (Small Soldiers)
  • Shrek
  • **** in Boots (Shrek)
  • Oscar (Shark Tale)
  • Alex the Lion (Madagascar)
  • Barry B. Benson (Bee Movie)
  • Po Ping (Kung-Fu Panda)
  • BOB (Monsters VS Aliens)
  • Hiccup & Toothless (How to Train Your Dragon)
  • Megamind
  • Grug (The Croods)
  • Poppy (Trolls)
  • Mr. Wolf (The Bad Guys)

  • Z, Oscar, and the least conventional pick, Chip Hazard, are all here because their movies seem to be the most direct “here’s our take on a Pixar premise, more or less”, with Antz especially paralleling A Bugs’ Life, Shark Tale coming out a year after Finding Nemo, and Small Soldiers doing a different take on living toys from Toy Story. Chip’s movie is technically not animated, but it seemed too good a rivalry to pass up.
  • Shrek is the only one with two characters here, as it also seems the most signature series for DreamWorks, and has the most sequels and spin-offs, as far as I can tell. **** in Boots also has his own separate films, so it makes some sense.
  • To note also, with the varying likes of BOB, toys, fish, and literal ants, that everyone is at a somewhat reasonable size compared to each other. For all we know, they might all be toys!
  • Trolls is technically based on the actual Troll dolls, and the Bad Guys is technically from a book, but then again, so is Shrek, and the Trolls get to appear in Dreamworks’s new opening, so I assume it’s not much of a problem. The Bad Guys also doesn’t seem so obviously known as something else previously like Captain Underpants or Mr. Peabody & Sherman.
  • Boss Baby isn’t here for similar reasons as to why the Rugrats themselves aren’t in NASB. Don’t kick the baby.

Also Luxo Jr. and the kid with the fishing pole are bosses. Yes.

  • You can now use the Spirit Rematch feature to rematch bosses individually
  • Assist Trophies
    • Futaba
    • Slime
    • Mumbo Jumbo
    • Nakoruru
    • Creeper
    • Yoshimitsu
    • Riku
  • Poké Balls
    • Cramorant
    • Tinkaton
  • Rollback netcode
  • Input delay has been dropped to 4-6 frames
  • Major balance changes
  • You can now use the My Music feature to play any song on any stage you'd like
  • You can now use the hazard toggle to toggle individual stage hazards
  • You can now check a more detailed list of conditions before a Spirit Battle at the press of a button
  • You can now use the Item Switch to individually toggle Assist Trophies and Poké Balls
  • Most Classic Mode routes and Spirit Battles have been reworked with post-2018 content in mind
