Moving on, I personally have absolutely no claim or stake in whether or not it is banned or not. I'm not entering anything, and even if I were to enter melee, my third best are ICs. XD

Edit: You also failed to quote the section where I quite clearly state that no rules are going to be changed, as players from overseas have already confirmed travel. Unless something entirely catastrophic occurs to the metagame (Game breaking glitches, or effects.) nothing will be altered.

You are not Alex Strife and you are not in charge of the rules. It's not your place to declare what will and will not change at this tourney. Some of the rules have already been change since the creation of this thread.

Although Alex has the final say on the rules, Diem is a major part of the Apex staff so what he is saying he has every right to.

Again, you should know your target audience. Alex, Cristin, Chibo and I decided on the rules for everything smash related together. They all support the same claims as I, I'm just the one who is brunting the weight of the .01% of the community who will be upset by it. As for the creation of the thread, it clearly isn't the same as the official rules which are posted on our site (www.apexsmash.com) and advertised AS the official rules.

If you have any further questions on the matter, please PM me, as you're deterring from the thread's goal of HYPE BUILDING!

Considering the poor state of things in how our content is produced and managed, including videos, tournaments, and streams, I'm not surprised if it is a foreign custom to some here. One of Apex's goal is to step the bar up so far, that no other tournament will ever be allowed to be sub standard again.

We've bought big shoes, and we're going to adequately fill them.

@hylian sorry you do not want to enter Melee because of wobbling being banned but I just do not understand why you would not enter due to it. That is just me I guess since I enter to enjoy myself.

It's just a personal thing. I won't enter brawl event's that ban MK either. I don't play IC's in melee and I don't play MK in brawl, I just don't believe supporting things I think are unfair to others. I can play melee friendlies if I want to play melee.

I can respect this. I host Brawl + Melee tournaments and I will never be banning Meta Knight, nor Wobbling. Their brokenness remains to be seen after 4/6 years of being in existence.

I do think that the actual Ice Climber players that matter (read: Fly Amanita, Wobbles) place almost exactly the same at tourneys regardless of Wobbling's legality, so I don't find its banning as effectively unfair as Meta Knight's (an entire ****ing character).

Does that mean even if a poll asked to keep wobbling legal your stance on this wouldn't change?
