With the pools, I think everyone makes it out, as we generally do seeding based on rank, this way we get to do seeding based on pool performance.

I don't understand your reasoning, with pools, you get much more tournament experience in actual tournament matches instead of potentially just going 0-2 in bracket. You get more serious matches this way.

pools without cutting down numbers is basically just forcing people to play friendlies. I'd rather have just the bracket, or atleast have pools determine who makes it in to an 12 or 16player bracketer.
