talon is strong, most teams know this, and talon will be picked or banned every game at iem ny, and ipl. his level 3 is really strong, any melee champ with ranged harass that can clear creeps is generally strong. shaya saying he falls off late game is lol..
I agree with shaya that his late game isnt that great but he feels akali status to some extent with his snowballing and mid game capabilities. (pink ward/Oracles nerfs him in team battles)

How so? He's not that reliant on his stealth. If he decides to use it to disengage, you can see him but what are you gonna do? Chase a speed boosted Talon that can still juke with his silence while the rest of his team beats on your team?

I really came here to ask for a jungle Cho build. I picked him on a whim and did pretty well but I know my starting build and runes were much less than optimal (Udyr runes, cloth + pots, I know, I'm terrible).

Talon 1 v 1 late game isn't a monster compared to other champs (he's not beating Jax anytime soon), but he still offers respectable AoE damage and his silence still ****s someone over pretty hard. If your team has Mumu for example, who cares if they have oracles if you get to crap on them for free?

hey scamp aren't you an old school peach main? do you play melee anymore?
I still play if it's around but it's safe to say that I don't really play anymore, as in practice or go to tournaments often.

how effective can he be against a team with oracles / supported range carries / ap nukers who don't need to be in range to deal more than a quarter of his total output?

He suffers the same fate as Pantheon except his mid game burst is a lot stronger.
You know you can press R again and the invis cancels so you deal the double damage really quickly right?? You talk like oracles makes all invis characters hopeless.. Supported ranged carries idk what you mean he gap closes then janna ults sure, then he can either ult otintiaite or has W to slow and just do it again. As for AP he counters them in lane :O

okay dud3

You all will respond to this with some theorycraft and then all I can say to you is just play the champion well, or just wait till next weekend's tournament and you'll see :)

I know he is pretty OP at the moment, I think Eurometa overestimates what he can do though.

I don't think he's out of line with any other assassins, to be honest. What makes him ******** is that he can OBLITERATE your buildings with his Q procs, regardless of how much health he survived with and then has the stealth to escape when enemies revive. His silence is only one second, and the large majority of his burst is single target, he doesn't have natural sustain either, so he is manageable... assuming you don't get him ridiculously fed.

Also, since he IS AD, he can go into any lane so you can't really counterpick him. Only assassin that can't really farm well is Kassadin imo, and even then he can pick it up when he has blue/mana for his ult and Force Pulse.

It just seems like assassins are seeing a revival because many teams center their DPS around one character.

Speaking of assassin revival, I come back after not playing for a year and I'm still waiting for that Eve remake...

eve is okay as a roaming support.

she's balls as anything else though :(
I actually don't know what a roaming support is. Is that like a counter-jungler?

And it's kind of interesting to be promised something and not have it delivered. It probably would be frustrating if I didn't take that year off. They've done reworks of several other characters in that time, in addition to making a whole new map.

Now that I think about it, perhaps I like Dominion because Eve is finally viable again for something. But Shaco is way better and also more fun. :)

Alistar can be a sort of roaming support, where you go lane to lane and shove people around, without killing jungle creeps. Support Eve is more than a little weird, though.

Hextech Sweeper on Soraka is pretty cool, especially when you spend the entire match mashing Q to find people in bushes.

Roaming support: support goes bot, leaves bot and harasses other lanes/junglers/wards up the place/counter wards/tries to be gay]

They are still support, just moving around the map a lot. Hence, roaming.

How can you beat Tryndamere top in threes? He has incredible gank potential and dragon control. I lost to him as Pirate... I feel like Pirate could stand a chance, but I just couldn't beat him. :[

Imo the difference between roaming and ganking all the time is-

roaming sucks, ganking is good.

Roaming weakens YOUR LANES at the cost of weakening enemy lanes.

Ganking is taking advantage of an already advantageous situation, to further your position.

Now... roaming eve was another story, but she was broken. Instant kill, all the time, if there's no pink in lane. That's why they fixed her stupid *** invis :)

I guess you just have to gank him when he's like level 1-3, force him to back to get a level advantage on him... I don't know if I could beat him as Pirate, maybe if I got a great gank.

And then when he's six he will start to jungle (maybe even earlier, once he has life steal?) and I guess then we just need to ward Red and Dragon. Its expensive and gay. When hes jungling, do I push the lane or do I chase after him?

I don't think he understands how Eve can fill the support role.

He meaning Wave.
Yeah, this. Maybe I just don't know what a "support" actually is, what with support Ashe and GP running around

I am a bit upset at the moment. The team of people I play with is struggling so hard right now. I need some advice on the most important details of each phase.

What should the team be doing in lane?

What should the jungler be doing?

How to initate properly?

How to push towers?

How to team fight?

Things like those.

I was playing with Malcolm tonight and he was telling me how our Malz should have pooled at tower to create a zone to allow our Caitlyn to drop tower. I didn't even think about that.

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. I've been playing this game since December and I am ready to progress more. I have definitely hit a wall and NEED to get a better understanding of the game.

watching tournament games is a great way to learn what top players do. it might not work at all levels though.

solo queue livestreams are nice too, but sometimes people **** around and do stupid things lol

Without a specific team comp, it is kinda hard to give you anything but vague and general information.
What should the team be doing in lane?
Defending their tower, trying to keep the lane in a neutral or unfavorable state to make ganks easier. When attempting to fight your lane opponent, make sure your creeps outnumber theirs, as they are a very large source of damage at early levels.

What should the jungler be doing?
Clearing the jungle, ganking whatever lane presents itself as gank-worthy, pressuring lanes to prevent them from getting out of hand, warding dragon, counter jungling. After laning phase, jungler is just like everyone else.

How to initate properly?
Stun/Silence/Snare/displace enemy team, or enough of their team to bypass their tanks/bruisers and get at their DPS. Making sure everyone is ready to jump into battle makes a big difference.

How to push towers?
Ward up, have a creep wave, and yeah.

How to team fight?
Have a hierarchy of characters to target, usually from Squishy -> Tanky, and just make sure everyone is on the same wavelength and focus the same character down.

>_> I hope I didn't say anything wrong.
