Thats because IC are made for grabbing, they have all sorts of stuff for it. Pika does not. I beat if SK92 knew about it he woulcnt have gotten caught. Like (someone) said, it took him by surprise

Uh, WHAT? If IC's were made for grabbing, then they would be the best character in the game.

Ice climbers are probably the WORST character at getting grabs. They have the shortest grab range, the 4th slowest run speed, ZERO grab set-ups that actually work(you can just hold up if they hit you with desynched blizzard and you will jump out).
IC's are horrible at getting grabs.

After TKD chaingrabbed SK92 the first time, he definitly knew about it. Your logic confuses me and it's obvious you don't know much about the IC's...

it has IF frames so they use it to hit people away when they think they are vulnerable. they can also do it out of sheild.

Preparation and awareness can only get you so far. If a strategy or technique is just flat out effective it's gonna work.

If that's the case tell every character who gets cg'd by ddd to avoid getting grabbed as well

Ppl will pick up pika bcuz of the cg

But most who do will settle for being effectively mediocre

Basically doing cgs and getting by

At the end of the day pika is just another character on the select screen that none of us have exclusive rights to.


Wish gw could get cg'd...

I was suggesting that if Marth's only option out of a Pikachu chain grab is to upB out of it, then you can chain grab him and get him to upB(of course you have to shield it) into a footstool>Quick attack lock on his lag back down to the stage.

lol, critics these days. Only reason I posted was to prevent the thread hijackage. If it was so easy you coulda set it up so I just had to copy and paste it . Also I need to start up the game and test out how many grabs it actually takes to get them to said percentage. Last question for me, is their any perfect way to CG fox alone? It says 0 - 90 but it doesnt say how, no Fthrows? Just plain out D-throws at 0 percent? Plus, This might not be the right thread for this next question, but I'm competing in a tournie at school and of-course everyone pulls a scrub move and usually picks Fox, is their an easy to beat fox with pikachu?

Yes, Fox just requires dthrows from 0%. He falls really fast, so once you get the grab, he's pretty much f'd as long as you don't mess up the CG.

CG him, then add a little more damage and go for the kill. Fox dies really early, so once you've finished the CG, he'll usually be around death range or just short of it. (Just play it safe at this point, because Fox can also rack up damage on Pika pretty quickly when he's not worried about getting grabbed.... and his usmash hurts.)

Without the CG, Fox is a pain for Pika to fight.... almost a counter. A really good Fox can avoid getting grabbed, but it sounds like the people you'll be playing are scrubs.

Just make them approach you in the beginning, shieldgrab them, and show them why picking Fox on Pika is a baaaaad move.

... ... ... I don't understand. These grabs are phenomenal. Pikachu was a great character to begin with but now you will have more people picking him up on a high level and it will cause his metagame to evolve more quickly. That is a good thing.

I hat these CGs. He will no longer be underrated now =( everyone wants to use him >_> As for hylian saying these CG will help alot against falco......gl. If the falco doesnt wanna get grabbed he wont be. Pikachu handles snake with out the cg.

So... wait, let me get this straight. You don't want to play Pikachu anymore because now he is taken more seriously? That path of thought makes no sense and is ridiculous.

Why does the fact that the character is no longer underrated mean that you wouldn't want to main him anymore? That makes no sense.

Brawl is a game with ~35 characters that is played by millions of people-- you were never a Pikachu snowflake to begin with, dude. Don't kid yourself.

Play who you like playing, not who "no one else plays".


Also, Hylian is correct about the IC grab range-- Pika has a much easier time than IC grabbing people. Falco is not very hard to get grabs on-- all he can do is Laser/Laser/Phantasm to get away from Ice Climbers, and they always eventually get him. For Pikachu it will be even easier to grab Falco.

these cg's do make pikas game a little more gay. i just try and play without them to have fun. but in tournies...watchout mutha effers. im crazy. i will never give up pika. i love the gameplay way too much. it fits me so perfectly.

and mario can gimp people...he has a cape. he is one of the few with the possibility of gimping pika.

I know. In friendlies, I play without CG's, 'cause they're pretty easy to win with. In a real match though, its all out. And Stealth, I just don't follow you this time. More CG's are definitely a good thing. I don't care for CG's in general myself, but I always welcome more options. And even if you never use it, there's always the mindgames you can do with it!
