I'll bring it up on the Lucas thread and see what people think we could trade off. Is it possible to change the range of absorption?
Really though...I don't see any point in making the magnet's hitbox bigger...Lucas doesn't really have any issues with killing in Brawl+ overall still IMO

Really if you are going to change Lucas...give him the same buff to PKT2's smaller hitboxes like you did with Ness so he can stop crashing on the ledge...

Help?

Everytime I try and download the new Nightly, I get a codeset unlike what is being discussed. Ness has no PSI magnet changes, LM is still Deadlands, and I can't select Wifi Practice stage no matter what.
Sorry for the 3rd repost here. No one can help me?

Is their another location I can ask?

It would be a unique move for Lucas, one that is slow but covers a large area in front of him. If they made the hitbox linger somehow that would make it even cooler as you could psi dash backwards and they would get hit by the lingering hitbox.

Has anyone else had issues with Mario? My friend and I were playing a few friendlies, and his Mario occasionally froze when he tried to move. It happened after being hit, particularly, and after rebooting, it stopped. Anyone else have similar issues, or is ours just wierd?

Earlier versions of Gecko had a line limit of 256 lines. Make sure you're using Gecko 1.9 and you have gameconfig.txt in the right place. Check out the premade SD card packages on the BrawlPlus web site if you are having trouble with that.

Its the reappareance of the idle animation bug. Its a known issue of reaching a limit in the frame speed code which will be addressed with the new engine codes. Apologies for it now :-\

Is it possible to give Link his shield-block while walking? (That shield thing that blocks projectiles) It would make sense if he (And Toon Link) had that while walking since their shield is still in front of them. They could make a slow advancement while say their opponent spams lasers or something.

I saw right now,now with Fox 7% Utilt,he cant break Snake Up-b Super Armor. So,you guys can adjust his Utilt to break the Super Armor with 7%,without edit the dmg.
Its not THAT BIG DEAL,its just ocasionally when you Utilt him off stage to connect a Bair or Uair. :X

The reason attacks that appeared to do 7% before broke snake's upB was because attacks in brawl did fractional damage, and anything passed the decimal point was simply truncated. You need to do more than 7% damage in order to hit snake out of his upB. Since a fresh move that does 7% would actually be doing 7x1.05= 7.35 damage, moves that did 7% would break it. In brawl+, in removing stale moves, we also removed the fresh bonus, so a move that does 7% is actually doing 7%.

So...there is no way to make his Utilt to break Snake Up-B again without incrassing the dmg?

Has the Brawl+ team considered using the water flail = drown code that bBrawl is using? I've been experimenting with that in Brawl+, and I like it. It's one of the few things that I actually like from bBrawl.
It completely stops water camping (and those occasional minute-long water fights), but still allows you to go out and hit your opponent given that you don't have much damage (so it doesn't completely remove the ability to go out there). It's funny being actually afraid of the water, for once, since I'm so used to seeing everyone camp it... And despite what the bBrawl people say, it's possible to survive even if you touch the water with at least 90% (albeit pretty hard). I haven't done specific damage testing or anything, but from just playing casually, I've hit the water at 110% with Samus and was still able to jump out without dying.
The flail=drown mechanic makes Pirate Ship a decent counterpick (even more so if Pirate Ship is reversed, which is what I currently have it as).

Flail = drown hurts some characters quite considerably though, such as Ganondorf, it turns what is (or might be) a good CP for a character into a bad CP and makes the water stages have larger death boundaries than normal stages (meaning, no chance of survival) as once you're knocked into the water, before you can even resurface you die.

Why don't we make all water like Hanenbow's? Just remove the **** mechanic :/

I wasn't even paying attention to the recent stuff but apparently the Mansion is back. Why change something that nobody complained about? It was quite unique. A huge FD clone with easy stage spikes thanks to the bottom of Luigi's Mansion and two plats in the middle..it was perfect. *sigh* What a huge step back..

The water is beneficial to specific characters which is why Delfino (and sometimes Pirate Ship) can be considered a CP. As it is, at least for the most part...water camping is extremely limited and isn't that smart in most situations so it really wouldn't change much. The water is on a timer (Delfino) so it's not like it's anything out of hand.

Small problem my friend found in this build, probably known but still.

Charizard doesn't really have any sort of standing animation. Is this intentional/known? What's the deal? Does anyone know?

EDIT: apparently, when holding shield, it goes in and out, as if the button is being tapped repeatedly. Is this a B+ thing, or just a controller problem?

I can't believe we are even considering the return of the mansion. Bringing back the mansion does nothing but revives a gimmicky element which has no place in Brawl+, nor any competitive set. Luigi's mansion itself is not viable enough to be regarded as a counter pick, which is why it is placed under the banned/counter-pick area in the rule set.

In Brawl+, where the main goal is to revamp the competitiveness of Brawl, bringing back or even promoting any aspect of the mansion really goes against our main purpose; especially at the loss of viable neutral (Deadlands).

I think the WBR should rethink the removal of Deadlands, and rethink the idea of bringing back Luigi's Mansion's original elements. If anything, I would give the option to choose from Deadlands and Luigi's Mansion via a button press or seperate icon.
TL;DR
Bring back Deadlands. And keep the sandbag in the waiting room. It adds such a unique flavor to a boring room. It protects you from projectiles, in an otherwise "campy" stage. It will be a unique and important counter pick especially against Falcos.

I agree. Deadlands was awesom, and the sandbag makes the waiting room way cooler than before.

And having a falco counterpick stage is pretty awesome.

Lol. I believe any stage with platforms is a Falco CP. For me at least. Marth and Mario love Falcon on platforms.

Wifi with the bag is even better because now they can combo falco to hell with no chance of DIing and teching onto platforms. ;D

More than you know, brother. More than you know v-v.

It adds originality to the stage, so as much as it frustrates me to play on that stage now, keep it. I have a ban for a reason :).

(I <3 platform stages. I do better on BF than FD/Japes)

I tried a while back but no one wanted too
its funny how out of the entire back room only you share with me the same view on how this game should be. why does nobody listen to you?

We wont be seeing you progress very far in B+ tourneys then. :V
oh, so its a tourney set now? because last i checked this was a nightly build, and nightly builds aren't recommended for competitive play. or are you editing that rule too?

edit: i'm trying out the manual L Canceling code. anything i should know?

To be honest, I'm starting to not hate the sandbag as much as I used to. Before it, Wifi really was just a slightly larger FD clone. It still had lipped edges, but the blast lines were a good bit farther away, and FD already has pretty distant blast lines. Sandbag does indeed prevent projectile camping at least a little bit, and the issue of hiding behind it and negating all approaches just doesn't really happen all that much or that easily. I'm starting to think it's an interesting mechanic that fits the waiting room, not some giant matchup-changer that destroys the game.

I mean really, think of all the changes we've made so far. Freezing stages, speeding up characters, changing the physics of the game itself, reorganizing the select screens...I don't think anyone at this point has the right to tell other people how the game "should be".

Except for Deadlands, that needs to come back. No reason to throw neutral stages into counterpick/ban territory again.
