So Australia's biggest tournament ever happened, and finally the entire Australian scene has become connected because of it; Corpse leaving a huge splash with his victory. Brawl was not the only thing to be shaken, with Kas' victory over the most prolific Australian Melee Champion - CAO.

Rocky has perhaps changed the face of the Australian Smash Scene for the good. With using a motif as Rocky signifying the end of the Smash Year (I just did my tax return, k?), a whole new level of unforseen excitement is brewing as the first major of the 'Smash Year' is within reach.
With it coming into the summer [holidays], and a large portion of Smashers being students, the next couple of months are gearing up to be BIG.

This. I hosted two house tourneys in October, both with at least 8 entrants. Is it true tourneys must have at least 12 entrants now or what?

i like how in the Stigma results Jei has /Metaknight/ and Earl has /Link/ marked as chars they used.
Jei only used MK against me and lost (well he might have, but normally it's just me, so i'd bet on it), and Earl only used Link against me and lost, so i question whether it is worth recognizing that they used MK. That is all.

Oh yeah, and attila... This is what happens when you leave! You have disrupted the smash-eco-system

I trust Jei's judgement of character usage,
as I took what he posted.

"Characters listed against your name must follow most of these criteria:
- You won with that character (essential)
- And you also won that subsequent set (essential)
- They are used for the majority of what constituted your placement ~ As in the characters you used the most in the most important sets/matches
- Characters you use that stray from your normal for your opponent's counterpick are debatable [i.e. I pick MK when someone says Rainbow Ride and won the match]"

Also the front page [now] states 12-man minimum.

Exactly. Earls link didn't perform either of these (only used link when against me). Jei's MK didnt either against me (he doesnt normally use it against anyone else but i dont know about this tourney) !! BUT, if you must, you might as well wait for jei to confirm it, but he probably won't.

Oh and Shaya, btw, thanks for updating everything =D It's interesting

I dont think he vsed Haydino last tourney. Also Haydinos GaW beats his MK anyway iirc.
Leisha wasn't at that Stigma either and Tanman uses GaW for doubles.

Wait so even if he uses g&w every tourney he plays you in against you, if he doesnt win in that particular tourney, it doesnt count? Is that right?

if he doesnt win against the person he used "g&w" (I think you were looking for MK?) against in that particular tourney, then it doesnt count, unless he used that character against someone else and won, in that particular tourney.

I'm going off this "- And you also won that subsequent set (essential)" quoted from Shaya. Jei didn't win that set against me with MK.

Alright. After Nova V when people were saying there was a 12-man minimum now, I looked at the front page and didn't see anything about it, so I wasn't sure. Thanks for clearing that up.

I used MK against a few other people last tournament Splice. I don't remember who but one of them was X and I remember I wouldn't of won any of those games if it wasn't for MK. You guys know me, I don't really want to be known as an MK user but giving credit where credit is due I have to admit I used MK alot more last tourney and won matches I shouldn't of because of it.
As for Earl, that might be a mistake on my part, I indeed watched the match when he used Link against Splice and lost but for a reason I don't remember I was under the impression Earl used Link more than just that match. I may be mistaken.

I dont know if I can beat chris either but I do know the MK matchup rather well thanks to havok teaching it to me, so if you want I can show you what you should be doing.

I'm pretty confident in the match up actually, we usually run pretty even at the start of the day then he figures me out and i just get annoyed and lose.
No johns hes just better.

i could take out old samus again to cp a rob - he gives snake, ics and lucas some trouble. mind you i havent used her since that match at n2c verse nicks' wario... surviving a fresh fsmash at 200% and living until 280%+... why did nintendo gay her so hard?

Lawl im waiting for the day when they figure out an infinite on rob with metaknight. That would surely have me sobbing in the corner since i have enough trouble which that ghey matchup already >.<
