Whenever I play this game at one of my friend's house, I just try to play the entire game with a shotgun. Does anyone know of any good shotgun sets?

Ninja / Steady Aim

Marathon
Lightweight
Steady Aim
Stuns and Semtex

Much more offensive than mad's suggestion and you'll probably die loads, but it's crazy fun to use.

Oh, and GGs Icy and 0DIN.

Nonsense. I've gotten plenty of long-range (for a shotgun) kills with a bit of hipfiring. I only get hitmarkers with a dead-on shot occasionally, and I've died for it a lot less.

At first it was temporary until I got the Claymore, but as I used it more I found it liked it quite a lot, so I kept it on. Makes for epic killcams.

I use the throwing knife because it's reusable without Scavenger. I generally don't miss with it, and it saves me bullets. I only use it on my anti-air class.

And if you're not getting hit markers with the SPAS-12 without Stopping Power, you're not using it to its full range.

I hate to say this, but I'm actually trying to get into a challenge lobby, whether it be accidental or not. At first I thought it was a stupid idea and that titles, emblems, and camos would give me something to play for, but in reality, I hate playing because of those things.

All I try to do is get headshots, which is so annoying and not the least bit of fun. Getting a kill that isn't a headshot with a weapon is useless to me, and I just want to play the game for good scores instead of headshots or using ridiculous setups for an emblem. I'm assuming I'll get put into one accidentally after a while, but that could take ages. Until then, I guess I'll just keep going for headshots.

Thank you. **** lightweight and cold-blooded on the spas. It NEEDS STOPPING POWER. So many ****ing hitmarkers, it's ridiculous. Point blank shot to the back, literally right behind them, hitmarker. They turn around and kill me. Sure.

I completely understand where you're coming from here. Getting all of the titles and emblems now just seems like the opposite of fun. I'm playing to get things that mean nothing, when all I want to do is get better. If I just had all of the attachments and stuff like that, I could just relax and play. Headshot grinding in HC TDM is ridiculous and boring.

People need Stopping Power on the SPAS?

I've never used Stopping Power on it, ever. My old SPAS class was:

SMG
Spas @ Extended Mags
Stuns/Semtex
Marathon
Lightweight
Ninja

I got more hitmarkers at point blank range than AT range, and that was only when I was trying to be sneaky and get a headshot at point blank.

Stopping power makes it so that at close range, it only takes 2/8 of the buckshot to kill, instead of 3/8. At the longest range before it doesn't hit anything, it makes it take 4/8 of the buckshot to kill, instead of 5/8.

There are a lot of situations where it happens to me, but I don't use Shotguns outside of the AA-12 too often, so yeah.

I'd use the UMP45 just to have a backup thing.




EDIT: Can you call in a nuke during an AC130? I got mine on TDM on Ground War and I didn't know the game was over and as soon as I got my nuke, the game ended. Needless to say, I was sad

Honestly, the SPAS-12 literally doesn't need Stopping Power. Cuz with Lightweight + Marathon you should be able to run up close enough, then fire for the kill. S'not hard, guys.

Spas needs stopping power. It's one of my favorite guns to use and it's one of the only secondaries I use, so I know how it functions. I used this on my UMP LW Marathon class for a while, and I got so many hit markers I think I broke a controller. It's a noticeable difference, trust me. Akimbo rangers are the only shotguns I don't use stopping power on for obvious reasons.

SPAS has an absurd reload time. A common misconception is that you need to have Lightweight or Marathon to rush. Sleight of Hand compliments you in the long run. Lightweight gives you more hitmarkers meaning you waste more valuable shots.

Are you serious? All of us have disagreed in the past. It's just this one specific case.

SoH is just as Viable, it just depends on your playstyle. I feel that Marathon is better once you've unlocked extended mags. The last game I played before I turned my PS3 off, I got a Harrier, without reloading once, but died almost immediately after I got my Pave Low, because I didn't have SoH and got caught on the reload (Don't have extended mags yet.)

Both perks work, but just about every other perk is next to useless.

And just so you know, Serin, if I come off like that, it's generally because I go by fact, and not by opinion. If something is good on paper, I make it good in game. It's the reason I don't use the M16, and the M93 is pretty much the only secondary I use. I'm the biggest Tier ***** here, except maybe for Fletch.

But as long as you recognize that I'm never wrong, you're cool with me.
