Ugh, I keep losing at the Hero's Comrades spirit battle for the Spirit Board. I was able to get the others with no problem, but I just keep losing. Any strategies you guys could recommend?

So if when geno gets announced , I was hoping to use my editing skills to put together a thank you video of sorts and try and figure out how to get it to sakurai and any other important people at Nintendo. One thing i wanted to include was a compilation of reactions to the reveal trailer from the fans to give a very physical example of what it means to have this happen(and something that wouldn't need a translation hehe), but just collecting YouTuber and live feed reactions would be kinda lame so for anyone thats willing if you could get a recording of yourself during the announcement if it happens I would be very gratefull. We can figure out the details of how to get it all together at a later time if it happens.

I don't think the Smash Top 8 is for like another 7 hours so there's still a ton of time for a hypothetical EVO announcement. If it's announced at the end, we could be looking at 9 hours.

I mainly used Bowser and spammed D-air from above. They don't really do any up smashes a lot, but they are smart enough to hide under floating platforms whenever those show up. There is no time limit though so take your time.

Yeah, I used Hero for all the others, but that one was a right pain in the arse, so I used Petey Piranha with Shine Sprite and Victini as Bowser. It's still pretty rough, but you get to wreck **** until the tomato drops, at which point you get to regen and go for the last few. Hope this helps!

I don't remember the spirit combination I had but I was able to do it on my first try as Ridley, using his flame breath and drag attack to take out huge chunks of damage at a time.

Looking for some last minute 4chan leaks before the time happens, not to find anything substantial just for fun tbh. This one doesn't really make much sense to me? But I would be ok with this, I want more Final Fantasy content. Would be a interesting trade for SMRPG spirits

My issue with this is the description of the cinematic. For awhile now I've assumed that if they did bring in Geno and gave him his own announcement cgi trailer it'd either be of him jumping into the aftermath of the Ridley trailer or the Hero trailer. But why would he be attacking Hero? Hero was fighting off the corrupted fighters. IF anything he'd be fighting Cloud/the corrupted fighters rather than randomly shooting at Hero.

I used Megaman and a fully powered up and Isaac (Dark Dawn) primary with spirits that boosted shooting attacks attached. Then just used his forward smash plus his other specials and whatnot. Beat them in 3 tries.

So, I found an interesting pattern, so you KNOW its true:

The DLC so far is available near the date of the newest amiibos waves being released.

Base game and wave 1 come out same day.

Plant is out the end of January, wave 2 (which actually has plant) is 2 weeks later.

Joker was April 16. Wave 3 was April 12.

Hero was July 31. Wave 4 was July 26.


Wave five is set for September 20th. A few days later is fall.

Wave 6 is November, a common estimated time people see character 4 coming, perhaps near the end.

And wave 7 is 2020, but most likely the first quarter.


Of course, just a pattern seen so far, but its interesting how it lines up.

Spirit wise, I'd recommend:

* Any super armor spirit
* Armor Knight (sacrifices speed for much less damage taken, plus some attack) - get it from upgraded Zelgius (Black Knight) and / or Halberd
* Autoheal
* Or, if you wanna go offense, any one shot build, like a Fist attack + Giant combination on Little Mac.

As for characters, I'll recommend characters that have can stay on for a long time. Not just K. Rool / Dedede, but also Joker and / or Hero does the job pretty well.

I honestly thought they just weren't going to have any more RWBY characters with how they hadn't touched them in the previous year of DLC, but I'm very happy to see at least one more show up. I really hope they go further and bring some characters like Qrow, Ren, and Nora in... but we'll just have to see if we get more or not.

I used Ganondorf with the Metal Face spirit and I believe the hyper smash attacks spirit. Full on unga bunga with the doriya.

Spoiler: My idea for a Geno reveal

Okay, so it's a continuation of the Castlevania reveal. Simon and Richter are fighting the undead monster hordes, and just before they're overwhelmed, Luigi strides in. And he's ****ing PISSED. He leaps right in and kills just about everyone, with several firey blasts and sweet spot uppercuts, culminating in one-shotting Death with a misfired Green Missile. But then Dracula shows up and begins handing Luigi his head, knocking him into a nearby study. Then the camera shows Luigi's lifeless body lying there in a pile of books and other study stuff. Turns out Luigi's body was being posessed by a little glowing soul thingy, which then moves off screen. Dracula enters the study in order to finish Luigi off, but then he's sucker punched by a wooden fist. The fist returns to it's owner, and then, splash screen.
GENO *INSERT PUN HERE* (COMES FROM ON HIGH, I guess...?)
Cut to footage of Geno fighting other evil creatures, including a few references to SMRPG, ending off with Geno's Final Smash. Logo pops up. One final scene shows Geno helping Luigi's soul get back into his body. Luigi is alive.

It's strange to see another fighting game try to out-crossover Smash. I feel like it's going to be a while before they stop adding new franchises. BBTAG seems like a game that is going to keep on trucking longer than most people expected. Glad that they are going to 2.0, as that is a great way to keep the game fresh(Wish DBFZ did the same thing).

After we get Geno, let's try to get Blitztank into Smash.

Jokes aside, can someone look into any possible Arksys connection with Starlings? I just want to know if there is some perspective we have missed, because something Mori said stood out to me.

Be sure to also make use of the help items such as weakening minions or draining their HP if you're still having trouble. Ike is definitely the hardest of the group.
