wow, what is this, took me a while to read all this.
@ Phoenix: There was a time when people used to hate me, because maybe in their eyes i was geeky i guess, and maybe i because i used a little weak minded, i think. What i did was become their friend and gain their trust...
Sharing time and laughts with people is a good way to do that.
@ Skyler: I was telling to TKD the other day, that the brawl balance was OK, compared to MvC2. I used to beat top players from tijuana with low tiers. I remenber speending sometime thinking how to beat a **** Sentinel with Jill, Megaman and Guile. Still most of the time i used to losse a little to much
Me, TKD and Soid we didnt started being good. we lost many time, we practiced a lot, we talked about smash, we did eveything together for a good time. there was some hard time when some of us used to think that quiting wont be a bad idea. But we never give up the game that brought us together. When you give up something, you just don't give up the game.
To tell you the truth i wasnt even good at fighting games, i just remenber getting my asskick so constanlty, but i never giving up. And everyone that have played this games call smash, can tell you the same thing.

@ Bone: Tommy as in "Green, White, Red" Tommy? I know he starred in one of the later shows as "Dr. O", but that was a couple years ago. Strange. I know the yellow ranger died, the black ranger had a failed acting career starring in Space Cases on Nickelodeon, the red ranger was accused of doing gay porn, and the pink one became a sucessful actress...man, I haven't thought of the Power Rangers in YEARS.

EDIT: On a related note, didn't the guy who used to play Screech on saved by the bell do gay porn? I remember hearing something like that not that long ago. Even though SBTB was aired waaaay before I was born (I think) hearing that dude starred in gay porn made me lol.

Trillian has a method. Just add the server irc.quakenet.org as an identity or something like that. There's also an add-on for Firefox called Chatzilla. I prefer the latter, although I still muchly prefer mIRC.
If you don't mind looking at other servers for maybe a java client, there's dynastynet.net (click for the java applet). I don't think they mind, as long as you don't flood other channels and piss everyone else off. Besides, it's a much smaller server so people can actually /list all the channels and not have to sit there for an hour to find ours.
Do you already have a name for the channel in mind? Is it just gonna be socal related, or are you gonna use something random like #handsoffmybread or #ifightformyfriends?

@ Jagger: For the channel name I was going to use, #SanDiegoSmash since it ties in so well to our blog (sdsmash.wordpress.com) and youtube channel (www.youtube.com/sandiegosmash) and our e-mail address (sdsmash@gmail.com). Consistency. Maybe if I could embed an applet directly onto the blog that'd solve my problems for getting people into the channel. I'll probably just run mIRC for myself personally.

@ Havok: I'm not sure about Akuma, either. Funny how Viper climbed from the near bottom to the top. Zangief could somehow, mysteriously, drop to the very bottom and he'd STILL be the man!

Dear Diary,
Sigh! It's been a while. And while I know I haven't been very good about writing in you lately, I feel that the events of the past week stirred me enough to warrant another write.
I've been out of the smashing loop since July, and since then I haven't missed much. With school johns, financial emosies, and all sorts of other drama-llama stuff better left in high school, I hadn't had too much time to think of smash, aside from the fact that I miss everybody terribly.
But that's not why I'm writing in you, diary, it's about something else.
As you're well aware, there has been a very special companion in my life with me for the past few years, someone who rarely ever lets me down, who never fails to make me feel special. He's been the light of my life, and has taken me to all sorts of places and introduced me to many of his friends; friends that I will cherish forever. He has truly turned me into a better person.
I can never quite describe the feeling he gives me each time we get started, it's wonderful. And it will always be wonderful, we promised each other.
Or so I thought.
About this time last year, I met somebody else who also made me feel worth my weight (all sixty-seven pounds of it) in gold; this person was truly someone special. He was so robust and adorable and, maybe more than anything else, made me reconsider what love is.
But that's just it. I couldn't decide where to put my heart. They were both so wonderful, amazing even. How could I choose? They were both so adorable!
But Diary, I'm here to tell you that after many months of pain and anguish, I've finally made a decision of who I love more. I have a confession to make, I'm just dying to scream it to the world and you're the only one who can hear my cry. You're the only who'd understand any of it, diary.
Diary, I choose Brawl.
