So there's been some Dominion vids and whatnot, but has there been an actual release date for the map? What's going on with it?
the vaguely reliable sources that I have have said that it was planned to be released "just before DotA2"

Let me rephrase what I meant. He creates a very thick wall between the enemy carry and his team and punishes the carry strongly if it comes too close.

Hrm. Skarner looks pretty legit. Ridiculous wave clearing w/ Crystal Slash, good mobility w/ his shield, strong ganks, and a suppression... plus can jungle.

Couldn't you put them in the back of the brush so that they only activate once the Golem follows you in there? The little guys don't chase.

so you expect your team to carry you because you went AP nasus instead of actually trying to win with a real build ?

This has been like this for a while (the second part). For an alternative path I usually put 2 jitbs inside the wolf alcove and then start putting some near blue. At 1.40 I walk back, auto attack, then the jitbs go off.
Not sure if this works for mini golems/wraiths/red. But if you say it works for blue that's cool.

i almost got harassed out of lane today by a panth with mana regen runes. but he ran out of mana eventually, and i managed to recover health faster than he could dish it out while still farming siph strike.
then our jungle gp came by and fed him blue buff.

In yet another game with Guardsman Bob's horrendous Skarner, I talked to Marn about him quitting MvC3/fighting games so he can get into Blizzard.

Good man, lol
He's a good initiator, but he generally has positioning issues due to his having to walk up to people and being fairly bulky.
I think he should be built AP tankish as most of his skills scale off AP, and that would allow you to still initiate for your team.

So far I've tried to build Hybrid with Rageblade, gunblade, merc, veil, trinity. -lol- usually as far as i get till they either surrender or lose.... i havent tried a tanky Skarner so if anyone does let me know how it goes..
i enjoy Skarner but he could use some re-tweaking with his mana and maybe a better AD scale with Q if not atleast a base damage increase.

His ult needs a nerf; you cant stun him out of it to mitigate damage. Only reason i say this needs a nerf is because it is rather inconsistent. Other than that he seemed solid, i played with px and he seemed alright. Strong initiation strong sustain.
Tanky AP is pretty intense. Since a 3rd party can't actually stop your Suppression from completing (though they can slow/stun you in place), you can initiate w/ impunity. Your shield has a 0.6 ratio on how much it absorbs, so you can grab Hourglass and Abyssal to great effect (and RoA to help out his health), Q keeps everyone in a small AoE permaslowed, w/ a tiny damage ratio, and all the auto attacks u throw out mean you will have your spells to spam more often and your ult should always be up (sometimes even multiple times per teamfight) [though this is less likely to occur if you don't AS].
He can handle quite a bit of harrass since he heals quite a bit w/ his line nuke and has a shield, and once you hit 6 if they get too aggressive you pull them into tower and exhaust.
