If Geno has a suicide kill it should exclusively be used in 1v1s and not 2v2s (preferably only on stages without background cameos) because then the name "Genocide" would be accurate.

Watching through Rocko nowadays is super fun because you can point out concepts, names, and jokes that were later reused for SpongeBob or Phineas & Ferb. The episode where Spunky has fleas has that P&F intertwined plot structure down to a T, 16 years early.
Mixing and matching Mii costumes is fun, and not just for Sanshead or whatever - figuring out that you can make another character using parts of different costumes is amazing.

People tend to confuse "good game" with "important game".
It is extremely unfair to say Mario 64 singlehandedly created open 3D platformers when not only were Croc and Bubsy 3D in development at the same time, but Jumping Flash came out earier. Mario 64 may be better than Croc, Bubsy, and Robbit's adventures combined - but it is not any more revolutionary or significant.
The use of "/s" for sarcasm is really inconvenient when you want to get across that there could be either multiple or just one of something.
Teen Titans Go has a ton of obscure DC characters, right? Regardless of the quality of their works and the whole "hey look, thing you recognise!" debate, the TTG directors are a decent choice to make a movie for a fandom more attached to lesser known one-offs than mainstay regulars

Out of all the Disney IPs they chose not Marvel, not Toy Story, not Star Wars, not Indiana Jones, not even The Simpsons - but the Jungle Book.

It's kinda funny how the stages in Nick Brawl - a game where a majority of the characters are just regular people who live in regular cities with slightly weirdly-shaped houses at most - has more aesthetic variety in its stages than Smash.
I don't get why people have a problem with games shipping with incomplete content and adding the rest later. To me it comes off more as an internet-age replacement for unlockable characters than "finishing it later"
Never before have I been glad to find out a piece of content is paid DLC before launch.

I don't know if this is nostalgia speaking, but Mario Kart Wii's soundtrack is so many leaps and bounds above the rest of the series it's kinda insane (and yes, that includes fully-orchestrated big-budget big-band Mario Kart 8!)

Either the "I will now buy your game" meme wasn't exaggerating, or the animators for whatever anime this is took that as a challenge.
Imagine being a Nintendo exec and trying to explain to investors why you made a billion yen deal with one of the biggest game companies on Earth to use a one-off character from one of the worst-selling games in a series you own 99.9% of the beloved characters from even though you could've probably got the license to Lara Croft, Gex, or Space Invaders for the same price.

Sonic 1 is underrated. It's the only game in the franchise I feel truly rewards careful management of speed. That doesn't make it the best, Mania and 3K triumph over it in many ways and I'd argue Sonic 2 to be of an equal quality, but I think there's just as much merit to Sonic 1's "punish mindless speed, reward strategic speed" level design as the other games' "platforming is the challenge, mindless speed is the reward" level design.

There's no such a thing as a "responsible gun owner". It is an oxymoron.
The bad guy with a gun kills because he has no self-control, the "good" guy with a gun kills because that's what he actually believes is morally right and will actively decide to do.
Frankly, the bad guy has the moral high ground.
Let's say you get a 5-game-deal with Nintendo to make whatever games you want with their established IPs and characters - what do you make? For me:
- Drill Dozer remake
- Proper Yoshi's Island sequel
- Complete Game & Watch Gallery including licensed games, Mini Classics, variants, and Nelsonic Game Watches, as well as multiplayer options
- Some sort of "obscure character" crossover with Waluigi as the mascot (not sure what genre though, football or foot racer perhaps?)
- 3D Mole Mania reboot
CEoTFK is, IMO, the peak of Bubsy's characterisation. I like that he's a little more of a vulnerable wimp than your regular scrimblo and has that right balance of self-deprication without coming off like he's trying to excluse the poor quality of the game.
The cartoon pilot has my least favourite take on Bubsy, an overconfident narcissist who would be better fit for a villain role, and that unfortunately because the standard for the series in the reboot - though they toned down the narcissism well enough for him to not become as obnoxious as in the cartoon. Bubsy 3D is a bit of an outlier because that take on him feels like another character all together, more of a curious if snarky kitten than a smug megastar bobcat.
Should I write a serious, long essay about Bubsy? I earnestly love this franchise even though it's objectively garbage. -
