everything i've heard about the minecraft movie makes it sound like the second coming of cat in the hat 2003.
I had a dream where they rebooted the Attack of the Killer Tomatoes cartoon, but it featured Nintendo characters, it was bizarre pro-Gitmo propaganda, and rather than watching it in my dream, I read the TV Tropes characters page.
I do wonder how much of the way we discuss video games is dictated entirely by the term we use having "games" in it, as opposed to just calling them "software" or some equivalent term. An Inconvenient Truth doesn't directly tell a story nor is it intended to be fun, but nobody would argue that it isn't a movie, if we called movies say "moving stories" or something, would there be a debate over that? Would people try to brush aside any moving story with dire plotlines or a non-entertainment focus as "not fun"?
