what could be on a 26 gen direct that makes it worth watching
Like, really? Pumpkaboo, I don't get you. If you aren't a fan of any of the things on Zippo's list/any of the Mario RPGs, I don't really know what to tell you. There's so many rumors to be excited for, or you know, literally anything that isn't AC. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited as hell for Thursday night (12M Friday), but I wanna know what else is coming this year. AC alone will never sustain me, no matter how great it is; I like being stimulated and AC doesn't scratch that itch at all. It's why I supplement my awful WoW addiction (despite having nothing to do in that game, ree) with other games like ALTTPR (that's what I've been doing near-daily) and DQ11, and will be filling in that list with AC come Thursday night. AC's the perfect supplemental game but never the "end all, be all, only game you play" kind of game, unless you're an extremely casual/chill gamer, which I am not, and I'd expect the vast majority of Smash fans aren't either, given that Smash is anything but chill.
TL;DR/Needless to say: This is a SMASH forum, and in specifics, a GENO thread, so the majority of people here are going to be excited for a basically-guaranteed-to-be-shown-in-the-next-direct SMASH REVEAL, and the potential rumor of a MARIO RPG game coming. If you don't like Mario RPGs, this isn't the thread for you. If you don't care for Smash reveals, why are you in a newcomer speculation thread?
Even this Indie Direct is probably going foreshadow things to come
You really think so? I'm expecting nothing but games that are already out/have been out for other platforms, and games that we know exist coming to the Switch as well as the other platforms.
Idk, I've never seen an indies direct and don't even plan to watch this upcoming one live, but I don't get why it's even a thing unless you're just wanting to give specific games extra support.
For me, I do think if its Challenger 6 for FP2, they would save it for a general direct and possibly a Sakurai Showcase. Remember of the Smash Effect, it will overshadow other indie games due to how BIG Smash Ultimate is on Everyone is Here.
Definitely this, esp since they know viewer turnout for an indies direct will be significantly lower than an actual direct. Even if DLC 6 is an indie, it'll be shown at the direct that's HOPEFULLY FOR THE LOVE OF **** next week.
