I was getting flamed by a terribad Fiddles two days ago because I wasn't building AP on my Ryze. I proceeded to 3-shot him for the rest of the game.

Pretty sure he was BR.

Despite a thread or two of "Ryze OP" mainstream (read: "forum going") LoLers don't seem to be predicting him as an upcoming FotM. This is excellent. Most excellent.

You would think people would actually pay attention to the new Ryze after Elementz put him on tier 1 solo/tier 2 draft.
Don't people normally listen to him like the word of God? Maybe they just have selective hearing because they are butthurt they can't instagib somebody with the new Ryze... It takes an extra 2 seconds of casting to nuke to death and still have dps afterwards and tankiness... What a bad character.

You guys have no idea how glad I am that he survived through his free week without becoming FotM. Yes, it is bound to happen, but hopefully that won't be for a good long while.

Besides, everyone's too stuck on Teemo and Nocturne right now to notice.

Yeah, his play style isn't so "In your face" as some of the more dastardly and current FotM. It is possible he will last quite a bit longer. I can think of a couple scenarios where an outstanding champion went many months, like Jpak pointed out, without the community catching on.

Funconventional build #2: Rageblade Malady Twitch.

Your goal is to hit the other guy 6 times as quickly as possible and expunge him for 400 damage at level 9. After that you will build Frozen Mallet and Black Cleaver so you don't suck. I'm not saying this build is good or that it makes Twitch good. But it's fun and funny.

You can start with cloth+5 pots and build wriggles so that way if you're ever fighting somebody in a creep wave you can turn your ultimate into Transcendent Blades. I'm pretty sure SnP procs on-hit effects, so it would be pretty neat to get four Wriggle procs off a creep wave while simultaneously fighting somebody.

Tiamat stacking Twitch is still the most fun. Nothing like AoE procs on an AoE attack, lol.

Tiamat on pirate is really amusing. Gunshot crits for 1.2k, everything around takes 600 (I think it proc'd as a melee attack despite being a spell, don't remember)

Perfect for when the opposing team is doing baron. Parley baron, get proc, penta!

Mogwai, you seem to be really sold on the 5 pots + cloth opening on Irelia for laning her, why?

Because it gives her staying power. Irelia that doesn't need to go back = win the lane easier = easier farming = she turns into a monster.

Get guinsoo's because of the massive efficiency of it. like 1800g in free stats when it's maxed out.

Nashors for the CDR + AS for pushing as well. Lich Bane is good if you need more damage output, if you're being focused defensive + zhonyas is a must.

I usually just default to opening Doran's item on most characters. On Irelia I obviously open with shield. Guess I'll be trying Cloth + pots (I build Wriggle's so that'll help) next time I play.

Oh god I should have started to play Amumu way earlier.
