Am I the only one that thinks that Natal is going to do better than Move?

Natal looks like it's going to balance really well, between casual and core games. I know the new Ghost Recon is going to let you use hand signals to give your squad commands. With a microphone on it, you could yell squad commands, or for online play you can have Natal set up for a completely different game, and use the microphone as an open microphone, like WiiSpeak.

The Sony controller just looks like a beefed up wii mote. Even if Move is more technologically capable, I still think it will boil down maybe not the shovel ware the Wii has, but I doubt the problem of waggle is going to go away.

Not really. Whlie it won't be enough to convince me to buy a Xbox 360, if Microsoft implant it properly, I can see this being a success with the casual crowds.

I also noticed a trend:
E3 2006: Everyone hates Sony
E3 2008: Everyone hates Nintendo (Most people still do to this day, IMO)
I predict next year will be Microsoft's year for an critically hated conference. Just saying.

Aperture Science said:
Dear Subject Name Here,

Aperture Science is pleased to inform you that we have partnered with Valve to announce the gala CANCELLATION of the June 14 Portal 2 event at the Regal theatre. The event will be replaced by a surprise. And even though the cancellation of the event certainly counts as a surprise, we are pleased to further announce that the cancellation of the event is not THE surprise. However, per International treaties regarding the definition of the word “surprise”, of which both Aperture Science and Valve are signatories, the time, date and content of the actual surprise will only become available as you experience the surprise.

If you’d like to ask fruitless questions about the E3 Portal 2 surprise or, more fruitfully, schedule an appointment to attend a Portal 2 screening at the Valve booth during E3, please contact Valve’s Special Envoy to Surprises, Doug Lombardi.

Thank you for <>

PS: The surprising record scratch is also not the surprise.
Maybe it's a QnA session with GlaDos? :D

According to Zelda Informer, the rumored title for Zelda Wii is "The Legend of Zelda: The Prophet of Light".

I Just wanna hear.....nah forget that....see Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer.

Wii does the same every year, with new peripherals and a new game or 2.

Playstation will introduce some new games and maybe some new online features.

Xbox more games and some new applications as well.

This year I"ll watch the stream, I just want to see what mind blowing thing would all the systems will bring.
I really wish they would roll out new systems. The current systems are falling pretty far behind.

I think this cycle is going to last years more though, because I have a feeling Sony and Microsoft will be pushing 3D onto their next consoles.

jolly old england. hohoho.
The longer this generation the better. I don't think it would be healthy for the industry to move ahead just yet. Sony's only started getting somewhere with PS3 now!

I'm quite looking forward to seeing what the 3DS has. I don't think I'll buy it launch day, but I really want to know what capabilities it's got. I think there's going to be something equally interesting on top of the 3d.

If they make another SSB on the Wii(or even on the 3DS) then I'm fine with this generation lasting longer, but I don't want to have to wait another 4 or 5 years for a new SSB just because they stick to one per console. I don't see why they cant make one every 2-3 years like any other normal series. I get tired of seeing multiple Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and Pokemon games released on the same console but only one of series like SSB and Mario Kart.

Considering the state of the economy through the last decade, and this year, it's too soon for that.

Until right now, I haven't thought about the prospect, but I'm excited to see what games are announced for the 3DS, if any.

Over here the streams are going to be starting at midnight, the only one I'd bother to really watch would be Nintendos. I have an exam in the evening before Nintys and an exam first thing in the morning after the stream. Laaaame

E3 Games Breakdown:

Nintendo has confirmed to be showing the 3DS, Vitality Sensor, and Zelda Wii. This along with the possibilities of Retro Studios' new game, and project Sora, as well as the fact that there could be a number of surprises ( such as what Intelligent Systems has been working on). Plus we have The Conduit 2 to look forward to. And of course Reggie.

Microsoft has confirmed extensive showings of Natal, and multiple games and prototypes that will be shown, one of which is hopefully the confirmed Rare Natal game. This is not to mention that Halo Reach will get some screen time, and hopefully more about Gears 3, and Fable 3. We also have any number of surprises in store, and hopefully a more extensive showing of Metal Gear Rising.

Sony has already done some demoing of the Playstation Move, but will almost definitely show more of what they have at E3 (Socom anyone?) We also have the beautiful Last Guardian to witness, not to mention the 3D Castlevania, which could go any which way at this point. And then we have Infamous 2 to looks forward to, as we get to see a new city, new powers,l and hopefully even more fun. Then we can only hope to see Final Fantasy 14 there as well, as Square goes once more into the MMO genre. We can also get a look at the uber-hyped Killzone 3, not to mention the sequel to one of the most unique games ever to be release on th ePS3: LittleBigPlanet2. And then let's not forget God of War, Chains of Olympus as well.

Then we have games like Bulletstorm, the high octane, stylistic FPS that is sure to impress. Crysis 2 is also gonna be there, shining as it does. Deus Ex; Human Revolution looks amazing, as the futuristic FPS RPG comes back with a vengeance.

