I think that Nintendo All-Stars without Nintendo is full of characters that were iconic to Nintendo Consoles that weren't owned by Nintendo. I may be wrong but I don't think that Pac-Man had any major games that were considered iconic to Nintendo Consoles.
It's worth noting that Namco arcade ports - such as, indeed, Pac-Man - were a very important early factor in building the Famicom's success in Japan, so I say he definitely counts for a third-party Nintendo all-stars roster

I thought of this before it was rumored that WB and Paramount were merging, but what if Player First Games made Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl with their MultiVersus pitch?

Zelda: Hyrule Fighters. Developed by Arc System Works

Roster
download__5_-removebg-preview.png

  • Link, Zelda, Ganondorf
Our there must haves. Link is your all around character, Zelda is a more tricky character to use, and Ganon is a heavy swordsman.
  • Impa
Another fairly obvious pick. A quick speedy ninja, and she would have attacks that use her old woman form. She'd be slightly aged up than the form seen above.
  • Revali, Urbosa, Daruk, Mipha
The Champions. They each represent a element and a different race from the Zelda series. Revali can fly and use his bow, he's a long ranged fighter, Urbosa is a powerful fighter who does sword dancing, Daruk is a heavy fighter who throws rocks and slams his hammer down, Mipha uses her staff and can do water bending.
  • Purah, Rhoam, Rauru, Kohga
More characters from the modern games. Purah is a gaget based fighter and summons the other BOTW Sheikah. Rauru uses the mechanics of TOTK in his moveset. Rhoam is a powerful heavy swordsman. Kohga summons the other Yiga clan members like the Ginyu force.
  • Young Link
Fights using the Masks from Majora's Mask. Is a stance change fighter with a set order for each Mask. He has a meater which you must build up in order to transform into Fierce Deity Link.
  • Sheik, Tingle, Skull Kid
Our N64 era reps. Sheik is a ninja and has a lot of her attacks from Smash. Tingle is a wacky gag character who pulls stuff from hammer space. Skull Kid is a floaty magic user and can summon the moon in his super
  • Marin
Fights with her bell, which can summon the Wind Fish, and other attacks based on Links Awakening. She can also okay her harp in order to create a dream-like effect in reference to her origins from her home game.
  • Onox
One of our obscure picks who hasn't been in a game in forever. Another villain and a reference to the Oracle games. Fights using his ball and chain which he slams down and swings around.
  • Toon Link, Tetra
Our Wind Waker reps. Toon Link uses attacks based on the gamea in which he has appeared, such as the Wind Waker, the Phantom Sword and the Sand Wand. Tetra uses her cutlass and can transform into Toon Zelda for brief attacks.
  • Vaati
A big fan favourite who makes his long awaited return. He fights using dark magic and can fire out balls of dark energy. He can transform into his other forma for his supers.
  • Midna, Agatha, Zant
Our Twilight Princess reps. Midna is in her small form by default. She can summon Wolf Link, whip her hair around and grab fighters with it, and use dark magic to fight. She transforms into her full form for her supers. Agatga is an unusual fighter who attacks with her umbrella and flies around with it, uses a big net to attack and grab opponents, and summons legions of bugs to fight for her. Zant uses his body in unusual ways, twisting and turning and also uses the power of Twilight to fight.
  • Fi, Groose, Ghirahim
  • Our Skyward Sword representatives. Fi is a floaty magic user, not a big hitter but quick and hard to hit. Groose is a big brawler, who loves to flex his muscles and use plenty of unorthodox gag attacks. Ghirahim is a sword user, quick on his feet and flamboyant, he loves to jump around and freak out his opponents by flicking his tounge.
  • Ravio
From a Link between Worlds. He fights mainly using his hammer like in Hyrule Warrors. He also pulls out various items and had a money mechanic, based around his role as a shopkeep.
  • Linkle
Our sole Hyrule Warriors rep. She fights much as she does in that game, using her bow, her kicks, and attacks based on Link.
  • OC
Every Arc System Works tie in game has one of these. An original antagonist who is bringing all these timelines together. Don't have much on them design or gameplay wise, that'd be up to the devs.
DLC

Season 1:
download__6_-removebg-preview.png

  • Sidon
A big seller to start off DLC. He'd use water attacks like his sister, but would be much more close combat focused and would smack you around with his staffs. His flirty nature would play into his moveset.
  • Yuga
The main antagonist of ALBW. He'd fight dying his pant brush, using it to create objects and characters who fight for him.
  • Medli
I felt Wind Water was due another rep and wanted to do something a bit out of the box. She would act as a rep for the Ruto. She uses her harp to attack, which can create gusts of wind and even tornados. She can also summon Valoo for special attacks.
  • Agahnim
DLC being non canon allows this guy to exist alongside Ganon. He'd mainly use lightening magic, but would use other spells too and would be a keep away character.
  • Saria
A character who I always felt would have been really fun in Hyrule Warriors. She would fight using a slingshot and Deku nuts, which she would have to keep track of. She could create deku sprouts with them and even summon the great Deku Tree for a super.
  • Veran
Another obscure villain given new life. from the Oracle games. She would attack with lightning and shadow based attacks and could also turn into various giant insects for her supers.
  • Demise
A big pick to end our first season of DLC on. The main villain of Skyward Sword. He would fight with his sword, wo th big powerful swipes that create flames and darkness, and could turn into his final form for special attacks.

