I only play troll builds in dominion (except teemo). Just won 10 in a row :D Nobody knows how to respond if your strategy doesn't fit the norm. My favourite thing about Dominion is that there is no meta yet. Everything is viable! I play:

Movespeed Blitz
Nuke Sona
Tank Janna
Stealth seeker Kayle
Teemo



I only ever get MVP with sona, but I'm pretty sure I'm pulling my weight with all the champions I play. The points system cannot measure team disruption/making people chase you, yet it has a huge impact on the outcomes of matches.

For now, at least, pushing minions is far from the only viable strategy.

I'm wondering what you think these select few champions are, because I think most of the cast is viable in Dominion. I don't find many champions to be as OP as people think. Certainly some are better than others, but I don't think anyone is a must have. (With the exception of a real select few which I banned...)

Anyone know what beats Talon in lane?

Was just forced to play Talon after a swap in ranked gone bad. I buttraped an Akali. Rake if she gets too close... I have more burst... more CC... more sustained damage... super low cooldown ult that gives insane mobility and AoE damage...

And he scales really well into late game?

I'm starting to realize what a ****ing beast this guy is. Like oh my god they didn't hotfix this **** why?

Maybe teemo beats him? That's all I can think of atm. Perhaps Renekton/Garen? The latter 2 push the lane to harass tho. o.o

Yeah, Talon's amazing.

The ranked streak picture I have above, that was the first time I played Talon. Only picked him because I thought someone on my team was going to afk troll.

And eh, like most assassins, I think they taper off late game (its all melee, he can't itemize cdr enough, etc). His mid game is absolutely atrociously disgusting though.

well he's an assassin, so presumably you wait until the enemy team uses most of their cc, then go assassinate one of their squishies.

i haven't really played him much so i can't offer any super special insight lol

on a different note, I felt like trying to guess what this year's halloween skins were going to be. I could only come up with Catwoman Evelynn and Superman Garen..

Talon's biggest problem early game are people who can take his rake and not care. All his other abilities require you to be right next to your opponent or you end up there afterwards.

So people like Garen, Cho'Gath, and the like. Maybe Rumble, Lee Sin, Udyr, Warwick. Especially if they get armor.

Also kiting him out of Rake range till level 2-4 works well too. And even then his killing power isn't enough to get you with one jump. If you position yourself in a way that if he jumps he get's punished you'll pretty much shut his early game down. IMO, Talon isn't a threat till lvl 6.

It was until recently I've Realized.... That LoL is fun when you lose.
Cause that's basically all I do, Lose. Can never get A team together anyways and just Solo Blind pick, it's fun losing.

its still pretty dumb that a rank 5 rake (or ult) can just clear a minon wave just in one skill when done correctly with 1 or 2 doran blades. (that and AP carrys get wrecked by him cause o his silence)

been a while since I wanted to try Soraka.
today I stumbled upon a stream of a guy running boots of mobility/HoG/shurelya/guinsoo/deathfire grasp with her. I don't recall the precise order but that left me pondering.
is that actually a good build, especially with guinsoo? I only played a couple matches with Soraka but I usually went for philo stone/ CDR boots/fiendish codex and from then on building AP (rabadon, upgrading to morello, maybe lich bane) and did decently with it. anyone with more experience with her caring to share opinions? =o

Soraka AP ratios are mediocre at best, I don't understand why people go rabadon on her it's such a waste. She's way better off going max cd (dfg is surprisingly very good on her) and than build tanky (rylai's and such for it's utility or build tanky according to their team comp). Rylai's + her q in team fights is ridiculous. BTW I'm assuming you're not playing support soraka.

Also to address the talon issue, I find ryze to be a very effective counter.

talon is strong, most teams know this, and talon will be picked or banned every game at iem ny, and ipl. his level 3 is really strong, any melee champ with ranged harass that can clear creeps is generally strong. shaya saying he falls off late game is lol..

how effective can he be against a team with oracles / supported range carries / ap nukers who don't need to be in range to deal more than a quarter of his total output?

He suffers the same fate as Pantheon except his mid game burst is a lot stronger.

I don't understand how people can play AP Soraka without Rylai's.
