no you don't. I'm a failure to melee society who sits around with the worst crew of level 1s ever.

My greatest claim to fame is once beating 2 lvl 9s in a 2v1. It was close though. I had to use a star for the win.

Without you and other docs, we are all doomed to fail, do you want that? D: <

I dunno. Does it allow me to continue playing my RPGs in peace, knowing good and well I never have to rise up to desperate cries for a hero among the common man?

I, erm, sold my vocal chords on ebay!

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Sold them so I could buy another chair, I don't need vocal chords anyway!

(Don't mind at all, just like, come find me or I might come find you.)

SSF4 over melee?

i hate yu dogy

Sorry I'm multi-talented. :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

SSFIV looks fun, but I'll probably never end up playing it.

It's straight. It can be a s***load of fun, provided you figure out what character fits your playstyle. Or you play one that you CAN make fit your playstyle.

It actually kinda makes me sad, there are a few characters I wanna learn in SSF4, but I'm too lazy to do so atm. (The highest on the list being Ibuki, cause she soooooo fits into my favorite architect of character)

But, like, I have other characters in other games I'd rather learn first. (Like, I swear. There are no fighters in the future for a while, so eventually I'm gunna learn some frickin F-Kohaku in MBAA. Or atleast learn C-Kohaku CORRECTLY).

I better not pick up anymore fighting games. It'd be one more game I'd have to master and that would just take away the scarce hours I have to learn melee. I think I'm making Halo Reach my very last videogame to pick up for awhile (and that's only if I magically attain $500 in time to buy a Xbox360 and stuff). But definitely no more fighters. Nope, no SFF4 or Tekken 6 for me. Could have beasted with Paul Phoenix too. :ohwell:

Oh yea, might be goin to a melee tournament this weekend finally. I'll play just fine as long as I don't get too nervous.

I will do that. Let's see if I can. Do you know his weak spot? : D I haven't really seen any of his vids so I dunno how he plays.

Well you CAN play rpg's when you like, but you can't play an RPG during melee. You have to have a schedule... and shti...

Like, how do I do that? Like, fake a fair or something? I spot dodge randomly, and have no reason for it... unless it's something like missing a tilt from marth or something...

hey guys, just gonna throw this out there. its a little trick i learned a couple days ago and it is only moderately useful but i wanted to share it. Basically, it's just a method for doing a quick up air OOS because to me, that is one of his best options since it auto cancels and comes out quick. It can't hit some characters if they are ducking, but at least it's something. All you need to do is if you are shielding, just double tap the C-stick up really quick and you will jump out of your shield and up air your opponent. Why not just shield grab you might ask? i have no idea but i figured i'd just post this anyways :D

LOL Don't worry about not shield grabbing. Thanks for the input, it is good for Doc to have options out of shield. For example instead of trying to shield grab a fox or marth, quick uair is good, or it can be surprising.

I like uair because it actually is a good move to come in with, unlike fair. Nair is good but you have to jump forward... Bair, you have to be facing the other way... Dair is also good! : D How about cstick up and then down since you mentioned this?

Sure if I just bair and move forwards I could probably just hit em with my belly! But uair is so good.

I also like F-tilt because it stays out longer than Bair, but same length. Gotta know your options, or you will be shut down.

why not shield grab? in the event somebody has set them self up to jump away, or you're letting them jump away for said combos. Or to cut somebody off before they get in.

Why not just upB Oos shield if the grab won't connect? comes out faster, more range, and can be canceled/turned around to make it more safe. Also, backwards jump->forward cape works well on marths that like f-air->grab or f-air->d-tilt.

Thanks man. : D It was good meeting you too! : D Need to play again sometime.

When I said I like marth, I don't really like playing him... cuz, every character has something that can **** me if I don't be cautious... but I like him because, I dunno... I just know my way around him, I think... I mean I think I need to practice my DI more as well...

:ohwell: Welp, I tried everything I could think of to avoid that from happening, and guess what.... it happened anyway. It was even sweaty palms or cold feet this time. It was a bunch of other psychological bs.

But fear not Doc players, I'm workin' on all that. I got a great idea.

Anyways, the tourney was still hella entertaining. I like how there were like two other Dr Mario's that entered the tourney besides me: Dogy and $mac. Both of 'em ****. I always learn a lot from watchin' them both.

Oh and check this, I got to see the three of the matches I literally dreamed of seeing: $mac vs Dogy, VGmasta (me) vs Dogy, and RockCrock vs Dogy. I'm broke as hell ($0.52 to my name), and I spent $47 on everything for the tourney. But seeing just those three matches, seeing old and new faces, and officially meeting Dogy made the fees worth every pennny.

I think Imma give my other melee characters a break for awhile until I get some gauranteed stuff goin' for the character I actually play this game for.

CEO. T'was a good learning experience.

I'll cut out all the bs you probably don't care about and leave you with the important Doc news.

So, by way of fail, I had to play $mac in the epic Doc Dittos of manly proportions. And VGMasta Ricky can tell you first hand, it was a duel down to the end.

3 rounds of FD. Drag down, knockout, hardcore fighting. People getting tore out the frame.

In the end, both of us were lying on the ground while the ref counted to 10. But I managed to somehow grab the bottom rope and drag myself up to the top. ... $mac was doing the same, but i kicked his feet out from under him cause I'm a ******* like that.

__

That was a fun-as-hell set though, cause we literally did rock the **** outta each other.

Yeah, that kinda of crappy day for Doc in the sense that the two Docs that made it out (I didn't make it out:urg:) had to play each other like right away. I thought that was the most entertaining set of the tourney, real talk.

EDIT:
@ OTG: yeah $mac vs Dogy was a tournament match. It was good too.