Season 2
download__7_-removebg-preview.png

  • Hero's Shade
Another Link to start our second season off, but one who is very different to any other link in our roster in both moveset and visual appearance. He is a slow, heavy fighter with some attacks based on OoT. He would have somewhat awkward movement she to his skeletal form but would have some of the best attack power in the game . He's kind of immortal, which obviously isn't very good for a fighting game but we can come up with some way around it in universe. He could perhaps have some form of temporary super armror
  • Twinrova
A stance change fighter, would be able to switch from the two witches, who are extremely quick and hard to hit but weak, to the larger, slower but much more powerful rises form. In the split from they attack with fire and ice attacks, which become one hand they fuse. You would need to power up the fuson.
  • Hilda
Rounding out the ALBW trio. She would be a more dark magic focused version I Zelda, with a similar frame and build but different attacks.
  • Linebeck
I just like Wind Waker, okay? He would have a pirate based moveset. Canons, could attack with a looking glass, summon a ship and waves, appear out of a box, Rob items from an opponent, and more.
  • Beedle
The most "WTH" pick in my roster in my honest opinion. He would be based more on his appearance in Tears of the Kingdom. He would be a pretty weak fighter, with not much attack power. He would run away a lot, which can actually be used to attack. He does, however, have acesses to the seemingly endless rucksack he carries on his back, which he can pull items from to attack with.
  • Classic Link
A final Link to finish us off. This Link would specificly be based on the classic NES and SNES titles. He'd have acesss to a lot of classic items and power ups, and would come equipped with classic sounds and visual effects.
  • Ganon
To go alongside the classic inspired Link we just added, here's classic, big blue pig ganon. He would have a truly monstrous playstyle, with heavy swipes and using his body to attack. He'd wield his trident and also use dark magic.

A Marvel fighting game that takes a form you would not expect.

X-Men: Age of Apocalypse

Base Roster
download__9_-removebg-preview.png

  • Wolverine, Cyclops, Phoenix, Storm
All extremely obvious picks who kind of need to be here. Not much to really say, they'd play similarly to how they do in the MVC games with some more modem touches.
  • Iceman, Beast, Archangel
The remaining original X-Men. Iceman would be smaller to how he was in MVC2. Beast would be a grappler who also makes use of gadgets. Archangel would be able to fly and transform between his two forms. Making him Archangel by Default was because I felt he was more popular and also fits with who our main villain is.
  • Nightcrawler, Colossus
Two characters who have yet to be in a fighting game. Nightcrawler would teleport around the stage and use his sword and tail to attack. Colossus would be a heavy brawler and could also call on Kitty Pride for help.
  • Gambit, Rouge, Psylocke
Three very popular X-Men characters. They'd play pretty similar to how they did in MVC2, but with new moves and effects to make use of modern technology.
  • Banshee, Sunfire, Warpath
Three lesser known X-Men characters, but ones who are important to the team. Banshee would use his screams, Sunfire would use, well, fire, and Warpath would be a melee fighter with a lot of stabbing and grabbing.
  • Jubilee
A character who is iconic but somewhat of a joke in fandom. She'd use her fireworks, being able to charge them up. She could also possibly use vampiric abilities in reference to that time she was a vampire (comics are weird)
  • Cable, Bishop, Marrow
Cable and Bishop felt like obvious picks considering who our main antagonist is. Cable would very much be like his MVC 2 self, using big guns, but could also call in help from Hope Summers. Bishop would be similar, but have his own moves, using time travel tech. Marrow returns from MVC2 as a fun lesser known pick
  • Wolfsbane, Magik, Multiple Man, Warlock
Our spin off characters taking from the New Mutants and the X-Factor. Wolfsbane is quick and feral, Magik uses her sword and opens portals to help to summon demons, Multiple Man fights using multiple copies of himself, Warlock is a large bodied energy being and is the craziest character in the game.
  • Armor
A more modern X-Men pick. She can create a suit of energy based armor around her and can create weapons.
  • Emma Frost
A main stay X-Men character by this point. She can use telepathic attacks and can also turn her body to ice.
  • Magneto, Mystique, Sabertooth, Juggernuat, Omega Red, Deathstryke
Our Brotherhood line up. All classic X-Men villains. Deathstryke plays how you would expect, Mystique plays like Shang Tsung, being able to transform into other fighters.
  • Sentinel, Spiral
These two have already been in a MvC game before and would be similar to how they appeared before.
  • Deadpool, Domino, Fantomex, Canonball, X23
Our X-Force line up. X23 would have a more modern costume but would be similar to how she was in MVC3. Domino would be an agile gun user. Fantomex would be a quick and speedy gin user. Canonball can shoot himself forwards.
  • Mr. Sinister, Apocalypse
Our Sub-Boss and Final Boss. Sinister can clone himself. Apocalypse is the final boss and has a giant form and a normal fighter from.

DLC
download__11_-removebg-preview.png

  • Professor X
Fights in his big yellow chair. Uses telepathic attacks.
  • Havok
Cyclops 's brother. He can shoot energy from his body.
  • Strong Guy
A real "who?" pick . He's what you'd expect, a big heavy brawler.
  • Boom Boom
Another "who?" pick. She can create fireballs form her hands and has a punky attitude.
  • Silver Samurai
The last of our MVC vets. He's a sword fighter like you'd expect
  • Ms. Marvel
A "guest" fighter , though she has recently been retconned to be a mutant. She'd have her MCU powers.

Stages
  • Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters
  • Danger Room
  • Genosha
  • Asteroid M
  • Krakoa
  • Morlock Tunnels
  • Muir Island
  • Savage Land
  • Mojoworld

A Smash roster, but mainly focusing on rivals - Not entirely villains or main antagonists (though a few of those did sneak in), but those that have a deeper connection with their respective protagonist. Most of the fighters rival someone in Ultimate's roster, but I did include a few bonus characters who rival heavily requested fighters (and a bias pick).

The game's premise would return to the wackier style of Smash 64, with the "plot" being Waluigi, tired of being snubbed for Smash, hiring Wario to create his own Smash game. Waluigi himself is the final boss (piloting some sort of mech), but Master Hand shows up in the final cutscene to sue the WaBros for their blatant copyright infringement.

Super Smash Bros. if it started today, characters (bottom two rows are DLC), stages (one per character like NASB), and assist trophies

This is a pretty cool roster, and I like that you addressed who would be the assists.

I’ll make my attempt at a 25 (technically 26) unique fighter roster with 8 (technically 10) DLC fighters.

