Just got a call from my cousine Who was suspecting her boyfriend was cheating on her. I don't have romantic relationship experience right now so I didn't know what to say properly... Then my mother heard the conversation and asked me to give her my phone.
I kid y'all not, won't go into details of what she said to be brief, but she made a woman who was crying non-stop over a very serious and disturbing situation gain enough strength to smile again, laugh at the dude and dump him. Also convinced her to talk with her sisters so she could seek even more help from her close family on the whole deal.
Stuff like this, and the efforts she's doing nowadays both for me as a LGBTIQ person, my friends and the people around her... Is why I forgive her for what happened 14 years ago. She made me unable to cry or show my true feelings back then... But unlike my father back then, she shows regret and brings the best of her to make the world a better place for the people who matter.
That imo, is breathtaking and goes to show that even beyond 22 years... People can still change for the better.
