Jpak, no offense meant, but even the best players have been extremely wrong about champs pretty frequently, so I'd append "in the current meta" to everything you say so as to not look silly in a month when a champion you said sucks gets heavily nerfed.Hmmmm
Shaco is really good but requires a large amount of skill. There are only a handful of players that can play him really well like less than 5 players. He is viable in arranged/tourney play. If you're looking for one, there's mokuza, he plays for my team.
Vocal farm cs kills and all that, you may be leading in all those categories but there is still room for improvement. Those few numbers really will not win you the game. Even if your team feeds hard you can still win. As you even admitted yourself there is lots of knowledge and things you can read/learn about an opponent. Everyone repeats the same stuff.
Nocturne should be no where near the range of a flash taunt because he does not need to be close to be able to get in the fight. Taunt is far from 7 second cd, it is 12 seconds. Even if you account for blue buff its not anywhere near 7. If you take blue buff from someone that really needs it you're already hurting your team. Nocturne can spell shield the taunt.
Since we're talking about high level of play, you can't kite an ulted olaf unless in really specific situations, but generally you can't. Olaf has multiple builds whether it is tanky or damage. Going the tanky route he still does plenty of damage.
Akali sucks, amumu is a top 3 jungler, olaf and cait are solid picks. Don't read too much into stonewall's comments, he is extremely knowledgeable about jungling but it is not that good of a player.
At even level 20 you can play with 30s , not really that big of a gap.
Wasn't because I wasn't playing nidalee or support lol. although, admittedly, my ezreal isn't that great regardless.I expected it when you chose an AD carryEveryone knows you can only play Nidalee or support!
rammus was the one that got me out of the 800 elo hell bracket. once i got 1200 or so, people weren't so easy to gank, and i had more success with lategame ap carries (specifically, anivia and karthus). after >250 games at 800, these guys got me up to 1500 in 150 games or so.I was just really mad when I made that post. I know 2 things. First, I have become better than the players at my elo. Second, each team has an equal chance of containing the especially bad players. Therefore, I should be able to easily win the game in which they are on the other team and then win some of the ones where they're on my team by making up for their stupidity with my skill. Still gonna be hard with people who haven't ever heard of the word "positioning" or realize that 2v5 are bad odds -_-
because map awareness makes for an enjoyable game!Summoners Throw
Why is it fun to carry a ward?
What's an optimal way to build Amumu?
Really not sure what's best beyond the obvious cloth+pots building to a Heart of Gold start.
Stonewall's basically the king of jungle knowledge. He's probably found a jungling path for every character and probably has the most accumulated jungling knowledge of any one player (though I imagine saintvicious has a pretty sizable store of information as well). When people want to know how to jungle with a character, they look for stonewall's YouTube video because it inevitably exists.Sunfire and banshee is core on mummy. Sunfire synergizes with tears so an obvious choice and without blue mummy needs mana soo badly so banshees. From there its situational; if they have a hyper ad carry (yi ashe trynd) get randuins to screw them over.
@jpak
I dont even know who stonewall is. Caitlyn is **** late game.
why double hog?My build is D Sheild, HoG, Sorc Boots, HoG, Abys. Scepter, Deathcap, Randuins/sell other
.
as much as i would like to say this is a good idea it isnt...they all have great energy regain abilites already but making stuff thats "champ specific" wouldnt be helpful at all.I agree Evan, Randuins helps with that. However unless you have Energy regen runes the CD reduction could gimp your damage output since you expend energy so fast.
Maybe something like "Amulet of Balance" which decreases the energy cost of an ability by 10 and gives 10-15% CD reduction.
Have it upgrade to something else that decreases cost by 20 and gives 20-25% CD. They don't stack with each other for the energy reduction effect. So if you had both you'd get the -20 cost not -30. The first one would cost about as much as a SV and the second as much as Banshee's(total cost).
Ha...that could be ridiculous combined with energy regen runes especially on Akali.
It's the opposite, whatever high level players use successfully generally trickle down to the lower levels. Alistar, cho, zilean are all from CLG. Overpower (ManyReason's former team) showed Sivir was OP. RainMan shows the power of teemo and he will get nerfed.Jpak, no offense meant, but even the best players have been extremely wrong about champs pretty frequently, so I'd append "in the current meta" to everything you say so as to not look silly in a month when a champion you said sucks gets heavily nerfed.
After playing so many 5s games today I found a few new things:
Soraka is really good
Zilean is counter by a hard CC team ie lux taric ashe and ya
Global ult team is really strong - soraka karthus tf panth shen
Malphite is a very good champion despite how many times hotshot says he is not on stream
doublelift's blitz is the real deal
alistar (getting more attention), blitz, cass, irelia (getitng more attention), karthus, lux, malzahar, poppy (have to get a good early game), renekton, singed( getting more attention), swain, teemo, and trundle
they dont have to make one for it to be strong.
anivia irelia janna karthus rammus shen sivir zilean are all very very strong
As you can see I'm calling Irelia op almost three months ago, and Renekton a month ago. Plus plenty more.malzahar is the best ap carry atm, annie right behind.
cho is really good should be first pick or close to it, and renekton is op.
all seems awkward now but idk give it a month or two may be even less.
amumu is a top 3 jungler
blitz is OP but hard to play
=D
farm better and understand your burst better.Mogwai, give me a 10-15 minute lesson on how to not suck with Irelia![]()
