My nasus build early is always like rushed frozen heart (the item before it for the good CDR, finish FH later [that 400 mana is amazing]) and the health + 300 gold into 10% CDR item. About 2.2k~ gold for coming out with close to 30% CDR.

Getting a Philo stone early is good too, but I just haven't had any games with Nasus recently where I'm able to afford anything but cloth armor and pots.
Philo stone + CDR is like, guaranteed never ending q farming. If you don't get the philo stone you'll be bing reasonably regularly, but you aren't hurting your farm much by doing so.

Unless you're getting random shutdowns while your laptop is charging, I don't think that's a problem with the battery.

I am, 100% battery keeping charger in laptop all the time when i'm on... In that case.
I guess the stuff i'm being shown about the battery being very low once it turns back on is not the problem.

My solo queue success story.

I read this a while ago and tried to break my 7 loss streak in ranked while keeping this story in mind.

Went top as GP against afk farm nasus. our lane was pretty much that for the whole laning phase. Even cs, no kills, etc.

Bot ashe gets caught in jungle first blood, feeds their cait like 4 kills, has 6 cs at 10 minutes, whole team except me raging at each other, essentially what precedes a 20 minute surrender. Mid Annie isn't doing so well, but not feeding like ashe.

Anyways, I kept the mentality that this game could turn around and teleported into a dragon fight while nasus was top. 4 kills and the game instantly turns around. 20 minutes later, im at full build gp at 9-0-12 and enemy team surrenders after losing team fight after team fight.

So yeah, my ashe wasnt as bad as your vlad, but having the mentality that a game isn't over until the results screen can vastly improve anyones game.

Try playing with the battery out and your laptop connected directly to the charger. If it still shuts down, maybe it's an overheating problem.

1. WW used smite to give Annie blue quicker 25+ mins into the game
2. WW ulted away from smite range with baron at 1200 HP

Ok so....

I played Xerath for the first time. Mother of hell that range is ridiculous. Like, laning was a complete breeze, and team fights are incredibly easy mode. His Q has the same type of delay as Piltover so it's pretty easy mode to land for me, and that range is just stupid. Maybe I'm missing something here - how isn't this guy being played constantly?



Also, on the whole "whining" subject: where is the empathy? We all know that solo queue sucks sometimes, and sometimes it helps to complain about the things that bother us. Where else can players blow off their steam than here? Yes, this can be a place for in-depth strategy analysis and detailed conversations about whether something's overpowered or not and why, but it can also be a place to talk about how frustrating the game gets sometimes. Just let people talk, alright?

Also Riot Customer Service is the bomb. I wanted to refund the IP/RP I'd bought my individual rune pages for and then buy the Rune Page bundle but the customer service rep just gave me the RP back and threw in the Rune Page I was missing as well o_O

Basically I got 5 free Rune Pages... crazy.

Yeah I definitely agree. People oftentimes want to give up rather than actually play their best and try to bring a losing game back. Gj in your gp game!

i saw a team in ranked with a twitch and a last pick shaco who decided to jungle even though they already had a jungle warwick. he tried to steal our red and we killed him for first blood. the warwick was whining in all chat about how he was tempted to intentionally feed for the first time in >1,000 games. most people would have trolled him and caused their team to argue more and ensure our victory. instead i told the warwick that he was not on my team and therefore he should trust the matchmaking system to deliver him victory.

our bot lane fed 6 kills in 10 minutes. we surrendered at 25 with less than half their kills.

this actually happened yesterday.

never give up! you can always win in even the most dire of circumstances.

i felt this story was relevant to the topic at hand.

You guys must not have heard me. WHY AREN'T MORE PEOPLE PLAYING XERATH?? I've played two games with him so far, and it seems like (barring a good Kassadin on the other team) he's just pure, unadulterated ****. Good in lane, great in team fights, and god forbid he gets teamed up with a healer (his tower poke game is nuts).

I'm skeptical about the common DFG on him though. I know he needs cdr, but why not get the boots? Honestly, what other boots are a good choice on him? He gets built in % based m pen, are Sorcs really necessary? I'm thinking it's better just do do a Doran's Stack + CDR Boots into Deathcap. But still haven't figured him out totally, of course.

He's seen more at higher ELO, and teams are practicing him for competitive play as well (been seeing him picked up in scrims).

xerath doesn't look very impressive. i think i already posted about how i don't really like his animations. but his burst is really good and i think that he will be a top pick once people catch on to how good he is

Most don't build dfg, they follow the build you suggested except with mpen boots, though cdr boots should work fine too.

Since we're sharing stories:

Regular solo-queue. I pick Jungle Noc. Someone picks Heimer. Next is Amumu. Next is Akali.

Then the last guy picks Eve and says, "I'm going mid." and im like holy **** no ur not. But apparently he was playing with a friend of his who agreed (the Heimer). So I'm like ughhhhh this is gonna be so bad. Game starts and we notice they have jungle Amumu. I ping and tell everyone to gather at lake to steal golem and get first blood after I noticed 2 at Top.

Heimer stays. Nasus and Akali stay. Only Eve joins up with me. Then I'm like ****. 3v2 for like 20 seconds with bot not going anywhere. Lee Sin gets first blood, Akali finally joins, then dies, and I'm dead. And Amumu gets blue.

FINALLY, I reach LVL 4 and Eve decides to start roaming at LVL 5 completely abandoning mid. I yell 'wtf y u no mid' then attempt to cover mid jungle only to see Eve get killed at bot trying to gank. Then I try to B as bot gets destroyed and I have to B thinking Eve will retake mid. NOPE. Steals my jungle. Then blames me for mid getting destroyed because I was a "non-ganking Nocturne" although I announced I was gonna power level to 6.

Super troll match. I wasn't even mad. Just astonished.

-A stun on a 4.8 cd at max level with max CDR (which he's going to have)
-Free armor for building ap

He just seems all around very solid to me. I do wish Locus didn't have such a lengthy cast animation, but that's the only complaint I've had so far.