Base Roster
Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Wario
Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, Samus, Byleth, Kirby, King Dedede
Pikachu, Mew, Meowscarada, Villager, Isabelle, Olimar, Noah/Mio (I guess make this like Sheik/Zelda)
Inkling, Pac-Man, Sonic, Mii Fighter

DLC Roster
Pokemon Trainer (This would be the bonus DLC fighter), Fox, Bayonetta, Ryu
Alear, Ice Climbers, Tidus, Sora

Byleth is a case where 3 Houses is better received than Engage both commercially and critically, so it takes priority for base game.
Mew is just a case of bias, but honestly any other notable pokemon would be feasible like Eevee, Mewtwo, Lucario, Greninja, or Mimickyu.
I think that I would’ve gone with Xenoblade 3 in this case instead of the other games.
I feel like third parties are important, and I think the first four that I chose would probably be the biggest priorities.
I think that a playable pokemon trainer is important, and setting her/him to DLC gives me extra time to work on her/him. I’ll just assume Ultimate’s line up as it has Charizard, and generation consistency keeps it easy on me.
Outside of Alear, everyone in the second row of DLC is really just cases of bias, and it doesn’t help that Diddy, Meta Knight, BWD, and some of the other pokemon/retros have been set to assists.

Base Stages
Mushroomy Kingdom (not abandoned), Luigi’s Mansion, Above Peach‘s Castle, Dinosaur Land (just Yoshi’s Island Melee), Bowser’s Castle, Jungle Japes, Wario Ware
Nadhoya Shrine, Hyrule Castle, Gerudo Valley, Darion, Garreg Mach, Green Greens, Castle Dedede
Pokemon Stadium, Cinnabar Lab, Paldea Pokemon League, New Island, Town and City, Distant Spring, Alfeto Valley
Urchin Underpass, Pac-Maze, Green Hill Zone, Wuhu Island

DLC Stages
Pallet Town, Great Fox, Umbral Clock Tower, Suzaku Castle
Elusia Castle, Icicle Mountain (NES), Luka Stadium, Twilight Town

Assists
Juggler, Waluigi, Bowser Jr., Kamek, Diddy Kong, Ashley, Little Mac, Duck Hunt Dog
R.O.B., Impa, Midna, Metroid, Pit, Blue Falcon, Marth, Sommie
Meta Knight, Bandana Waddle Dee, Arwing, Ness, Tom Nook, Bulborb, Shulk, DJ Octavio
Spring Man, Ring Fit Trainee, Ghosts, Shadow

Pokeball Pokemon
Meowth, Gengar, Eevee, Mewtwo, Scizor, Pichu, Suicune, Gardevoir
Deoxys, Lucario, Garchomp, Darkrai, Snivy, Zoroark, Chandelure, Victini
Greninja, Slurpuff, Xerneas, Decidueye, Bewear, Mimickyu, Cinderace, Toxtricity
Sneasler, Tinkaton, Flutter Mane, Iron Bundle

Celebrating Disney's 100th anniversary, I decided to remake my old Disney PF roster. It had a few choices I was not very happy with and I felt there was some slight room for improvement, especially after running the (sadly now deceased) Disney PF thread. So, without any further ado, this is the "new" Disney PF roster I came up with:
DisneyRoster_2_small.png
Still 30 characters, because I believe this is the right amount of fighters for a brand new game that has such an extensive pool of characters to pick from as Disney. Again, I tried to strike a decent balance between old and new, Disney and Pixar, males and females, and ethnic diversity.
  • One thing I should have added while describing the old roster (since I had already come up with this idea) is that each character is classified in one of six archetypes, kind of like MultiVersus. The archetypes are:
    • All-Around: reserved to those fighters who are jack-of-all-trades but masters of none. Uniquely, All-Around is the rarest archetype of them all.
      • Fighters: Mickey Mouse, Cinderella

    • Champion: it's meant to be the bruiser-like archetype. It's rather common compared to other archetypes and it encompasses fighters with broadly different fighting styles that, in general, tend to fare very well in close quarters.
      • Fighters: Asha, Buzz Lightyear, Mrs. Incredible, Sulley & Mike, Simba, Mei Lee, Stitch, Donald Duck, Kuzco, Mary Poppins

    • Speedster: the archetype for fast, rushdown fighters. Speedsters sometimes might be also great campers, as they are mostly defined by their high speed and agility.
      • Fighters: Judy Hopps, Agent P, Mulan, EVE, Jack Skellington

    • Ranged: the zoners of the game! Ranged fighters tend to fare poorly in a melee, but their potential in the distance is unmatched.
      • Fighters: Elsa, Ethan Clade, Maleficent, Gaston, Genie
    • Tank: these fighters are often heavy and large, trading speed for survivability and raw power. Some tanks are also decent when fighting against zoners!
      • Fighters: Wreck-It Ralph, Maui, Baloo, the Manticore, Ursula
    • Quirky: this archetype is reserved to those fighters who have such unique gimmicks that their entire play-style kind of revolves around it. Quirky fighters are usually rather advanced and, after All-Around, it's the rarest archetype to be found in the game.
      • Fighters: Tigger, Tinker Bell, Dr. Facilier
  • I replaced a few characters for others:
    • Asha takes the place of Sora. In hindsight, representing Kingdom Hearts before Marvel, Star Wars, and FOX made no sense. And besides, Asha being the protagonist of the movie released on the 100th anniversary of Disney means that she will, most likely, be a mainstay of Disney for basically forever.
    • I dropped Nick Wilde and went with solo Judy Hopps. I think that a duo fighter made of Judy and Nick, while fun on paper, simply doesn't work because they are neither too similar (like the Ice Climbers) nor too different (like a duo you most likely have already noticed). And besides, I think that the police officer play-style is already plenty of fun.
    • I kind of switched The Beauty and the Beast and Monsters representation: Sulley & Mike and Gaston replaced the Beast and Randall. As much as I believe that Randall would have made for an interesting fighter, the whole difference here was made by Gaston, who I genuinely think would be one of the most interesting Disney characters to play as in a platform fighter. And Sulley was kinda disqualified by the Beast, as the two look quite similar and I didn't want to have both of them while also wanting to represent both their franchises in the roster. Welp, I think the selection is slightly more balanced now, as Gaston is also way more popular than Randall too.
    • Tigger replaced Pooh. This is mostly due to the fact that, as much as I love unassuming fighters (like Wii Fit Trainer or Isabelle), Tigger has simply a much more interesting moveset (and gimmick) potential.
    • The Manticore took the place of Ian Lightfoot. I already had a few mages, but only a very few swordfighters, and besides I really liked the Manticore in Onward, so I think that this change was for the best as well.
    • Mary Poppins replaces Jack Sparrow. While running the Disney PF thread, I realized that maybe including a character whose features are clearly based on a controversial actor may not be the smartest move. And I also realized that I had kind of underestimated the importance of the Mary Poppins franchise. So yeah, Mary Poppins we get.

