We have lost a lot of MD/VA power. At least 20-25 extremely talented and smart Melee players did not accept Brawl and therefore a lot of our power was reduced. Metaknight's (Omni, Forte, Korn, Lucky)
We've got to step it up. We can better. We need to master the match-ups in regards to dittos and any weaknesses that we have. What are your worst match-ups? We gotta' work on them!

DDD's (Omni, Korn, EE, Hat, Turbogiliman)
Again, we can be far more superior with DDD than we are now. There's no reason that we cannot reach Atomsk/Seibrik level.

Snakes (Candy, Greg, Tantalus, Jayo)
MD/VA is already really good against Snakes thanks to you guys and Chillin. We need more out of you guys. More consistency, more tactics, and a stronger aura in general.

Falcos (GIMR, Okin, ???)
We don't have many Falcos. Who are our mains? Let yourself be known and master your match-ups

Diddys (Esoj, Deez, Thumbs)
We really need you guys to step your game up. NL and ADHD are amazing Diddy's and there is no reason why you guys can't do the same. Watch their videos and study what makes them so great and implement it into your game and evolve it. You guys are essential to making MD/VA stronger. Esoj, I know you can step it up. Deez, I haven't seen you around. Thumbs, it would great to have you back. I see a lot in you.

Kirby's (Chu, Hat, Poyo)
You guys are awesome. MD/VA aren't losing to any Kirby's ever.

ROB's (Jcaesar, Tantalus, Knacker??, OathMeal)
Like before, you guys can step it up as well. I wanna' see more ROB's higher up in the tournament placings here in MD/VA. 'Till this day, Knacker has always scared me with his insanely good ROB and he was the last ROB to place really well in tournaments.

I can go on, but you guys get the point. We can evolve. Discuss what you think is limiting you so we can destroy those barriers. Those of you with the same main should stick together and help improve each other. STICK TO YOUR MAINS. It's fun bs'ing and using other characters, but find your MAIN and stick with them. I now forbid MD/VA to use their secondaries unless their secondaries are good enough to get Top 5 in tournament.

Atomsk will be at my tournament. I don't want him to win (no offense Atomsk, I'm just trying to motivate MD/VA xD). Rookie will also be there but he's a fox player. He's real good and maybe reached fox's full potential but I don't see him placing top 7 here, maybe not even top 10.

I'll be practicing tonight with Esoj, Candy, Gonzo, and possibly Azen. Boss hit me up if u want me to come and pick u up. If you can, try and reach Korn. We could use Metaknight practice.

Hova - Just out of curiosity, why didn't you mention me in your rant? Do you think I've reached my full potential? Kirby does have problems with certain characters, so I guess I'm going to have to learn how to use my copy ability and give my self more options and more opportunity to grow.

I discovered a new move last night. Final cutter. LOLZ

NinjaLink Advice against ZZS:

Pressure her into shield and get close to her. She has BAD OOS options(SLow grab, and no sex kick) only attacking options OOS are either jab or u-tilit.

So if you get behind her shield she can only, spot dodge, roll, or U-tilt OOS shield.


MOST ZZS players spotdodge. Wait for the spot dodge and punish it.

This is how he beat Snakeee, he'd keep pressuring him and waited for him to spotdodge

I can't get in. Even when I do, I can only hit the b**** like 2 times then she goes back to spacing and camping. ZSS just out ranges Kirby so she wins the match up if you look at it in simple terms. You gave me a constructive idea though, if all ZSS can do OOS is jab and uptilt, all I really have to do is shield in front of her and just wait to see what she does (although I can see this easily countered by jumping out of the way and space a back air or forward B.) I don't think shielding behind her would do anything since she'll just jump and bair quickly OOS. I've tried everything but sucking in her power and Final Cutter. I wish Snakeee would spot dodge because if you haven't noticed, I severely punish spot dodges, air dodges, and rolls. Ask Kanacker, he'll be able to tell you more about that LOLZ

chu, kirby is really good but there are a few matches where he's extremely limited, and overall it doesn't seem like you're coming up with that much new ****. if you're serious about stepping it up in brawl, i really think you need a legit secondary.

Well I played Dazwa in a friendly and almost 2-stocked with Kirby, he came back in the end, but I still had the upper hand most of the match. Hew wasn't sandbagging either.

I played super aggressive and just ran toward him and short hopped or I'd shield. If I short hopped and he side B'd I air dodged through it and he'd have to shield or I'd up-tilt him. Since he was in the shield he had to roll or spot dodge.

I know your better than me Kirby so I dunno how it worked lol

Oh yeah, Pick up MK for matches Kirby sucks with, I mean, that's the easiest solution. I know your style is to pick a character that's good and no one uses and MAKE that character who it is so people copy off of you(IceClimbers in Melee), but this is about money, pick MK when you need to and win, :)

It's pretty sad that it's always been unanimously agreed upon that MK is the best character in Brawl, while no one can agree on who is the best character in Melee even after 8 years.

chu play ice climbers again al teach u cging. its still kinda a b itch to get in on zss, but if you land a grab their pretty much garenteed dead. I know ur really good at grabbing and being inside its like perfect if u play them again.

Boss randomly use MK at tourneys and win all the time and get enough money to buy a wii

then go back to mario/luigi once you have the wii to practice
