against falcon with sheik? that's kinda weird. come to biweeklies more for practice? or you could try other characters. although that's more or less falcon's worst matchup anyway. fox and falco are around as bad too depending on who you ask. i'm undecided personally.

I probably can't. My realistic options are:

1) find work elsewhere, quit job, work at other place
2) find work elsewhere, quit job, work at other place
3) ...missiles

And the last option requires me to contact the almighty Sakurai, so this situation is delicate.

The issue I have is that the work environment is easy and the people are nice and they were vaguely understanding (they told me any other weekend off in August no questions) and the hours, while gay, are manageable for the school year, so I could easily hold this when York rolls around and I don't have that guarantee elsewhere.

If I market myself too openly and omit details like the trip, the fact that I need my days bunched together so I can have a free week for classes, and other stuff, I wind up back in the same mess.

I'm not sure APEX is worth such a convenient job.

Keep the job. It's one of those times where you have to pick between your life and this game you play on the side in your free time.

As one of your good friends, I implore you. This is a great opportunity and I don't want you to regret this later on. Judging from your last post, its clear that you've thought this through and weighed the options. I'm confident you'll make the better decision.

Though I have to say, it would be really awesome for you to come to Apex.

the evo stream is fucking amazing. this shit is SO HYPE, it's making me wanna play SSFIV so badly lol.

if only Melee was at Evo, it would be SO perfect. with mvc3 next year, it's sounding like TvC and MvC2 will be dropped. do we have a chance? they hate the brawl community after the "items on" incident of '08, but doesn't the melee community have any credibility? I heard the 07 tourney was a great success, and only trailed marvel in attendance.

someone (Scar? he good at arguing for melee oololol) should write them a letter and explain how alive Melee is, referencing Genesis and Pound and ****, and how mature the community is. Let's face it, Brawl is a brand new game, so of course there's going to be lots of kids. Melee, not so much.
