I know that, I mean if it's not for a Smash reveal or the Hero feature from last week, then I have no clue what on Earth it's hinting at, seeing as we almost certainly won't get a general direct until next month, and I doubt it'd be related to the Indies direct that might come this month.
Whatever it is, it only makes sense in hindsight, and to the source that posted it.

Didn’t you guys know that Sakurai originally wanted to include 2 more fighters for base game, but the box of the special edition with every fighter prevented that. It had to be symmetrical, so the dev team had to scrap months of work.
obvious sarcasm is obvious, yeah just because the website wouldn’t be symmetrical, I doubt Nintendo would be like, dang, one of our big money-making titles can’t have any more DLC because our website isn’t perfectly aligned. Sucks, amirite?

The image is very much a hint at something, make no mistake about that.
What it is a hint towards is what we don't know. Also keep in mind that Jon from GameExplain posted otters a couple weeks back, and frankly I don't think this little "Introducing...Hero! Game Time with Masahiro Sakurai!" is worthy of a otter posting as they are normally for Nintendo Directs of some sort. So the likelihood of something big coming is very VERY high, but whether that is Geno or it's something else is currently unknown.
Our excitement comes from connecting these things with the lack of Geno's Mii Costume returning when it was an easy-money port.

For the longest time, the Smash site was glitched out and you could only view the DLC fighters on the mobile version. Why they took so long to fix it is beyond me.

Oof, they post the entire DLC lineup as two rows of three making it a perfect rectangle. Adding another character would have to mean forcing another under the middle one, which would look weird and i'm not sure they would do that.
I checked the regular fighters to make sure it's the same way, and yep, it is. Perfect rectangle.
This means either Geno is a fighter's pass character or we're not getting Geno and we're not getting an extra character anyways...
Sorry guys we can’t add anyone else or the perfect rectangle on our website will be messed up. Is that reasonable to you?

How the layout of the DLC Fighters looks entirely depends on your browser. On mobile, you have one column, one per row. People made the same mistake for the website for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for WiiU. They expected a perfect grid for the main character tiles on the "Characters" page, despite the pre-DLC character's tile positioning based on the browser's size, and a perfect full row for the small character icons on the bottom of each character's pages (except Bayonetta's icon was on its own). I wouldn't use the page design and layout as an argument against possible additional DLC, including a bonus Geno.
At the same time, I'm personally not expecting additional DLC at this point in time. Perhaps when DLC character #5 have been revealed and some time has passed, Nintendo might consider a second year pass or a few additional DLC singular characters. Let's not get ahead of our selves, expecting more at this point in time may lead to disappointment.

I would love if Sakurai got up on stage, after the finals, and says 'Lets cut to the chase. Everyone expects something out of me when Smash is out and relevant. Well guess what? I am TIRED of pleasing you people! Day in, day out I pour my soul, blood and sweat into this game. And all I hear is, what about Waluigi? Or better yet, what about Geno? I don't think that the beauty of a website is the priority of nintendo when it comes to sell DLCs + they can sell 3 extra characters like in Street Fighter V where there's 4 non season pass characters.

Something to digest while we wait for potentially big news tomorrow: Geno's now not all that different from Hero. Rumors about Geno actually started around this time last year, causing several insiders to make statements about it, and likely spurring Jon's now famous comments on the topic last September. In comparison, the first substantial rumors about Banjo started popping up in November. Again, pointing at my own mistakes in the past, I was certain that Hero wasn't happening because of how "old" the intel was but I was made to eat crow when that ultimately didn't matter, it was still true. That said, we very well could be in a similar situation, where the longevity of the Geno rumors may actually mean exactly what we're hoping they mean.

Actually, there wasn't much rumors for Geno during the speculation scene...
Vergeben heard Geno by someone apparently but was told "not to take it too seriously"
Before the final smash direct, only Andre from GameXplain is the one predicting Geno. Jon doesn't really buy into it.
Then, later on, during their Fighter Pass predictions, Jon then predicted Geno again.
No one at GameXplain has talked about Geno since then even though his Mii Costume is gone

I wonder what time EVO starts tomorrow? I might not even watch it as the only thing I'm probably even remotely interested in is to see if there will be a Smash reveal most notably a Geno reveal.
Speaking of Spyro, I just played and finished the entire Reignited Trilogy for the first time ever. Those games were a blast.
I take 4chan leaks with a HUGE grain of salt. But that is interesting that Reimu is popping up in a lot of those 4chan leaks, though even if all of them are just fakes.

I had an awesome evening with some of my friends!
We ate while playing Smash Ultimate, Ultimate Alliance 3, MvC3 and MKX.
Also watched some funny videos and talked about DQ and DB since one of them is a fan of the latter.

Hitagi, Xenother, and Vergeben all heard about Geno but all leaned in hard to the negative side, for example. There's some evidence that various Resetera mods had heard rumors too.

I do feel like the website at least shows first year intentions, like I've said, the website, the Character Select Screen, and the Stage Selection Screen have all been perfectly designed around Piranha Plant and the Fighter's Pass. They can always add more down the line, but I think it does indicate that we really shouldn't expect any content beyond the Fighter's Pass until the pass is complete (So no extra stages, Echoes, or middle of the Fighter's Pass bonus characters).
When did Xenother and Hitagi ever say anything about Geno?

It's been a long road, that's for sure. I've been wanting Geno since my high school days in 2006. Crazy to think we're so close to finding out the truth if he has anything for him or not.

Do you have sources for this? I only know that Vergben was told Geno and they said "dont take it too seriously". Hitagi and Xenother never mentioned geno as far as im aware

What you guys think is worst, GameFaqs or 4chan? I think 4chan wins that contest just a tiny bit due to how 4chan users in the comments make discriminating remarks to the leaker, which is on a completely different level of wrong compared to most GameFaqs users who just love to see fan favorites deconfirmed.
