I'll definatly check out Code Geass, thanks for the tip. And no I don't get the joke .
Would you recommend seeing Gundam, Gundam Seed, Gundam Victory and all the other Gundam series too, or is Gundam 00 Phase 2 going to be much better than all those series?

Gundam, Gundam Zeta, V Gundam i would watch. If your gonna watch SEED series your in for disappointment. I wouldn't watch it. Gundam 00 Phase 2 looks promising.

Also Zeta and V Gundam has a ton of death.

Dont have Gantz,the manga is full of an insane amount of fan-service,and the anime is meh,with only one character having a large amount of development,it isnt worth it.

Code Geass is almost exactly like Death Note, but in an entirely different scenario. The motifs and elements are very similar and such. It's an awesome show. Also, Berserk. Watch Berserk, it's god**** amazing. You won't know it's amazing until you finish it. WATCH IT ALL before coming back here saying you didn't like it.

Is it just me, or does Ergo Proxy not make any sense? OK well it's not like it makes NO sense whatsoever but like, the plot is hella confusing. Am I just semi-tarded or have other people noticed this as well? I'm only up to episode four, but so far the show has done only minimal filling-in of the backstory. At first I thought it was like made for people that had already read the manga and knew what was going on but then I see in Mediocre's description that there is no manga. Weird.

Oh but it's still hella fun to watch and I'd reccomend it

Case Closed is awesome.
Although I don't take the initiative to watch it online.

I was sad when it stopped airing on Adult Swim.

I miss that show as well, ironically I thought this show was a "shounen" type of show, correct me if I'm wrong, but even so, I still love it.

aside from my list of favorite shounens I would say Cowboy Bebop as well as Death Note are among my favorites, especially the main character Sousoke from Full Metal Panic who seems serious but at the same time comical.

I always tried to watch Gundam but I guess something about big robots doesn't seem like a normal Anime to me, rather just with mostly regular people instead.

Code Geass (It's only an anime) is a must for Death Note lovers. Also Samurai Champloo and Eureka Seven were good in my opinion, they were the ones that got me hooked on Anime (Apologies if they have been mentioned before).

I've yet to meet a fantasy buff, whether they hate anime or not, who didn't adore Record of Lodoss Wars.

Although most would probably be really weary of any Gundam series the 08th MS Team and 0080 I think are pretty good general works of Science Fiction that non-anime fans or non-mecha fans could possibly enjoy. Even people who hate mecha anime that I've come across didn't mind those two because they're basically anti-war films set to a futuristic backdrop, and pretty effective ones too though of course they're no Grave of the Fireflies but what is.

If you wanted to see pictures of drawn naked ladies, you could go to google and type in "Hentai"
If Gantz cut back on all the nudity and show a little less blood, it could be a shounen and appeal to a much wider audience.

I personally haven't read or watched Gantz myself, but it's usually nice when nudity/sex/etc is used in a tasteful manner, not just spammed everywhere because the producers of the anime/manga CAN.

I don't give a **** how deep the story is or how good the characters are; if the presentation isn't there, then the anime is probably just going to be your cookie cutter (insert genre here) anime.

Then again, the mindless consumers of today worship Bleach/Naruto/rest of the shounen epics like they're the best **** on earth, so I guess it caters to some people.

I am an anime/manga hater and one day I was bored so I stole my friends death note manga.

It was the greatest. I was disappointed that I didn't get to finish it lol.

Whether or not you like anime/manga if you don't like FLCL then something is wrong with you imo.

The only part that was an explanation was "Something like a girl's boobs bouncing frequently to a point where its un-reasonable.", and I consider that very very minor fanservice.

But, a scene like...lolthis is fanservice.

I could post a thing from Gantz that is fanservice, but I dont want to be banned.

Manga or Anime: Either. They're very similar, so you probably won't want to watch both, but they're both very good. The art in the manga starts out very simplistic, but gets better.
Story: It's essentially a show about a group of schoolgirls, but it's probably the funniest anime I've ever seen. The characters are all humorous in their own ways, and they're absolutely hilarious together.