Portal 2 is all set to appear, so we can all get a sneak peek at what GLaDOS has in store for us in the sequel to one of the best puzzle games of all time. And speaking of Valve, they have already confirmed a "surprise" in store for E3. Could this be the fabled Half Life 2: Episode 3, or something completely new?

Then of course we have Bioware's epics to look forward to; will we get some hands on of the Old Republic? Maybe a trailer of Mass Effect 3? Perhaps the next step in the Dragon Age series? With Bioware you never know.

And of course we have Ubisoft, who is hopefully going to repent for the sin that was last years conference, and show some stunning trailers, perhaps the next Assassin's Creed, or maybe even a glimmer of the next Splinter Cell. Then of course we have Ghost Recon :Future Soldier, which is almost guaranteed to have a hands on, and at the very least an extensive trailer.

EA also has the chance to bring out the big guns, such as Medal of Honor, the modern reboot to the classic FPS franchise. Maybe if they really wanted to, they could sneak in something (most likely nothing more than an announcement) from Respawn Entertainment if they really wanted to shove it in Activision's face. This, also along with the fact that DICE employees had announced that Battlefield 3 was on their schedule really makes the chance for EA to have an FPS fest this year pretty large. Adm we can't forget that EA partners has come together with Insomniac, the famed Ratchet and Clank, and Resistance developer to create something we can hope will blow our minds. Truthfully, with EA, half of it is guesswork.

Then we also have Vanquish, from Resident Evil veteran Shinji Mikami, a futuristic 3rd person shooter looking to put RE5 to shame and show Capcom who's boss.

Speaking of Capcom, they've got a hugely hyped up fighter in Marvel VS Capcom 3, and hopefully some other fun surprises to show us

And fans of open world games and destructible environments can look forward to a trailer, and most likely even a playable demo of Red Faction: Armageddon.

And for all those horror fans out there, you can look forward to seeing a lot on Fear 3 this year, with trailers, and hands on demos.

Kingdom Hearts is also set to be back, showing off the new hand-held title Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. It isn't quite Kingdom Hearts 3, but it will do, and the lead designer has already said he won't begin on 3 until Birth by Sleep is out, so we'll have to deal with this slightly watered down, but still undoubtedly beautiful action-RPG blend.

Also from Disney is coming Epic Mickey, still a vague game, but wort noting nonetheless

This, plus many more confirmed, and the plethora of surprises destined to show themselves at the show makes this out to look like one of the best E3s in years.

I wouldn't be surprised if they announced L4D3 at this year's E3. After all, L4D2 came out a year after L4D1.

If Left4Dead3 is announced, I refuse to have anything to do with that game series. I loved L4D, bought L4D2 and never installed it (or opened it for that matter) because I lack access to Windows for a while, but I just refuse to support a business model that sees a new game coming out every year. That's why I never play sports games.

It be fine if it was budget price like SF, but 60 bucks a year to play a game is just crazy. That's like a yearly vacation.

That stuck out to me. I recently decided to go back and play Assassin's Creed II since I'd never really seen most of the single player campaign, and I really got hooked into it. I'm looking forward to Brotherhood, not least because it's confirmed to have multiplayer.

And I'd lol if Respawn Entertainment came out with something just to spite Activision. I'd love to see what people would make of it.

I unfortunately see Valve going down the route of Activision SLOWLY if they do this. Just because Modern Warfare 2 players are close to being sheep (sorry, but it's close to being true), putting Valve players in the same category as them would be fatal. Unfortunately, despite Activision having ruthless business methods, and Robert Kotick being a money grabber, their methods are beautiful.

Any ways, Spike will have a pre E3 show on the 11th at 11. Be sure to catch the gameplay trailer of Killzone 3 there.

Can't wait for this Friday for the Killzone special, but as for youre comment about activision, I think L4D2 was an isolated event, as Valve is the furthest from Activision in their game development cycles, as they probably have the longest in the world next to Blizzard (who in fact merged with Activision)

God if they announce the next Assassin's Creed game to have Exio in it, I'll go nuts

He is a million times more cooler than Altair, plus Italy is just that much more beautiful than riding on a horse for more than half of the game while riding in the deserts of the Middle East.

PLUS, he has all his fingers in tact :p

Btw, how DID Da Vinci find out how to keep all of Exio's fingers intact?

And the next game better have an answer to the video they show you after you collect all the glyphs. I want to see how the first assassins came out...

They already have confirmed Ezio to be in the next game, roach. Rejoice! Go look up the series on Wikipedia. It's more of an expansion than a true sequel, but it has multiplayer.

Part of the reason Ezio's so much more relatable to in the second game is because they put considerably more character development into it compared to Altair. It's just one of the reasons why AC2 was considered to be a huge improvement over the first game. But Altair's cool in his own cold, aggressive way, imo. He'd be as loved as Ezio if they gave him the same treatment. ;)

Actually, Da Vinci didn't find out how, it was Altair who did. He both saw a way to improve the blade due to the pieces of Eden he found and did it because it was a sacrifice which the Assassin's were ill prepared to afford. They were losing the war, after all. They still are in 2012.

You should probably bump Darkslash's thread on this if you want to go further than that.
