You can't have a negative KDR given that you can't have negative deaths or kills. You can only have more deaths than kills.

I can help with any gun/equipment write-ups and any necessary stats.
Exactly what I need. That's the big part that I'm unfamiliar with, stats. I've played with every gun a fair amount, so I can give people the general information they need. But with a guide, I want people to know everything that makes me and others successful. I just feel like there are a lot of things I know that others are unaware of, and I want to help people improve their gameplay. You and I can both do this super guide if you want, I'm all for it. :bee: I have a friend with a capture card that I can use for videos if we would need them for anything. I play on xbox, but I think you're on PS3 if I'm not mistaken?

If I had to choose a K/D that I pretty much always achieve or get close to in games, it would be the 2.17 I'm at right now. I could up my defensive gameplay another notch, making my K/D much higher, but the UMP is my best friend, and with rushing comes lots of deaths. Defensive gameplay is so good but it gets absurdly boring after a while.

Edit: I'm thinking of making a CoD:hao2pley guide, but I don't know how I'd format it or anything. There's so much to talk about and other than doing gameplay/commentaries, I want to make some sort of guide. Good/bad idea? Suggestions?
In my opinion, I think that would be a pretty hard task, because the concept of "How to play COD" is a very vague subject. There are many ways to do well in this game, and there are many ways to play each gametype successfully.

However, if you need any help, I can do a writeup about Assault Rifles or Sniper Rifles pretty easily.

KDR is just kills divided by deaths. The only way to get a negative one is to glitch the leaderboards.

EDIT: Forgot to ask this earlier... Leafy, why don't you think the MP5k is a good gun? Can't manage the recoil?

.79 is a negative K/D, meaning you have more deaths than kills. I'd say anything under 1.20 is bad.
Oh wow, mine is 1.20.

My friend used to have a 0.94 K/D, until he ventured into a 10th prestige lobby (totally by accident though, I was with him). It glitched up his K/D to 2.80, and since then, it's been steadily decreasing.

It also made his W/L 3.60 and boosted his accuracy to 50% -_-

Didn't affect me though, thankfully.

I never said it was a bad gun, I said it was a bad gun at long range. I can manage recoil on the F2000 with relative ease, recoil is never an issue (L86 DOES NOT COUNT). I just think it's worse than the UMP, and I love the vector. I honestly have no idea why I put the P90 above the MP5K, as I have 0 kills with it, but I have <1500 kills with the MP5K.

At close range, the MP5K is a MONSTER.

I'm thinking of just going for something along the lines of general strategies, information on guns, equipment, etc. Basically anything that makes me a successful player will go in, and there's a lot of things I can talk about. Input from anyone is appreciated, especially because even I'm not familiar with absolutely everything in this game, just lots of it.

Fair enough, I think you could make an argument for it maybe only being 3rd best SMG, but certainly not even close to being as bad as the P90 or Uzi. Akimbo MP5k is so beast in CQC. IMO it is the best "true" SMG in the game, but the UMP is still a better gun.

Dang that UMP, eh?

Outclasses all the SMGs and even beats out the ARs.

Is the MP5K really that great? What's so good about it?

And I just played in an FFA lobby where everybody used an UMP. It was ****ing Estate, FFS

It has the fastest TTK out of all the automatics at close range. I've done a couple writeups on it if you want me to dig up my old posts. Honestly I think you'd see a lot more usage of it if it wasn't for the UMP.

Speaking of the UMP outclassing pretty much all the ARs, how **** would the UMP be with AR attachments. OMA/DC/UMP with Tube would be way too good.

You couldn't quit the game because the game would explode from the amount of tubes.
lolwut

Also, BKPro, I believe firemario of the Mario boards made a very classy looking interactive Mario guide on Youtube. Perhaps you could check that out to get an idea of what you want to do.

@ BKpro: Once you're done your guide, send it to me and I'll take a look at it and add it to the OP. :)

@ Serin: Yeah...well I mostly play with a full party of friends and we're pretty good as a team so we barely lose. Randoms make my blood pressure rise to dangerous levels.

My team of friends hate team based games and only go for Barebones Pro since staying alive doesn't matter as much.

Still, we all enjoy blowing each other to bits.

Alright, well I'm going to start on that guide as soon as I can. Thanks for the input so far, everyone. Right now from the looks of it, it's going to include the following: Guns, gun stats and helpful info (along with attachments), maps and strategies, general strategies (styles of play, to be specific), specific game mode info and strategies, perks, equipment, and killstreaks. If I left anything out or anyone would like to see something in the guide, please let me know! :)

Edit: I'll also be going over general things such as button layouts, drop shotting, sensitivity, etc.

I've been repping the F2000 in Search the past few days just to mess around with it. Actually, it is not that terrible. I have two F2000 Classes:

F2000 @ Holo
Akimbo G18s
Frag//Stuns
Marathon
Stopping Power
Ninja

F2000 @ Silencer
Silenced PP2000
Semtex//Stuns
Marathon
Cold Blooded
Ninja

I like the F2000 cause it has recoil like the G18s, which means it is so easy to manage by just rocking back slightly. I feel it is pretty weak overall, but for some reason I get kills with it well. The only thing I do not like are corner shots. If I shoot at someone when they go around the corner, I'm boned. Cause I tend to shoot the whole mag at them in this case. I wanna make sure this gun kills.

Overall though, I like it.

I love you. I usually use Marathon/Lightweight on it though, just so I can try to keep things close. I don't like Scavenger on my F2000 either. Gotta keep moving with the **** thing.

I've been pondering this for a while, and I was wondering if any of you could help clear this up for me.

Let's say I start out using a class with OMA and Lightweight and I place some claymores. Then I use OMA to switch to a different class that has Danger Close. Do the claymores that I have previously placed get the benefits of Danger Close?

Pretty sure they would, there aren't two different claymore types for whether you're using Danger Close or not. It's like how you can pick up a Blinged weapon and still get the benefits of Sleight of Hand which you have.

Oh, and BKPro! Big important request here. If you're gonna' use music, make it some actual good tracks, not stuff like Let The Bodies Hit the Floor (because that's crazy overused).

Haha, don't worry about that, I have good music. I think I'm going to post a video for every part of the guide, just because I want people to understand what I'm talking about. I'm actually about a quarter of the way done right now, decided to get goin early.

Cutting to the chase, BKP? I approve. :bee:

Does anyone here actually play Team Deathmatch Express as opposed to the regular one? I can't really see the benefits of having extra time between games (though I arguably have more reason to want more matches though).

I never play Team Deathmatch because it's bad. Way too easy, F8AL and Nate and I played today and I was consistently going 32-2-4, 26-0-1, 29-3-5, things like that. I back out of every lobby so it wouldn't matter to me.

I play TDM express. I hate waiting 40 seconds to play another game. The only reason I'd play regular TDM is to have more time to trash talk to the other team.

Yeah, I always use TDMe compared to TDM. I'm not gonna be changing around my classes much, but if I do, I always do it within the allotted 30 secs.

Hey, why do people get ticked off at drop-shotters? One of my friends absolutely hates drop-shotters and he goes ballistic whenever one kills him.

TDM express was pretty funny though. Especially when that kid is spamming the RPG the whole time and Alex tells him he's gonna start using OMA and the kid is like "I gotta go".

lol yeah that was pretty funny.

Alex: Everyone use a danger close class!
RPG kid: lol okay fine I don't care.
-5 seconds before the game starts-
RPG kid: Oh, my friend wants to play with me so I'm going to go now.
-exits-

He RPG'd me in Final Stand. ;___;

I like how Tim complains about the spawn system when we play TDM and I suggest a different gametype.