I would like to briefly go over the roster as well:
  • Mickey Mouse is the shoto of the game, being the quintessential jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none character. His specials would include a projectile (based on Fantasia), a spinning attack (based on The Little Whirlwind), and a rising uppercut performed by a kangaroo (a slightly more deep cut, based on Mickey's Kangaroo), while his normals would reference some other classic cartoons he was featured in. In general, Mickey would be a very easy fighter to pick up and play as, as anybody would expect.
  • Asha is one of the few characters I completely don't know, since I already have to see Wish, but I included here since there is no way that she doesn't become a new mainstay Disney character. For this reason, I think that, regardless of her actual moves, she should be a more beginner-friendly character, though not as much as Mickey.
  • Elsa is a beginner-friendly zoner fighter, meant to be the introduction to the archetype. She has her iconic ice powers at her disposal and, as an added bonus, she takes less damage from ice-based attacks (the cold never bothered her anyway). However, she would struggle a bit in close quarters combat.
  • Buzz Lightyear is a small, medium-heavyweight fighter with good tools for most situations, though leaning more on the scrapper archetype. I went with Buzz instead of Woody because I believe that Buzz has more potential in terms of moveset, especially considering that he could use the space paraphernalia from the Lightyear movie as well.
  • Cinderella is another all-rounder, but this time she forgoes a bit of her ground game for an improved aerial game. I went with Cinderella instead of other classic Disney Princesses (namely, Snow White) because, in my opinion, Cinderella is the most vanilla of all Disney Princesses, thus making her the best representative of the franchise as a whole. It also helps that I REALLY like Cinderella as a movie.
  • Wreck-It Ralph is a shoo-in, arguably even more than Mickey, being the protagonist of a movie based on video games. Ralph is the heaviest and largest fighter in the game, but his moves would pack a serious punch. Also, a few of his attacks would be based on moves that DK performs in Smash.
  • Mrs. Incredible was chosen over her husband due to having more unique powers, as Mr. Incredible could have simply been "Ralph 2.0". Helen's stretchy powers on the other hand lend themselves to a very unique and fresh moveset.
  • Sulley & Mike join the roster as a duo, though not like the Ice Climbers. The player controls Sulley and Mike is on the background, appearing sometimes to enhance Sulley's attack's or to straight up perform some moves. The two would be pretty powerful in a fray, due to Sulley's imposing size.
  • Simba is my take on a quadrupedal fighter. He would be a large, somewhat heavy fighter that still is rather fast and mobile. His moveset would not be that particular, leaning on Simba's key trait, which is being a lion. And that's cool because lions are cool.
  • Judy Hopps is a speedster with quick, flashy attacks that chain up very well, being comparable to Fox McCloud in this regard. Judy would also use some police paraphernalia for some of her attacks, including handcuffs, a camera, and the recording carrot pen that whoever has seen Zootopia knows well. Despite the fact that Zootopia itself is losing some of its popularity, I had to include Judy due to my sheer love for this movie.
  • Maui was chosen over Moana due to moveset potential. I think that a heavyweight swordsman with transformations simply is unmatched in these regards. It also helps that Maui's over-the-top personality is very interesting and lends himself very well to a mascot PF like this one.
  • Agent P is yet another fast fighter with unique gadgets as well as high-profile QCC training. Agent P is also meant to be my first and only Disney TVA representative: I knew all along that I had to go with a Phineas & Ferb fighter for the TVA representative and while Dr. Doofenschmirtz was tempting, in the end I felt that a platypus that's also a secret agent was simply built for a game like this.
  • Mei Lee is a surprisingly powerful lightweight fighter that can turn parts of her body (or her whole body) into her red panda form to pack more punch. I feel that other than adding some well deserved Pixar representation to the mix, Mei Lee actually fits the game very well, so it's a win-win scenario
  • Ethan Clade is more on the zoner side of the spectrum, making great use of Splat and Pando pods to keep opponents at bay. Other than that, Ethan can make use of farming paraphernalia to deal with nearby foes.
  • Mulan is another swordfighter, but this time one that uses more of her finesse instead of raw power. However, Mulan's moveset also features staff swings and fireworks as projectiles. Mulan was definitely the one official Disney Princess I knew I had to include all along and personally I believe that she lends very well to a game like this.
  • Tigger would be one of the more unique fighters, essentially borrowing Sandbag's gimmick from SSF2 and repurposing it for his bouncy tail. Tigger would also be a very powerful air fighter with subpar ground attacks, emphasizing his jumpy attitude.
  • Stitch would be a ball of chaos dropped to the battlefield. With decent speed, powerful attacks, and even a set of projectiles, nobody is safe with him around. Also, Stitch would have a gimmick that permanently increases his power for the rest of the stock if his damage is over 100% or something, referencing the good/evil diagram Lilo uses with him.
  • Extremely biased pick here, but damn it, I really wanted Baloo to be into this. The Jungle Book is one of my favorite Disney movies ever and Baloo would be an amazing fighter, if only because he is so peaceful of a dude that having him fighting is so wrong. Most of his attacks would be based on The Jungle Book, but for his recovery I can see Baloo flying a plane like the one seen in TaleSpin.
  • Another very unique fighter, Tinker Bell is the free-flight character I have started to love after the Iron Giant in MultiVersus. Tinker Bell takes this to an extreme, as she is ALWAYS flying, meaning that she doesn't even have ground attacks. To add even more unique attributes to this little fairy, Tinker Bell is also the smallest and lightest fighter in the game. Tinker Bell might have worked very well as an assist-like fighter, but I think that her importance to the Disney company as a whole warranted her a spot in the roster.
  • Our first villain and our final starter fighter, Maleficent is a traditional zoner with her powerful spells. However, on the more unconventional side of things, I think it would be fun if she had one move that puts opponents to sleep. And for her big super move, I think it's well deserved if she transformed into a dragon
  • Donald Duck is our second Mickey & Friends character, but I think that nobody would be against his presence in the game (and that's even ignoring the fact that I absolutely ADORE Donald Duck). He would be a rushdown type of fighter, with a unique gimmick that increases the power of his attacks the more he is damaged (kind of like Lucario, but this time it makes sense). Some of Donald's attack even inflict self-damage, giving him great synergy with his gimmick. Poor Donald...
  • The Manticore is an all-around tank fighter, boasting decent stats, multiple jumps, and a lot of disjointed attacks coming from her sword or stinger. She even has some basic projectiles, courtesy of her fire-breathing antics. The Manticore would be on the simpler side of the spectrum, but she'd still be a fun addition.
  • EVE is a speedy zoner with very low survivability to balance her strengths. I know that maybe Wall-E would have been more unique, but I also wanted some deuteragonists to be represented in the roster and EVE was the golden opportunity for that.
  • Jack Skellington is such a popular character that I had to somehow add him into the mix. His unique aesthetic beautifully clashes with the rest of the roster, and that's something I always like in crossovers like these. Jack would boast a unique gimmick that boosts the power of attacks that are landed from behind the opponent, referencing his mastery of scare techniques.
  • Kuzco is such a legendary character in Disney lineup that I had to include him. He would be a sorta quadrupedal fighter, though not as extensively as Simba, since Kuzco is still pretty much humanoid. But moveset potential is not the real reason why I added Kuzco: instead, I believe that the possible interactions he could have with other characters or even players (breaking the 4th wall) would instantly make him a top tier choice.
  • No one fights like Gaston! Despite being a pretty burly fighter, I imagine Gaston to be a zoner of a sort, making great use of his rifle and bow. Despite this, he would still be able to deal some heavy damage at close quarters, just not as much as you would expect. In a way, it makes sense, as Gaston is a pretty vain character, so...
  • Mary Poppins would be a lightweight fighter with the unique ability to slow down her descent using her umbrella, à la Bugs Bunny or Batman in MultiVersus. In general, she would rely on the many items she could pull out of her never ending purse, as well as her umbrella to deal some decent damage at close quarters or mid range. In a way, Mary Poppins would join the Manticore, Maui, and Mulan as our sword fighters of sorts (although only the Manticore and Mulan would wield an actual sword).
  • Ursula is yet another well-deserving villain that joins the roster. I think that you could do a lot with her octopus body to make her stand out. Other than that, Ursula could make great use of her magic prowess for some weak, ranged attacks. In general, I'd imagine her to be a large, imposing heavyweight with slow movement speed.
  • Maybe a slightly biased pick, but Genie feels like a character that you don't want to miss out, especially considering how unique and out-there his attacks could be, considering that he is essentially an omnipotent being with extremely cartoony powers. Genie is also yet another character that I believe would be worth adding even due to his over-the-top personality.
  • Finally, our last pick is Dr. Facilier. Other than being an extremely iconic villain in his own right, I think that Facilier would be a prime example of a quirky character, since with his shadow he would be the de facto puppeteer fighter of the roster. Other than that, I think that Facilier could easily employ some voodoo tools to deal damage at close quarters and at mid range. He would definitely be one of, if not the hardest fighter to play as, but he would be a good pick for experienced players.

