there's some interesting theories going around about racial preferences. i'm of the view it might boil down to open-exposure at a impressionable age -- guys seem to be attracted to what they're used to, or their learnings of what society's concept of the ideal man is through media, etc. but ultimately that's too broad of a statement and people can just randomly like what they like, so w/e

I know your just relaying the message, but this doesn't really fit at all with what I know about science/evolution.

I'm no expert, but intentionally wanting to "keep a small gene pool" is pretty much he exact opposite of what nature usually tries to accomplish. which leads me to be skeptical regarding the conclusion as to why people are attracted to their own race. I'd bank on it being much more of a nuture thing than a nature/genetic predisposition thing.

Thats odd, because from my experience, people always seem to be attracted to people that look nothing like them. people like that exotic feeling which i always felt like was why most people I hang out with have yellow fever. and how every asian girl thats not with a dude from (not asia as a whole but specifically) the same country as them is with a white dude. I would think due to the 'wanting something new and different' and the 'want what you cant have' ideals would predispose people to NOT want people who are the same as them.

that being said, as a black guy, I find that black girls are the least attractive race to me, generally speaking. but black guys have had this discussion over and over to where weve come to a conclusion that I think is fairly accurate about that particular matter...

like this. I would think that if youve seen one pale asian girl ever, and she was a perfect dime, then that whole section would be at the top of your list due to 1. how they all must look based on your sample data, and 2. the complete rarity of that type in your vicinity.

Perhaps I could have phrased that better. We want to keep our own genes in the gene pool and we see the best way of doing that is by having children with those that have similar characteristics and therefore similar genes as us. This means being attracted to those of the same race and disturbingly enough: those that look like our parents. Empyrically speaking: I've been working at a functions centre for over two years now , I'd say at least 95% of the weddings I've worked at were people marrying people of the same race. Once again though, it obviously doesn't mean you won't be attracted to people other other races.

um, judging people based on their skin color is racist. it's normally considered shallow to say you dont like fat people. however i think i would not want to be in a relationship with an overweight girl because i am really into fitness and exercise and being overweight means our lifestyles probably arent compatible. in that sense a fat girl who lost a bunch of weight would automatically be more attractive to me. having a different skin color means NOTHING in that regard. it cannot be changed and says nothing about thier lifestyle or personality. saying someones skin color is unattractive is racist by definition and actually pretty disgusting.

No. Hating all people of a certain race irrespective of different individuals, and seeing yourself as superior to all said people purely on grounds of racial difference is racism.

Not being sexually attracted them doesn't mean you dislike them as people.

2. Sexual preference/physical attraction is not racism. Am I dwarfist because I don't like ****** porn? Am I a Nazi if I prefer blue eyes over brown? Am I being shallow if I like girls with giant feet more than girls with tiny feet?
