I'm actually kind of upset at Pikachu being +0.

In fact I've hated this +0/+1/+2 nonsense since the beginning. Why do we have to do MUs differently from every other fighting game community?

Brawl is completely different from a traditional fighter so I'm not sure why you expected traditional ratios. The game is more complex and the metagame is less developed, so to me it makes sense that they'd use a smaller number scale to represent matchups.

Besides for the fact that they're easy?

I'd say don't be overly aggro against Ness and don't miss punishes and you'll do fine.

I'm sure someone else can give you better advice on Pika.

Edit: OH **** YOU'RE IN PIKA'S BRACKET. Yo his pikachu is mad free, just don't be **** against his MK, which I lose to. :C
