Ugh, I need to keep up on smash boards so I don't have to re-find this thread every time Tony updates it. Anyway, my friend and I are hosting a smash tourney at CSU, Fort Collins on the 24th of April. It will be double elimination, no items, best 2/3...blah, blah, blah, standard rules. However, those of you who know me will be unsurprised to learn that it will be a SMASH N64 tournament.
Aside from your feelings on my choice of smash generations the the bad news will be that some fun laws make it so I can't give prizes to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. The flip-side, though, is that there is FREE entry. We should have 2 projectors for tournament playing N64, and I have secured at least one TV for friendlies. I don't care whether Melee or brawl are played on that, and will even be bringing a wii if I can secure one. For now I just have 2 N64s and a GC. I don't know who would be interested/able to get up here, but if you can or know someone who can, let me know.
I'll be talking this up more as the date gets closer, but I wanted you all to know. There should be a facebook event for this up sometime tomorrow, so if anyone wants to RSVP now while I have no max occupancy issues, I'd suggest doing that. I'll post again with more info once I get the event page set up. Thanks all.
p.s. Is there another thread I should post this on? Because I can't even tell if this is the tourney thread for CO anymore >.<

You ever been sitting around thinking about how you could FADC into Colossus? Or how every EFL tournament feels like Bloodsport live? We have and present the nastiest, meanest, roughest, toughest, dirtiest, most DESTRUCTIVE FADC into TOURNAMENT YET! YOU WANT A PIECE? DON'T GET COLOSSUS'ED, SON!

No joking on this one, be here by 12pm for tournaments or don't bother trying to sign up, brackets will have been built by then. Tournaments sometimes run over and NOT ALWAYS at the fault of the directors. If you have plans for the night at 5pm or 6pm and think you be in finals, don't bother signing up.

*Casual games will also be available for MvC2, HDR, TvC and Melty Blood. If any one of these games has enough interest, we may throw a tournament for it. LETTUCE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Why not subscribe to the thread? Or better yet, bookmark it? It'll always be in your User CP or bookmarks folder, depending on which one you use

Heh, thanks. Both things are useful information. Anyhow, I have the facebook event page designed now, so anyone who can make it should RSVP because I don't know how much room we're going to have. It's called "Super Smash Bros. N64 Tournament" so it should be easy enough to find. In the odd event that there's more than one event with that name, it's the one in Fort Collins. This coming from someone who only recently started playing melee. I know brawl would get more turnout, Dylan. Still, there isn't usually much opportunity to host for such an old game with such potential as at college. It's open to the campus and anyone else, so I'm teaming up with CS and ECE to get a larger turnout than I could ever get by just going on smashboards. In fact I've already got a decent amount of people RSVPing considering how long it's been out and that I haven't officially advertised to the campus yet. Still, I figured some people like Kenny might at least want to know and might be likely to attend if they could make it so I did the courtesy of posting my smash brothers tournament in Colorado on Colorado's smash brothers tournament thread.

COLORADO ASSEMBLE WE'RE GOING TO THIS
This time, bracket instead of round robin (that **** took foreverrrrrrr), and we'll do the full entry fee, so no poor johns. Probably only an official singles tourney this time, with a lulz doubles tourney / crew battle afterward (most likely free).
It's never too early to plan, so, who can volunteer a TV (if necessary) or Wii (probably necessary) to this?
