Never see The Last Airbender, it competes for top spot on the "worst movie ever made list". Effects, Acting, Expression/Emotion, Script, Storyline... ALL of it was bad. It was so awful you couldn't even laugh, you just sat mortified.

Aasif Mandvi is the worst person you can ever cast as a villain. Casting brown people altogether in those roles is bad because you can never take them seriously, but especially him.

cosmo vs. macd is up.

it's mostly macd trying to get through kick spam. punctuated by moments of coolness.

sliq for best commentary though.

Cosmo spaces really good throughout the entire set.

MacD, not so much. It was definitely an entertaining set to watch though.

last stock last match had me antsy as a mother****er! i was rooting for zelda :)

on another note... my avatar is the best thing in the universe!! it's like a beast-*** pokemon, combined with a champion-form digimon, combined with one of those monster rancher creatures, combined with a yugioh monster! it's really just a new pokemon

WHAT DO YOU DO!?!

MacD needs to use turnips vs Zelda.

Turnip camping might be a joke versus top tiers and good characters, but it (like every other defensive strategy) is really effective against awful characters.

edit:

For those who don't know Zelda vs Peach:

Peach can only do turnip stuff and stuff setup from turnip because everything else can be ***** immensely really easily (as a result of DI and how priority works in the air or on the ground).

Why Fair is horrible:

Zelda's Fair and Bair both beat Peach's Fair (big lightning ball has lots of priority) and kill her at stupid low percent. They're also faster than Peach's flying crown slap, so they can wait for you to start it and do it responsively, or simply retreat (Peach is slow and can't catch you if you retreat) if you don't do it.

Why Bair and Nair are horrible:

No range, lose to Zelda's kicks, about the same startup. No lag means nothing when the moves just lose and get you nowhere.

Why D-smash is horrible:

Zelda's so floaty that if you hit a D-smash on her at low percent, she can actually kick you in the cooldown. So beautiful pressure strings like Nair D-smash and whatever that Peach normally uses can actually be a liability here, especially when Zelda's at low percent. Zelda doesn't crouch cancel in the matchup avidly so you're unlikely to get a 60% D-smash on her. You're also asking for trouble when you spam a move with lag vs a character with 20% damage, KOing, ranged, disjointed kicks.

Why Dash Attack is horrible:

Zelda shields a lot because she likes to kick out of shield. Her throws potentially outright KO (at like 150%) and trading with an arbitrary kick is horrible. You also can never combo her from dash attack.

Why turnip is good:

Because her kick is out for like 5 frames or so, in a spot that's not very helpful for defending against angled projectiles (aim for her head), and the turnip combos into Nair and other useful things sometimes. Nayru's Love is laggy and awful so if they actually rely on it to reflect the thing, you just punish it in the same manner you would vs the Shine. You can also safely pressure her with it (on her shield with catches and stuff sometimes). The safety is important since unsafe pressure (and even some safe forms of pressure) will result in you being kicked, which sucks.

so wat are your thots on the match up david?
I outlined them up there.

Throw turnips. If they powershield or do Nayru's Love, avoid the reflected Turnip and punish if possible, or throw more. Be below them if you can, because being above them means you have to come down and can be kicked, and being level with them means you can be kicked.

Combo turnip --> aerial whenever possible. If you can turnip --> weak Nair --> strong Nair, fabulous. But that won't come up often.

Or do you mean a ratio?

Because ratios are silly. Peach probably wins though.

Probably 6 : 4 Peach favour?

Something close to that. I dunno. Might be 55/45. No worse then 6 : 4 though. Peach is too slow to avoid kicks the entire game and she even eventually becomes vulnerable to other bullshit if she stays on the ground.

If Zelda had a spammable camping projectile she'd probably soft counter Peach and **** Ice Climbers.

hey does anyone hold anything during the week?

the reason I ask this is because it looks like I'm going to be working from 12-4 every saturday and sunday for the entire summer, which is fucking primetime for every tournament in the history of ever. its going to be tough taking any days off at all, considering I just took off four days for exams and prom cottage =/

so please holla if anything is happening during the week at any time, cause I'm dying to play this game (and project M :) )
