I still don't understand why it's melee doubles, brawl doubles, melee singles, brawl singles. Ish makes no sense.

Switching from melee setups to brawl, back to melee, and then back to brawl. That's a lot of setup changes and it takes time.

Besides, some people are only there for melee, and some are there only for brawl, so they probably wouldn't want to watch the other game's tournament go by while waiting for the next one.

Why would you possibly try to get someone into brawl?

Of course they would hate it. It takes a special kind of forced love to enjoy this game. You should introduce her to like..Gears of War or something.
