The last one I heard about was all kinds of broken. I just taught myself some basic mastery sets that I can do in about 10-15 seconds without really thinking about it. It's a bummer Riot hasn't developed a better tool for this yet, but that's life.

Ok... so does anyone else here play Swain seriously? I just picked him up and I'm trying to figure out the best builds for him. The basic one I've been running is:

Sorc Boots, Rod of Ages, Rylais, DFG for my "core" items. I start by building the Kage's Pick so I get the extra gold and then rush RoA for the extra life. Rylais is nice because it gives you this massive AoE slow when your ult is turned on, but I'm wondering if maybe stacking RoA is a better choice, since I'll get more life and mana plus the AP. Someone did suggest to me that I build him as a support tank... Locket, Visage, Frozen Heart, etc... but without any AP Swain seriously cannot farm at all, basically relying on assists for kills. So I'm thinking that's not the best way to go.

Besides "don't play Swain, he sucks," any thoughts?

Is there anything worse than losing a match when you have 20 stacks mejai's, and endgame build, 400 cs, an extra 3000 gold, a malphite that knows what he's doing and

looks like DFG is an inefficient item as well. I'm going toy around with builds this week and see what works. AP, tank, spellvamp... shoot, maybe a hybrid would work as just an anticarry of sorts.

shoot for it. i wanted laptop because i go to a friends very often to play but honestly it wouldn't matter. :o you have any suggestions?

I already have like 10 monitors. I was actually looking through New Egg but couldn't find something decent with a lowish price.

in other news, playing teemo is fun. i just bought xin, is he more efficient in the jungle or laning?

You should probably jungle with him, unless for whatever reason the other team has a weak solo lane, in which case you could throw him up there. Besides that, just jungle with him.

Goodness I can't wait for this next patch. I'm a little bummed about Omen nerf, but Locket/Visage nerf is well deserved. I will be glad to see that combo weakened significantly. I'm intrigued by the supposed Urgot buff, but I only dabble with him so I'm more hoping that they will also give Swain a little bit of love too. The guy really needs it.

i just can't wait til free karthus week is over.

btw.. i think twisted fate is a hilarious counter to tryndamere. everytime trynd burned his ult, i would port to him and finish him off lmao

i'd suggest building your own if you want to save money

CDR, Mana regen or MR, depending on your goals and your usual item builds.

Twisted Fate shennagins are too fun. Last night I got 13 kills by porting to those low on health.

I've been playing Swain for the last month or two.

I normally go in a side lane, get RoA -> chalice -> glacial shroud -> spirit visage or abyssal scepter -> then the other one. It works as long as they never ignite you... :embarrass:
if I get mid lane I get mejais. It would probably work in side lanes too now that I think of it

I get one point in each ability first (E, W, then Q), then max W asap cause you need the cooldown on it, then max Q for the slow, then E last cause it's just damage and no utility.

If there were an item that converted 2% of health to AP like Atma's does I'd say it might be worth building Warmogs Swain. His ulti mows down minions, right?

Kind of. It doesn't do THAT much damage to minions (it's mostly just to finish them off from your W)
my minion score is usually not that great with swain

Rach (Wobbles just found out he was Wobbles yesterday!) is very good with Urgot, and in arrange ranked 5s play too. Wonder how much better he'll be with the buff :o.

Scamp, I think Xin is a good jungler. His ability to jungle without golem makes him a decent choice.