So, the roster is basically the same as the one I did a few months ago. Even the visuals are not updated. I think I should do more, both because it's Disney's 100th anniversary, and because you don't want to read the same post twice. So...
SEASON ONE DLC!

Roster_DLC.png
I only added one season of DLC fighters with six fighters, one for each archetype. Honestly, if the full roster ended up being 30 base game fighters + 6 DLCs, I'd be totally fine. But without any further ado, let's see who I added and why:
  • Goofy (archetype: Champion) -- He clearly was my most glaring omission from the base roster and admittedly I was this close to scrap him in favor of Dopey, but in the end I think that Mickey, Donald, and Goofy have to be together in the game. While a Goof Troop moveset could be fine, I think that Goofy should lean more heavily in his lanky, goofy (pun intended) antics, so a lot of moves based on his various sport shenanigans would be great to see. In general, Goofy would be an unorthodox fighter with unique attributes attached to his moves.
  • Kida (archetype: All-Around) -- While not the first character that would come to my mind when thinking about Disney characters, I think that Kida still deserves a spot, if anything because we need more deep-cut choices, and because early 2000s is a severely underrepresented era of Disney otherwise. Also, Kida would be yet another weapon wielder, but this time she would use a spear. In terms of moveset, Kida is a balanced fighter but, unlike Mickey and Cinderella, more on the defensive side.
  • Robin Hood (archetype: Ranged) -- I knew all along that Robin Hood would have been added to the game, should I have decided to include DLCs. He would play just as you would expect: a fast, crafty fighter with plenty of projectiles but also the ability to wield a sword for close quarters combat. Uniquely, Robin Hood would have at least one move that allows him to steal any item the target is using. Probably useless in competitive, but fun for casuals.
  • Ember Lumen (archetype: Speedster) -- Pixar representation is usually very hard for me to achieve, because they lean on sequels so much, but with Elementals being released I think I got a prime example of a new Pixar heroine to add. Truth to be told, I have yet to watch Elementals, because the whole movie doesn't seem that interesting to me, but... yeah, I think that Ember could be a very fast fighter with blazing attacks. And, to spice (hehe) things up, I believe that she should NOT have access to projectiles. But in return, make her I don't know, the fastest fighter in the game or something.
  • Dumbo (archetype: Tank) -- Finally back to movies I actually know, Dumbo would be a fairly unique character, being a heavyweight that fares much better in the air than on the ground, essentially being an air tank. Indeed, Dumbo would have multiple jumps and a plethora of good aerial attacks, but mediocre ground moves to compensate. He would also be like Jigglypuff, in the sense that he would have great aerial movement but poor ground mobility.
  • Professor Ratigan (archetype: Quirky) -- For my last choice, I wanted a deep-cut villain that could fit into the Quirky archetype and... Ratigan was the perfect choice! His moveset would revolve around setting up traps on the stage, making up for his subpar mobility and attack power in other areas. Also, I think it is quite fun that the first and last fighters in the game are both mice (well, Ratigan is a rat, but don't let him know...).

