One thing that makes me a bit happy is that Bowser's Nintendo does seem to listen to backlash - Skyward Sword and the Zelda G&W aren't limited, and they haven't touched competitive Smash to my knowledge since the Big House drama, even cancelling their official Smash tournaments they have no clue how to run. It's probably just for damage control money, but just as good intent doesn't justify bad actions, ill intent doesn't dull the effects of good deeds.
I've been writing an achievements list for my planned game, and I feel I may have to explain the "beat the game in a single sitting without pausing, idling, going to the home screen, taking damage or dying while using a negative-effect cheat code" achievement in court some day
I was just thinking "why don't they make a game where cheat codes are a central mechanic?" - but almost instantly realised that'd just be a traditional fighting game.
I've been watching Nick Knacks by Poparena a lot - it's basically a retrospective of Nickelodeon history that reviews all the shows, original or aquired, and analyses their place in a corporate television ecostructure, it's doing every show and hasn't even got to the Nicktoons yet! - and honestly it is such a breath of fresh air to see someone give equal amounts of both criticism and praise for all these shows that people either worship on a pedistal or brush aside as timeslot filler. It'll likely be years from now before he gets to these shows but videos for stuff like Breadwinners, Fred, and Butt Ugly Martians will be really interesting.
I'm surprised they're still going through with this after all the controversy and impending cancellation.

Smash needs more remixes like this. Unlike anything you'd ever hear in its origin games to give people who like the Splatoon stage but not the music an option, a genre rarely seen in games at all (Ska), and energetic without being overly "hype"-r.
Making attacks for Peach and Zelda back in Melee must've been pretty hard. Fighting game attacks need to be distinct and recognisable in silhouette so doing that with a long dress must've been a pain. (This applies to a lesser extent Rosalina in 3DS/Wii U - she floats and has a slightly shorter dress so she wouldn't be as hard to desgin for I imagine)
Perhaps that's why they held off on giving Daisy any unique moves.
If I had more patience I'd try playing every Smash stage with every possible number of fighter to determine the optimal playercount for them - as I've often stood by a lot of the infamously bad Smash stages as being more fun with the right number of players (75M is better with 8 players and Pac-Land is better with 2 or 3 for example)
The "censorship is telling a man he can't have a steak just because a baby can't chew it" quote doesn't really hold up when talking about media literally intended for children.
Finally, we know how to get CD-i content in Smash.
I think that if CP11 is delayed and we don't get them by 2021, I can almost gaurantee it's an ActiBlizz rep. Probably Tracer or Crash, but Captain Price could be possible too. Spyro has a snowball's chance in hell though given his unique JP situation.

People who think the actions and culture of certain employees and higher-ups of ActiBlizz should have any impact on potential Activision content Smash content are stupid - yes, it's insulting, but it's also the truth. I'mma go through a few reasons
- Not all Activision employees are bad - in fact, that's the whole crux of this controversy: Acti employees getting harassed by other Acti employees. It's not fair to disregard their hard work and characters just because of this temporary lawsuit that will likely be resolved eventually, even if it takes years.
- Crash/Spyro/Tracer/Price in Smash would be pocket change to 72 billion dollar Acti - and that's if individual sales even go to Bobby and co. I frankly don't know whether companies pay Nintendo for their characters and keep the sales profits or Nintendo pays them and keep the sales profits, but either way this will make no change for better or worse to the ActiBizz "empire" and just be a tiny bit of money for a company that's always gonna make lods of emone no matter how big the boycott. Smash is big, but CoD is bigger.
- Nintendo are also terrible, at least from an external treatment of customers standard. You've already fed the mouths that bite you, and there's no shame in that. Corporations are scummy, that's systemic and requires a systemic response - I'm not saying ActiBlizz'z crimes should go ignored or unaccounted for mind you, but rather that we as customers can't achieve much more than a futile victory that causes temporary change unless we aim for the entire industry structure and not just Activision/Valve/Nintendo/EA/whoever the punching bag is this month.
- This is Crash specific (could apply to Spyro too): Crash may be Activision's property, but he isn't a character who comes to mind when you think Activision. Adding Crash would not be honouring Activision - it would be honouring Naughty Dog, Beenox, Traveller's Tales, Vicarious Visions, Toys for Bob, Radical, King and all the other talented development teams who have made Crash the legend he is today, not the corporate guys who tell those devs what they can make and when. As far as I can tell the harassment has only happened at Acti and Blizz, not Acti's subsidaries - and Acti's subsidaries deserve to have respect on their names.
I didn't grow up with Minecraft, so the short Enderman in Smash doesn't come off as that weird to me, in fact regular Enderman is weirder if anything
I may be biased here, but Space Invader is the only character owned by a non-Nintendo company already repped in FP2 I feel has a shot for CP11 - and even then it still seems unlikely.

The Fighters' Pass gave the "X stole Y's slot!" argument legitimate precedence and that's sad.

If the "mascot/protag first" rule didn't exist for Smash 64 I feel Diddy and Paula would've got in over DK and Ness.
I honestly think the Post-HAL Smash gameplay style is underappreciated from a competitive standpoint. There is much more going for SSBU than just roster size and balance.
Rayman Legends is a better "Smash Bros. platformer" than Subspace Emissary.
If we really want to protect people from sexual abuse, we need to let potential abusers be honest and transparent about their sexual urges in a non-judgemental environment that will support them in supressing those urges, otherwise we'll be left with a perpetual cycle of torment and misery for everyone, both innocent and guilty.
As far as I know the only major characters who's current directors have outwardly stated to not want them in Smash are Kiryu and Bub & Bob. It also seems like a safe bet to say PaRappa the Rapper (unfortunately) falls under this given Rodney Greenblatt's disappointment in PaRappa's PSASBR appearance.

I was born in 2002, but my taste in games, and thus Smash picks, is as boomer as it gets - and have been since I was a kid.
Making friends at school was hard.
I posted a comment on NintendoLife about how silly the idea of Digimon with permadeath is and I'm still getting angry replies hours later.
It's funny how the later 3 Toy Story films are basically subtle lessons in existentialism for kids, and then the first one is just a cowboy roasting a fictionkin spaceman for an hour and a half
I'm no animation expert, but surely the 30FPS vs. 60FPS debate could just be resolved by duplicating each frame of character animation in a 60FPS game to create a 30FPS look, right?

I figured out how to make fake DYKGaming thumbnails, but instead of epic beter briffin or whatever I decided to make one for an episode I actually want them to make.
Watching the same footage being played in the background of All-Star Brawl videos is getting pretty tiring. There's 3 days straight worth of SpongeBob footage alone, surely you could just play some Nicktoons clips with a mirror filter in the background, right?
