In the rain.
Another good reason to not ban MK at this event is the fact that he's considered broken (by some) in NA, but regions like EU and Japan don't have a problem with him and (AFAIK) are generally anti-ban. So having all 3 regions at 1 tournament allows us to glean at least some data that gives some weight to one of the following possibilities.

1) The reason MK isn't broken in EU and Japan is because they don't know how to use MK properly. If they did, they'd want him banned too.
2) The reason MK isn't broken in EU and Japan is because they know how to deal with MK and NA doesn't. If NA did, we wouldn't want him banned and he wouldn't be so successful.

In other words, "EU and Japan suck" vs "Get better scrub"

Edit: Of course, this applies to anti-ban regions other than EU and Japan as well.

None of that really takes away from my point tho.

Make a decision and stick to it, and dont make double standards was the main point of my post.
No, this kind of thinking is wrong. Not all decision should be stuck to. Some are bad and others aren't. The only sensible way to change or not change decisions is to evaluate them on a case by case bases.

To say that rule A shouldn't be change because another rule B (the rule you dislike) isn't changed, is incredibly immature and childish.

And once a decision has been made for each specific case, that decision should be stuck to. If people changed their decisions every time they met opposition, nothing would ever get accomplished.

I hope you realised that a lot of times, presidents are chosen based on who is more consistent. Theres a reason the terms flip-flop and wishy-washy have such negative connotations to them.

btw, this is fun. I hope youre this good at debating in person.
There won't be pools for any doubles events, just straight bracket.
AWWWWWW SNAP.

Dat shi cray.

Everybody gettin all butthurt about singles pools when they should be worrying about how 2/3rds of the tournament aint even gonna get to play more than 3 doubles sets. lol

Well mine did register recently, but he just put N/A as his teammate too. Going to get it straightened out soon. I'm sure there are other teams like that as well.

Can someone tell me if this is right? $10 to go and just chill, $55 to enter 1v1 Brawl and pay venue? lol Going either way just seeing if entering is worth it.

Just follow the grime...

You. Are dumb. Sorry. But anyone who doesn't understand that the legalization of Brinstar and Rainbow Cruise here (as well as other CPs), in comparison to all neutral stages is a huge factor in MK's "brokenness" is blind.

Him getting a free win vs 90% of the cast is silly. If you look at the recent japanese tourney using apex ruleset (was like a month ago) or even the doubles tourney that was even more recent over there, (also using apex ruleset) suddenly MK becomes significantly more prevalent. This is not a coincidence. They didn't even have rainbow or brin, but the mere introduction of CPs shows that MK gets way better than if the game is played solely on neutrals.

I'm anti mk ban, but pro brin/rc ban for this reason. Another reason I am really hyped for this tourney, I loveeee the ruleset. <3

It is a bit excessive. =/

Just got a $50 visa card for christmas, and I can't even register yet because entrance is $5 more. -__-

Nice Roller and Kid.

To add onto what Roller said, Rain usually loses to Nietono all the time but he beat Nietono with Apex rules. MK vs Olimar of course.

Also Rain is really good. Can't wait to see him destroy people cause they think he's *** now for some reason.

:urg: That's disappointing. I hope Nietono learns the stages before Apex.

Who's in charge of the "Fantasy Trips" (NYC/NJ Tour) for Out-Of-Country attendants? I really want to ask him/her a couple of questions.

Thanks! :)