Well, that sure was something. But I think I'm not done yet. There are still a few other characters I would have wanted to represent in one way or another, so allow me to introduce... the Sidekicks! Basically, they are Assist Trophies but, as the name implies, I chose them (mostly) from sidekicks from Disney and Pixar movies. Oh, and some villains as well! Can't forget about those! I should point out that I got this idea from a video on YouTube made by Ediz and Ben and I copied a few of their ideas as well, but for me it's much harder to come up with Assist Trophies ideas than fighters. Don't ask me why.

Ok, so, one last time, let's see what I have in store here:
  • Pluto -- Follows the summoner and pounces if an opponent gets close.
  • Woody -- Hurls a barrage of Luxo balls at the opponents. Woody had to be included because, in a way, he is the sidekick character.
  • Esmeralda -- Dances where she was summoned, kicking opponents away. I wanted some Hunchback of Notre Dame representation and I personally find the Gargoyles to be the least enjoyable aspect of the movie, so...
  • The Alley Cats -- They start playing jazz, forcing any nearby character to taunt (dance). Honestly, this is how the Squid Sisters should have worked in Ultimate.
  • Pepa -- Summons a thundercloud that roams around the stage. Sometimes, it emits lightning, damaging opponents.
  • Big Bad Wolf -- Take a wild guess.
  • The Emotions -- They would somehow function like Shulk's Monado Arts but without drawbacks. A random Emotion takes the lead (represented by a colored aura around the summoner), granting some stat buffs based on the leading Emotion:
    • Joy: higher jumps
    • Anger: more damage dealt
    • Sadness: less knockback taken (the character would feel "burdened" in a way)
    • Disgust: more knockback dealt (the character would be repulsed by the opponent)
    • Fear: higher speed
  • Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather -- Grant the summoner a sword item and deflect incoming projectiles for a few seconds. Another group of characters that I felt had to be represented as sidekicks.
  • Chicken Little -- Forcefully swings a baseball bat a few times while standing in place.
  • Enchanted Brooms -- Pour water on stage, pushing opponents away.
  • Maximus -- Tracks down opponents and forcefully kicks them. Overall, one of the more powerful Sidekicks. Also, I'm pretty disappointed in myself as Maximus is the only Tangled representation in the game, but on the bright side this means that I am not that biased!
  • Tow Mater -- Drives around the stage, hooking on opponents and driving them away.
  • Merlin -- Calls items from off stage and stores them in a bag. The flying items deal damage and once Merlin is done storing items the bag can be thrown around. Merlin was yet another I was extremely close to add, but in the end I feel that he works good as a Sidekick while Robin Hood (the one character I would have dropped in favor of Merlin) is better as a fighter.
  • Timon & Pumbaa -- While standing still, Pumbaa blows an extremely powerful and apparently stinky raspberry. Timon is just for showing.
  • Sabor -- The background is covered in bush with Sabor hiding inside it. At random, Sabor might jump out of the bush, dealing extremely high damage. Overall, one of the most deadly Sidekicks, along with Maximus and another one. Definitely the most thrilling one.
  • Queen of Hearts -- Summons a plethora of Card Soldier that dash forward, flailing their weapons.
  • Frozone -- Freezes opponents in place. As a nice easter egg, Frozone is completely ineffective against Elsa.
  • Kevin -- Runs around the stage and can be used as an extra platform. She also rams on opponents, dealing some damage and knockback, though nothing special.
  • Baymax -- Creates a force field that heals any character inside it. The summoner and any allies will be healed more.
  • Linguini -- Cooks and tosses on the stage some food that can be used to heal.
  • Dancing Skeletons -- Dance around the stage, dealing damage and knockback. Compared Esmeralda, the Dancing Skeleton move more wildly but deal less damage. Also I had to add them somehow, being the protagonists of the very first Silly Symphony.
  • Crush -- Zips all over the stage at very high speed, dealing damage and knockback. His trajectory is highlighted by a sort of "water tube" that appears.
  • The Headless Horseman -- Chases an opponent, ramming on them and swinging his sword to damage nearby foes. Before disappearing, he launches his pumpkin head, that homes on the chased opponent. The third Sidekick I would consider to be among the strongest ones, along with Maximus and Sabor.
  • Grandmother Willow -- Whips opponents with her vines. Again, Pocahontas was a movie I wanted to represent somehow and I think that Grandmother Willow is the perfect kind of representation for it.
  • Gadget Hackwrench -- So, I want to preface this by saying that anybody who is even a mild acquaintance of mine knows that I love Chip and Dale, especially Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers. This is why I HAD to include a character from that show. It also helps that Gadget makes a lot of sense, being able to fly with the Ranger Plane and hitting opponent with a plunger ballista. Ch-Ch-Ch-Chip 'n Dale!
  • Horned King -- Summons the Black Cauldron and inhales all characters (including the summoner). After a while, he spits them away dealing damage.

Well, this was quite the journey. I hope I have atoned for my low-effort sin of repurposing a previous roster (and one that was not that inventive to being with) by adding a few more stuff and context to it. Who knows, maybe in the future I'll add a stage list, but don't quote me on that.

Let me preface this by saying I'm sad that the Kingdom of Combat thread is now deceased. I had some good ideas for Animation Cels.

For all intents and purposes, Smash can have Sora and the other Kingdom Hearts characters. With Asha's pedigree as "the protagonist of Disney's 100th anniversary film", I think it's fair to have her be right next to Mickey Mouse.

Judy Hopps going solo is a great plan, but I think swapping the roster slots for Monsters Inc. and BATB is a real hoot. I'm one to have the protagonists/mascots get in first, but Gaston is one of the top-tier Disney Villains in the promotional sense.

