Okay, Twitch itself is now adding the times for the EVO finals. After looking at a UTC to CST clock, 7 p.m. UTC translates to 2 p.m. central.

So, is it clear as crystal now? This situation is less consistent than fake leaks.

Okay guys some people seem to be having a problem with this

Smash Ultimate is the final game being showed at Evo. The Top 8 starts at 7:00 PM UTC-7, which is the same as 7:00 PM PST because PST is currently PDT--Pacific Daylight Time. The time is given as 7:00 PM because Las Vegas is in the Pacific Timezone. The UTC/Universal Coordinated Time system is essentially the same as the old GMT/Greenwich Mean Time system and the -7 means that it is seven hours behind the UTC+0/GMT+0 timezone.

This means that if you live in the Pacific Timezone, it starts at 7:00 PM. If you live in the Mountain Timezone, it starts at 8:00 PM. If you live in the Central Timezone, it starts at 9:00 PM. If you live in the Eastern Timezone, it starts at 10:00 PM.

If you live in Europe you should be familiar with the UTC system but if for some reason you're not, if you live in the UK, Ireland, or Portugal, it starts at 3:00 AM. If you live anywhere else in Western Europe it starts at 4:00 AM.

I don't think that would be it. For some reason, I think the starling picture has nothing to do with the Hero presentation. Whatever it's hinting towards, I believe it hasn't come to pass.

Yes, the source confirmed that it does mean something and they did it shortly after Hero's presentation last Tuesday.

I mean, sure, Sabi’s source has never posted images that long before the subject they referred to was announced in the past, but that’s no guarantee for the future. What if that source found out something much earlier than it was intended to be announced this time for whatever reason? I think it’s a possibility worth considering, especially if nothing gets announced at EVO by Nintendo.

It's totally possible but it would also be extremely different from the past. Sabi introduced me to him last November and I was able to do my own research and trace back hints that he had made since last E3. Three weeks has basically been the longest. This also falls in line with Jon's Otter posting because it may not have been for Hero's presentation, which supposedly a number of insiders knew about but had no idea what was in it.

I question whoever that kept confusing the starting time for EVO with Smash's starting time. You had ONE JOB, schedulers.

Although it doesn't help that pacfic and central times were tossed around with abandon here, and the time conversion only reliably translates one of those into EST.

At least the killswitch is passed...for now. Less than 7 hours left until stuff starts.

Even if we get something, I'm still sincerely doubting a Direct is the outcome. They went over everything for Hero already and it seems like Sakurai intends on presenting each fighter individually in the future, so Banjo & Kazooie wouldn't really be covered in detail this early either, nor would 5.0 be discussed. It'd pretty much have to just be a character trailer unless Sakurai has something huge up his sleeves (which, let's be honest, with the amount of work that has already gone into Smash post launch and his comments about DLC overall and specifically budget, he probably doesn't).
