I want to do a small guide where I compare the frame data to all ground attacks, to Falcos. That way we know what beats what in speed. I know it won't be too useful, but I've always wanted a reference of some sort.

Like a "falcoattack" is faster than a "enemyattack" guide.
All ground attacks?
I don't even think all boards have their frame data

Thanks. I play with default controls. So basically it's just tap up on the control stick and then up on the C-stick really fast?

Hi!

Im picking up falco to help with the DDD matchup (**** you penguin...) and was wondering what I should learn?

I learnt SHDL (the real one, not the one where the lasers go over their head)

Changrab to spike

Boosted up smash.


Also if anybody has any tips for DDD would be appreciated.

Instant Aerial Phantasm. There's a thread about it, but you jump, then do side-b right as you're off the ground.
It helps for running away and camp game.
Thanks... And what about that thing where he does a dash attack into an up smash. Is that just pressing Up smash right after dash attack?

boost smash has the same input as dash attack into up smash, only with the second variant you wait some more between the da and usmash, and you let the DA hit.

IAP is sideB as soon as you leave the ground (if you do it right falcos feet are through the ground)

Yup, thats how you do it.
you can also tap up then press A really quick.

You can also c-stick down into c-stick up while running, if you hit with the dash attack you will do the upsmash. I like this method over the boost smash one because you won't mess up and do a boost smash by accident.

By performing the IAP perfectly (meaning as low to the ground as possible, but still off the ground) the duration of the phantasm will be shorter. The comparison of the 2 in frames is about 7. So the IAP will be 7 frames shorter than the normal phantasm.The best benefit of the IAP though is that you have less cool down lag compared to the normal phantasm.

Lately Snake's F-tilt has been pissing me off lately. Usually I shield the F-tilts and the follow up with either a F-tilt of my own to keep spacing (given you are out of grab range) or rolling away from the Snake player.

Are there any options you guys exploit to deal with Snake F-tilts?

You can tap DI behind him after a Ftilt and punish immediately, but that's pretty inhuman.

Overall Ftilt is pretty much unpunishable, try a jab if you're feeling lucky.

You jump and sideB almost at the same time, so you cancel most of the height of the jump with sideB, replacing the ending lag with landing lag. If you do it right your feet will be sticking through the floor.

Also I'm VERY new to the Falco boards (just started going here today) because I'm used to the Toon Link boards but I wanna backup Falco and I need to get better with him, can you please send me the link to the matchup charts against the characters ya have went over.

Doesn't look like crimson to me...

And neither is particularly easy to read, but it's worse when you go between the two. You might want to consider another color entirely, but if you don't, just stick with one.

The easiest one to read is the one with proper spelling and knows how to search.:mad: Srsly. Control + F-ing "IAP" brings up nine results on this page (alternately, it's been asked thrice in this thread in the past day). Given that "IAP" is too short to search for, you have an excuse, but at least read stickies and not be a big meanie.

Just gotta say additionally that I think wario was 45:55 because of the chaingrab, and that Peach is now 60/40. Also kirby is 40/60 as conclusion out of the rediscussion. Pika is 35/65 and Sonic is 60/40. Also (I'm not sure) I think we had ness on 60/40 advantage, but that's open for rediscussion I think

The old link to Lucario vs. Falco in their boards. I made a post in their MU thread saying it's at least in Falco's favor, that, or to have a rediscussion.

Snake is 55-45. Cooked grenades, tilts, ducking under lasers, camping, and breaking out of chaingrabs early is just **** in one character.

Ike is 60-40 Falco's favor. Said from the Ike boards themselves.

tbh, I really wanna see why you guys think it's the other way around. Criteria, paper, stage stats, and practice (at least for me :p) says otherwise for the lucario MU.
But right now, I think the best bet is to talk on our export, as we really just need to get through all the MU's we haven't done yet on the boards (the MU thread itself has passed up management 4-5 times o.O).
Just curious.
