Mario X Peach not being an official ship (anymore) is awesome. It's a really nice message for kids that romance isn't a reward, and it makes a good contrast when Bowser is shown to be a bit creepy like in the CGI movie.

I think one of my favourite weird Nintendotuber-isms is "EarthBound creator Shigisato Itoi" - like, yeah, he did do that, but that's leaving out a ton of context you could basically cover in two or three extra words, and is often kinda important to the specific conversation if it's about marketing or Nintendo hardware as a whole.

I just realised that "You'll forget the hardship, but the game will endure" isn't just a morally questionable statement, it's also a verystatement from Sakurai because he got an arm injury making two of the extremely few Nintendo games in the company's 50+ year gaming history (and probably the only ones outside of Pokemon and Ken Griffey Jr.) to be out-iterated Madden-style.
I think the funniest thing about NASB and MVS speculation is that sometimes you'll see people holding vendettas against something like Top Cat from the 60s that they've clearly been holding in for years and didn't just develop through speculation debates.

Talking Tom is a really funny character when taken out of the context of an app that repeats what you say. The idea of a post-talkies cartoon character who's whole gimmick - to the point it's in his name - is that he can talk is really funny. Especially if you choose willing ignorance and interpret it as some kind of weird, probably-non-parody-law-appliant dig at Tom & Jerry for not having dialog.
Stages - whether casual or competitive - should be higher priority for platform fighters than characters.
Fantastic Adventures of Sexrichard is good, but it's no Kekcroc.

I like how this 3-year-old video has simultaniously aged really well (makes fun of 2010s-era simplified websites, something people still don't want) and really poorly (makes fun of 90s-era wacky character GIFs and autoplaying MIDIs, things people want back with more sincerity as opposed to irony nowadays)
Something I've realised while looking up when certain characters enter public domain for a Wikimedia article is that UK copyright terms are actually WORSE than American copyright terms. "Death + 70 years" registers in the mind as "lower number = shorter", but it adds quite a few extra decades on to roughly the same length as the US term, as well as more ambiguity between who can be credited as an author - thank god for the rule of the shorter term.
I generally don't like Death + terms, it's a nice idea to eliminate copyright as soon as there's nobody who can reasonably take primary credit, and it has the benefit of having an entire world or library be avaliable at once in the right scenarios, but you either A. create a huge, hard-to-track instability in when content becomes PD, or B. practically encourage waiting for people to die.

Every time I see people complain about Assist Trophy choices and their alleged shift in priority over time, I'm always taken aback by what people classify as "rightfully" an assist where Shovel Knight/Isaac/Waluigi/whoever isn't... like, you can't imagine this thing's moveset?