I'm glad we still have some Winnie the Pooh representation in the base game, being Tigger in place of Pooh. Also, what other fighting game has you play as a manticore? That, and Mary Poppins has loads more legacy than Jack Sparrow, being grandfathered into the ride and all.

Mickey's Kangaroo as an uppercut? That's something I didn't think of.

I also wanted to put Woody as the Toy Story rep, but Lightyear wasn't Buzz's first solo outing, so of course the space ranger outshines the sheriff all over again.

It also helps Cinderella's case that you can do more with her moveset pool than with Snow White. For better or worse, Ralph Breaks the Internet has her weaponize her glass slippers.

I would have called her Elastigirl, but "Mrs. Incredible" deserves the slot just as much.

Pairing Judy Hopps with Maui is inspired, since that's the order of release their movies were in theaters. But that's just me.

If Agent P is the only TVA rep in the game, then he's a dang good one.

Ethan Clade is the first surprise pick that I can see. I wouldn't have thought Strange World would get a fighter.

Let's be real here. I also wanted Baloo to be in this game, and it's not like 60s Disney had many other options.

With the starting roster being the way it is, there's no inherently bad pick. Even the Clade family has their fans.

I don't know whether to be proud about the tidbit of some Donald attacks inflicting self-damage, because I did incorporate that alongside his gimmick.

I'm glad that Touchstone Pictures has some representation, and it's going to be Jack or someone else from The Nightmare Before Christmas, since Roger Rabbit is still expensive.

Kuzco interacting with THESE characters? Oh, it's on!

The final four base game characters are Mary Poppins, Ursula, Genie, and Dr. Facilier. If you ask me, this roster ends on a high note.

As for Season 1 of the DLC, it makes me want to see further seasons. Goofy, Robin Hood, and Kida deserve to be here ASAP. Ember is a good promotional pick. Professor Ratigan comes off as more memorable than Basil. You know the drill.

But making Dumbo a Tank fighter? That made me chuckle.

As for the sidekicks, they're good. With an asterisk. Honestly, I would have wanted to see a few more of them added. Maybe each season can have three of them added to sweeten the pot.

Off the top of my head, there's another Encanto sidekick, Meeko, Valentino or Star, Winnie the Pooh, Olaf, Fix-it Felix Jr., Sebastian, Iago, Louis the Alligator, WALL-E, Dash, Splat, Mushu, Amos Slade, and I did bring up a separate section for Lilo and Stitch Assists in the old project thread.

While we're at it, future seasons can have Rapunzel, Pete, Luca, Lightning McQueen, Tarzan, and any number of characters not already in those boxes. Personally, I'd have Kermit be the last character of Season 3, just to entice the fandom a little.

But for what it is, I'd still play this game.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1I1SnKstxoe9e4OoMEl2WcNCbGM51EAWKopVo0mWbLzI/edit Alright, here you are, folks, a 5330 (probably gonna still go up further later) character roster. Initial goal was 5000, worked on it on and off over two years, but here it is. Warning for potential character inclusions that might be inappropriate and some swearing-related character names. I was way too thorough on some things, for better or worse. You could use an RNG, pair two characters together, and go nuts with your imagination. It isn't limited to gaming, either! (I'll say!)

I thought I had those, but I do have a list of characters to still add and I might get up to 6000 even later, maybe 10,000 at some point. Basically ultimate fighting game roster of everything, almost

Happy New Year! To celebrate, I thought I'd put my hat into the ring of imagining Smash Bros. never happened until 2024.

With that said, there are some ground rules.
  1. Only one third-party character will be in the entire game, and he/she must have direct ties to Nintendo.
  2. Franchises like Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, and F-Zero would have little to no representation.
  3. Recency bias will be taken into account, as the game would have likely started development around 2019 or 2020.
  4. An even number of characters will be in this first game, primarily to have a 2 v. 2 mode.
  5. Likewise, stages would have one franchise cross over into another one. Both this and the above take from the best of Smash's contemporaries, since they'd likely not exist yet.
Here's my roster size for such a game.
  1. Mario (Super Mario)
  2. Peach (Super Mario)
  3. Bowser (Super Mario)
  4. Luigi (Luigi's Mansion)
  5. Donkey Kong (Donkey Kong Country)
  6. Link (The Legend of Zelda)
  7. Ganondorf (The Legend of Zelda)
  8. Charizard (Pokemon)
  9. Kirby (Kirby)
  10. Bandanna Dee (Kirby)
  11. Chrom (Fire Emblem)
  12. Mio (Xenoblade Chronicles)
  13. Inkling (Splatoon)
  14. Marina (Splatoon)
  15. Spring Man (ARMS)
  16. Samus (Metroid)
  17. Isabelle (Animal Crossing)
  18. Olimar (Pikmin)
  19. Little Mac (Punch-Out!)
  20. Duck Hunt Dog (Duck Hunt)
  21. Dragaux (Ring Fit Adventure)
  22. Officer Howard (Astral Chain)
  23. Sami (Advance Wars)
  24. Pac-Man (Pac-Man)
  25. RANDOM
I should probably explain some of my reasons.
  • Chrom is our only Fire Emblem rep to placate the Japanese audience. Even without Smash, I'd imagine FE: Awakening went out with such a bang that the franchise should be honored in its passing.
  • I'm adding a Xenoblade character because it wasn't Smash that gave it a jumpstart in America. If you recall, it was Operation: Rainfall that did the trick.
  • Luigi would make the Poltergust a major part of his moveset by now, incorporating its abilities for grabs, recovery, and even one of his specials.
  • Yes, only two users of the Triforce would make it in: Link and Ganondorf. This is because Zelda has rarely, if ever, been playable in a game that's named after her, thus forcing Sakurai and the dev team to get creative or cut her from the roster.
  • Charizard is our only Pokemon representitive, and Bandanna Dee gets in over Meta Knight and Dedede. The former is because of The Pokemon Company being such a corporate giant that they would want one of their many creatures in Smash. Unfortunately, it's just as likely that Pikachu would be snubbed.
  • The latter instance of Bandanna Dee being the second Kirby rep is due to his steady increase in appearances. His role in Kirby and the Forgotten Land would certainly help his case by now.
  • Little Mac and the Duck Hunt Dog would count as our "retro" picks, although Little Mac has had his 2009 comeback on the Wii.
  • Marina would be the second Splatoon rep because the idols have become just as popular as the game itself, so we'd need a playable idol to drum up hype.
  • Isabelle over Villager and Dragaux over the Ring Fit Trainee would be due to preferring not to create playable avatar characters.
  • Sami is in the game to add more female representation and to promote the Advance Wars reboot.
  • Pac-Man is our lone third-party rep for many reasons: One, he's PAC-MAN. Two, he was actually in the Mario Kart arcade games. Three, it would be even easier to get him in if they outsource the creation of Smash to Bandai Namco like they've started to do IOTL.

