i am not doing as well as i had hoped for in brawl. im not sure why? anybody besides kirby feels awkard to me, but then my kirby is just not cutting it. im in a bit of a dilemma. hopefully eventually i'll get into the groove. i'll still be coming to these brawl events as soon as i get my moneez back.

Finch, let's look at the facts, bro. The during this past weekend there were tourneys for both games. Brawl had about 50 entrants with players coming from all across the state to play (POLMEX23 and his group). Many new players are popping up out of no where for Brawl and showing mad promise (shouts to Lee and Skell). Melee had a 12-man turnout with no one going who lived more than an hour or so away. There are pretty much no new faces popping up at Melee tourneys and even fewer are showing promise (I guess you're one of the very few, Finch; good job)...

Both games can coexist. In fact, I'd like them to do so, but posting this random hate just makes you look so foolish (POLMEX is hilarious).

It seems that it was a mere coincidence that nobody there played Melee, but everybody enjoys playing brawl, a new game, which is easy to get into.

At FAST1, there were 3 melee TV's, compared to the 9+ Brawl TV's. 3. Hungrybox held a melee tourney, and had 50+ people there. Why? Because the people there played melee.

So trying to say Melee isn't popular(which is what I believe your getting at), is just foolish.

And players aren't showing promise because a large percentage of brawl players have no interest in getting better at melee. Why, I don't know.

Finch and Alvin have both started to pick up melee, which is a good thing. They are both also getting better really quickly.

Guilty Gear is awesome. I need to learn to how to do the dolphin loop.

Also I looked at the FIU results and counted about 20 people who actually go to tournaments regularly. An easy majority of the players there were casuals who wouldn't have gone if it wasn't held at their college. Brawl attendance in FL is detereorating very quickly as more and more people are realizing how stupid the game is becoming.

You have to understand theres been a brawl tourney EVERY saturday for the past uhhhhhhhh 7 months? or w/e 6.

You cant expect a 70 person tourney every week, period.
G Money is right, the last few tourneys have been 40 or 50+ people, REGARDLESS of circumstance, while melee has been barely managing 20 (12 as G Money said).

Brawl isnt dieing out at all, its only getting bigger.
Stop hating on it.

my client was on a brawl tournament to get some attention. and the fact that Mr. melee prefer house company from other players, this however, dosen't mean that Mr. Melee can be on a brawl tourmanet.. Mr. Brawl, you seen melee on EVERY brawl tournament...except on one tv in hopes it would grow...what do you think of that, jealously growing mutch! Because you CAN'T kill Mr. Melee easily so I, the Smash attorney accuse you for trying to murder melee just like YOU assassinate the 64 version XP.

I don't understand those who play one of the games and hate the other...I'm going to throw that out there, realizing I'm potentially trapping myself into the "well, don't you hate Melee?" argument. But no, I don't hate Melee...I simply got really, really tired of it after playing competitively for about 4 yearsI still play Melee at times. it's still fun.

I prefer Brawl though, it actually feels less laggy to me now on account of my knowing which moves cancel, and the decrease in shield stun...that and the running turnarounds. I'm starting to believe it has more options available than melee (going against a LARGE part of the crowd, I know)....but all that is irrelevant.

If you dislike Brawl, fine...don't come to tourneys if you don't want to...do NOT, however, post in EVERY thread trying to bash it. that's just ********...if somebody says they prefer Brawl, don't bash them for it. it is their right to have a preference in games.

I'm getting really sick of the same few people posting in like every thread about it.
