Dude, you can't have a hype-*** tournament and NOT have Waffles recording main TV. Maybe you can play second fiddle and record a **** ton of matches on a second Melee TV, but let's be honest; If it ain't Waffles, it ain't hype. One and done, that's it, doneski.

You can't usurp everyone.

In terms of Brawl, you probably would've been in there if you'd have quit your *****in' about being shafted at APEX and just showed commitment to supplying quality content. Whoring yourself out isn't going to make you more appealing, it's going to make you look whiny and selfimportant. Lose the drama queen status and just do work. No one gives two ****s if you get shafted if you act like a punk about it.

As long as videos go up, I don't care who uploads them! However, if I were to choose someone to upload I would lean towards Zant since he uploads quicker and his vids are less likely to have some corrupted s#!+ in the recording process!

I'm waiting on this major update boback mentioned a while back! I got questions and s#!+!

Zant would do a good job recording but brandon's gotta be the one on the main setup. Zant would probably get the videos up faster but they'll definitely get way more views on brandon's channel.

Well obviously the only point of recording is so that people can watch the set later. It doesn't matter who's channel it's on as long as people can find it. The thing is though, far fewer people will end up finding it if it's on a less known channel. And does that really matter? I guess not. The people who really follow the smash scene will find it regardless of what channel it's on. There's gonna be hundreds of great sets recorded at Genesis 2 though and it's simply more convenient to all the other less dedicated players to have the most hyped sets on the most popular channel. If you took one of the videos that was uploaded to brandon's channel and uploaded it to my channel instead for example, only around 1/10th as many people would end up watching it on average. Simply put, it wouldn't have as much exposure.

And yeah, none of this **** really matters I'm just ranting because I'm bored lol. The more people who record sets though, the better. I don't want any set that's hella good to go unrecorded.

Even if you aren't recording on the main setup for melee i hope that doesn't discourage you from recording other melee sets UKZ.

I was thinking, I could record everything on the main Melee setup, all day on all 3 days, and have Brandon jump in and commentate when he can. I'm sure a fair trade for his work would be to give him the files for stuff like crew battles, semis, finals, and maybe some other stuff he might want. I'd hate the trade, but it's fair. I'd do it, as painful for me as it is

See, this right here is what I don't like. You make a proposal of compromise then ***** about how much you'd hate to do it. There is literally no point in striking up a deal if your going to complain about it throughout. That's like if I let someone borrow a video game, then called them up every day and *****ed about missing the game and wanting it back.

Waffles is good for his subscription count (among other things), but I just don't like what it's turning into: People are uploading their work onto his channel. I'd hate to give up any of my work. I want my youtube fame

That's their choice to do so (unless I missed something). I seriously doubt Waffles would try to snatch up any of your **** if you recorded it on your setup. If you put in work, you get results, that simple. Don't try to push people out of your way just to get a bigger view count and an e-peen massage.

I don't know much about economics or anything, but wouldn't it be better for youtubers to have their videos on their channel? To help balance out the competition to be less of an oligopoly? Waffles is king, by like 3,300 subscribers. VideoGameBootCamp has like 2,200 now I believe and the next few best have 1,100 - 1,600 I believe. Competition, motivation for other youtubers to improve their youtubing, that **** I think I know but probably don't, right?

Why does subscription count even matter? The important thing is exposure, and so long as there is an advertisement somewhere, be it a thread or a promo video or whatever, the channel the video is hosted on is irrelevant. The only people who gives a **** about sub and view count are the uploaders themselves, but that has nothing to do with the content itself.