And because I can't leave things well enough alone, here's a DLC season.

SEASON ONE
  1. Wario (WarioWare)
  2. Pit (Kid Icarus)
  3. Ridley (Metroid)
  4. Pikachu (Pokemon)
  5. Sonic (Sonic the Hedgehog)
For my money, these five just missed the boat in the development cycle. I know I said "one third-party character only", but you put Sonic against Mario and you get a million dollars up front.

Pretty sure I've done this before but

Sonic the Hedgehog: Chaos Battles

Gameplay:
A traditional fighter, somewhat like DBFZ. Choose a team of three and fight it out. The Chaos Emeralds can be collected like the Dragon Balls, and can be used to transform certain characters into their super form .
Plot:
A new type of gem appears that can grant wishes, and Eggman tries to capture it in order to take over the world. Sonic and friends try to stop him, while others attempt capture it for their own reasons (Shadow wants to see Maria again, Silver and Blaze want to save their time period, the Chatotix simply want payment, etc)

Felt bored, so I made up a PSAS-based Nick vs. CN roster circa 2011.

1: Double D vs. SpongeBob
2: Dexter vs. Angelica Pickles
3: Ben 10 vs. Aang
4: Blossom vs. Jimmy Neutron
5: Numbuh One vs. Timmy Turner
6: Samurai Jack vs. Jenny Wakeman
7: The Red Guy vs. Otis
8: The Grim Reaper vs. Danny Phantom
9: Finn & Jake vs. Fanboy & Chum Chum
10: Captain Planet vs. Michaelangelo (TMNT)

-Cartoon Network dug through Nick's garbage to get EEnE and Adventure Time on their timeslots. The latter would be more recent and prone to gaining attention.
-A small part of Dexter would prefer DeeDee if he met Angelica. A small part of him.
-Ben 10 and A:TLA are the respective action franchises for their networks. It helps that The Last Airbender won the KCA blimp for Favorite Cartoon once.
-I put Jimmy Neutron up against Blossom because he'd be inspired by Professor Utonium's lab accident to fuel his inventions.
-Ever wanted to see Sector V tech vs. the magic of Fairy World?
-Next to Ben 10 and Aang, Jack and Jenny are the premier action stars for each side.
-Who wouldn't want to see The Red Guy go up against a different cow?
-By Grim's records, Danny should have been on his door "thanks" to his parents.
-Captain Planet vs. the Ninja Turtles just writes itself. From an in-universe standpoint, he fights against mutations. From a business standpoint, Viacom owns the Ninja Turtles and Turner created Captain Planet himself.

I capped it at 10 rivalries and 20 characters because it would be futile to add more without slashing the budget.

An alternate take on my earlier DC VS SNK roster that is less oriented around paralleling Marvel VS CAPCOM.

Pop Culture Brawlers Remix

Fine,i know that it will be weird i write the same idea again, but this time,i will make Pop Culture Brawlers 1 but in Smash Remix version

Roster
View attachment 381381

-The original characters from the roster, the literally the same from Pop Culture Brawlers 1,who are the original 10 who are original 8-like (Superman, Mickey, Mario, Goku, Sherlock Holmes, Hello Kitty, Optimus Prime, The Doctor, James Bond and Santa Claus) and the unlockable 4 (Spider-Man, Bugs Bunny, Darth Vader and Sailor Moon)
-The roster bring back the newcomers from the later Pop Culture Brawlers games as veterans
-The roster have new characters who aren't on all 5 Pop Culture Brawlers games who are: Winnie The Pooh, Xena The Princess Warrior and Neo from Matrix
-The game is hypotherically made in 1999,Sauron, Neo and Hatsune Miku breaks a rule of "only characters debuted before 2000 are allowed" (Sauron's case is his real debut was 1937 and can have his design from LoTR movies,Sonic's debut is 1991 but his design is based on Sonic Adventure 2,and Hatsune Miku is on the roster because she is hypotherial a fan favorite character, even her debut is 2007)
-The roster have hypotherical scrapped characters on Pop Culture Brawlers 1 who are Godzilla, Homer Simpson, Dracula and Pac-Man who eventually they appears on later games, and Ronald McDonald is considered a playable character
-And the character designs as Sherlock Holmes,The Doctor and James Bond...well,i tried to find the other designs for them, but i can't,Sherlock Holmes could be have Basil Rathbone design,James Bond could be have Sean Connery design and The Doctor could be Tom Baker design
I wanted to recreate the Pop Culture Brawlers Remix roster, but putting a new character because Smash Remix had a new and lastest update

And it's here:the complete roster of Pop Culture Brawlers Remix

and i know that anyone will say: "where's character variants and stages?",well, the character variants are complitated to choose, and the stages i really wanted and i have some original stages ideas, but it could be so difficult to put various of the stages

I'd add a 4th Video Game rep and because of his impact being the mascot of the highest grossing media franchise in the world, being one of gamings biggest names alongside stuff like Mario, Sonic, and Pac-Man, and other factors I'd pick Pikachu from Pokemon yes over stuff like Crash Bandicoot, Cloud, or even Link

Look, this roster is from an alternate universe who i had an idea who is Super Smash Bros. with pop culture characters instead Nintendo characters, and this roster is a alternate universe version of from the Smash 64 mod called Smash Remix,i wanted to put more characters for the roster but since Smash Remix had a final update,it means that i really don't add more characters
