Are you still in school/college? Maybe you can say that there's a presentation that you want to see at Rutgers that weekend and it'll be extra credit for one of your classes.

They are different levels of indecisiveness.

"probably going" is "I plan on attending and unless something else come up I should show."
"going" is "I've registered!"
unless your delta and live right teh the venue and don't register.
