No not really. When someone calls a person a tryhard, they're usually referring to their playstyle. If you see someone in a public game that breaks out their Lightweight UMP, dropshots around every corner, and essentially just tries their heart out every game, they would be considered a tryhard.http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20091209163051AAc7WzD

Delta called me that because I take the game a bit too seriously. I ragequit often and complain if I get killed in a stupid way.

For example, people who use the UMP silenced and try to drop shot everyone they meet are considered 'tryhards' because they're using the best SMG in MW2.

How old are you Roach? They're just doing this to get a rise out of you, and they'll keep doing it the more you respond to it. If you just ignore it or better yet play along, they won't keep doing it.
roach is 14. It's a real shame though because it makes playing with him more fun. He's quiet often and doesn't communicate at all. He comes out of his shell if we scream at him to shoot down a UAV or something.

The term "Tryhard" is absolutely ridiculous. Using what the game has to your advantage and enjoying winning a game (Which is basically the point of a game like this) shouldn't be considered an insult.
Straight up, if I get called a tryhard because I like winning and doing well in a game, I take it as a compliment. I don't care what you're trying to do in the game, but I'm coming to dominate.

Me. I just sigh and switch to my anti-air class and take out the air support. It baffles me each time an enemy harrier gets like 4-5 kills. I guess that most players do not have a stinger equipped class waiting for cases like those.

...I don't remember saying that... BUT IT'S PROBABLY TRUE. I can never decide which LMG to use, RPD is pretty sexy, MG4 is another one of my favorites, and the M240 is also nice. Descisions, descisions..

As long as it's not the L86. Though I hear the AUGBAR is decent too. MG4 is my fav, and I HATE LMGs.

This is what I'm using, and is strictly opinion.
MG4 w/Thermal (atm FMJ too, bling).
G18 Akimbo (w/silencer, bling)
SoH/Bling
SP/CB (gametype really)
Steady Aim (almost a must. Hip fire is BAD with the LMG. Bullets go to Utah and Sweden it's so bad)
I suggest/recommend thermal with the lovely MG4 because it's got the least recoil of LMGs. Combine that with a scope you can hold your breath with... Good times.
Don't take this as YOU MUST DO THIS. Just my humble opinion.

I've seemed to adapt to OMA on any LMG class. Mainly because I made 3 separate RPD classes since it's my favorite gun in the game.
One with SP, one with Hardline, and one with Cold Blooded.
I guess I should get Danger Close pro so I can make a 4th class with Danger Close so I can get my AC130 quicker and better.
But that's just when I wanna be a try hard.
Get 5 kills with the SP RPD class, switch to Hardline class, get 1 kill, switch to the DC class, call in harriers, either go to coldblooded to go hide until it gets my kills or stay at the DC class until it get my kills, get my AC130, switch to the DC class if I'm not already there, then proceed to get monay.

Alright, I finally have a 1 K/D ratio. I'm also 3 levels away from my 2nd prestige but I'll likely wait until I get a nuke (hopefully, I'll have gotten it by that time).
One mistake I always seem to make is that I forget to switch my class when I get CG to my Danger Close Pro class for the extra support. That and my below average skills with the CG are the only things I need to improve/remember for next time.
