I hate the theory that in The Devil Went Down to Georgia The Devil was trying to get Johnny to sin by having him win the contest then proclaim he's the best. I don't think Johnny's doomed to hell because one time as a kid he said he was the best fiddle player after genuinely winning a contest. Even if he was, can't he just, confess?
