This is the Japanese Tier List for brawl. In this list, they have the Ike-MK matchup as 6-4 MK's favor. The best matchup is a 7.5-2.5, and I think that's D3 vs DK. One thing that made the Ike mains go wow is that this list has the Ike-Olimar matchup as 5.5-4.5 Ike's favor. Now they're trying to analyze that and see what the Japanese are doing "right or wrong".
I just lawled and said jab, but I don't think they're listening, or reading in this case. Jab works. Mr. Doom can camp with jab, and he has against a Wario on Japes.

Steeler, I've been told from the Ike boards that Ike has a grab-release to upsmash on Squirtle. I doubt it to be true, but I want to test it out anyway.

You may want to try that out on MK as well. I'm pretty sure they have the same jump break animation.
