NJ and NY wrecked us. They showed us just how dominant they were at BTYF. The truth is that we are behind. Far behind. We have crazy talent and potential here but none of that matters if we don't begin to release and expose that drive.

We have lost a lot of MD/VA power. At least 20-25 extremely talented and smart Melee players did not accept Brawl and therefore a lot of our power was reduced. The only 2 non-melee powerhouses that have entered the scene are Forte and Candy. This is not to say the rest of you guys are inefficient; however, I believe there is PLENTY of room for potential.

We have got to step it up. No more being content with 7th, 9th, and 13th place. The best will always reach for the top and that burning desire will fuel the energy needed to create a better you. I really see a lot of potential in all of you and think you guys can improve tenfold. The same goes for me because I am no exception to the rule.

Metaknight's (Omni, Forte, Korn, Lucky)
We've got to step it up. We can better. We need to master the match-ups in regards to dittos and any weaknesses that we have. What are your worst match-ups? We gotta' work on them!

DDD's (Omni, Korn, EE, Hat, Turbogiliman)
Again, we can be far more superior with DDD than we are now. There's no reason that we cannot reach Atomsk/Seibrik level.

Snakes (Candy, Greg, Tantalus, Jayo)
MD/VA is already really good against Snakes thanks to you guys and Chillin. We need more out of you guys. More consistency, more tactics, and a stronger aura in general.

Falcos (GIMR, Okin, ???)
We don't have many Falcos. Who are our mains? Let yourself be known and master your match-ups

Diddys (Esoj, Deez, Thumbs)
We really need you guys to step your game up. NL and ADHD are amazing Diddy's and there is no reason why you guys can't do the same. Watch their videos and study what makes them so great and implement it into your game and evolve it. You guys are essential to making MD/VA stronger. Esoj, I know you can step it up. Deez, I haven't seen you around. Thumbs, it would great to have you back. I see a lot in you.

Kirby's (Chu, Hat, Poyo)
You guys are awesome. MD/VA aren't losing to any Kirby's ever.

ROB's (Jcaesar, Tantalus, Knacker??, OathMeal)
Like before, you guys can step it up as well. I wanna' see more ROB's higher up in the tournament placings here in MD/VA. 'Till this day, Knacker has always scared me with his insanely good ROB and he was the last ROB to place really well in tournaments.

I can go on, but you guys get the point. We can evolve. Discuss what you think is limiting you so we can destroy those barriers. Those of you with the same main should stick together and help improve each other. STICK TO YOUR MAINS. It's fun bs'ing and using other characters, but find your MAIN and stick with them. I now forbid MD/VA to use their secondaries unless their secondaries are good enough to get Top 5 in tournament.

I main peach now, I got a lot of work to do but I def. have the most technical peach that I've ever seen at least. I'd really like to practice against your MK cause I def. don't have enough practice with that match-up.

Meanwhile, I keep using different characters in tourney, while R.O.B. still ends up being my best in singles for some reason. I've used Lucario, Fox, R.O.B., Snake, Metaknight and G&W in the past 3 weeks in tourney for singles, while i've done pretty much nothing but MK for teams.

we may have been headed in the right direction for brawl even after that, but you hate brawl now, knacker dropped off the face of the earth, forte stopped playing singles, lukky almost never shows up to tournies and no one is really sure what is going on with Azen

of the people left who still play the game i don't see much potential, at least not enough to take down players like Atomsk and ADHD on a consistent basis

we definitely have a few who could compete like omni, candy and possibly meep, but it's lookin a little bleek

if you came back and got serious and maybe brought smart players like Travis and Plank in the mix then maybe i would be excited, but no one has really proven themselves to have the drive or talent to get it done

i'd place faith in maybe Hat and Kadaj to really step it up and be amazing, but that's where it stops

yea ill admit that playing a lot when the game came out, mixed with my own natural talent propelled me to where i am at now. i come up with a new trick now and then but ive pretty much floated along since last summer in brawl, not really playing a lot and relying on my autopilot play to place where i do. playing jiggs 90% of the time for 6 months didnt really help either.

i know meep has the devotion, and if cooters are down i am down for some serious training. ive realized tourneys arent worth going to if we are just going to mediocre. id rather be a top tourney placer for 3-6 months and quit (i.e. KDJ), then be mediocre for 3-6 years (i.e. shinku ). ive devoted my focus solely back on snake so i can keep my tricks and tactics fresh in my mind for all my tourney matches.
