It's funny how modern day MatPat is known for having "libertarian moments" (see his Lorax, Star Wars, and Pizza Tower videos), considering that he's where I (and probably a lot of other people my age or younger) first learned about things like banana republics and MK Ultra.
I've been watching through Chadtronic's cursed commercials videos lately, and while they are really funny, I wish there was more of the Wraps puppet, he only really talks in the sponsor segments.
I'd love to see a game some day do for the low-budget 60s Hanna-Barbera/Jay Ward look what Cuphead did for the rubberhose look, Pizza Tower did for the 90s Nicktoons look, and what Blud appears to be doing for the 2000s CN/Neo-UPA look.
Dream responding to being face-shamed by deciding to keep his mask on at all times, trying (threatening?) to DMCA uploads of the face reveal, and making a fake bait-and-switch reupload to keep the actual reuploads out of searches feels like part of a cartoon plot, and not even a satirical cartoon like the Simpsons. I had a dream where it was revealed that Warner Bros. lied about the sales numbers of the wizard game, and it actually had only sold 50,000 copies to date - the worst selling game of Avalanche's entire history - and people were making memes of Hannah Montana and Chicken Little dabbing on Harry Potter.

A few months ago I saw a set of sleeping bags on display at the local GoOutdoors and thought they were amonguses hanging from nooses.
I really hate the misconception that the Smash games are, on a casual level, iterative in the same way a Fifa or Madden game is. All of them have completely different game feels aside from 3DS and Wii U, and you don't need to be remotely hardcore to actively notice said differences - hell, each game has a completely different feel to their item balancing: in 64, items only add variety and don't give much extra power; in Melee, items are a little more powerful but can be easily lost and often have some kind of downside; in Brawl, a lot of the stronger items are situational and niche; in the 8th gen games, items are ****ing crazy and leave anyone without them completely vulnerable; and in Ultimate, 3DS/Wii U's philosophy is cranked up tenfold

Continuing off of my last post, I've been watching through Eek! the Cat lately, and, from the 3 episodes I've watched through so far, the highs are Eek-stremely high, while the lows are Eek-stremely low. There's a lot more awkward "the 90s were a mistake" moments in episode 3 alone than I had while watching the entirety of Rocko (though I still don't think anything I've seen so far justifies Disney keeping it locked up in the vault with the rest of the non-Marvel Fox Kids shows), but the funny parts are some of the funniest cartoon gags I've ever seen and, like Rocko, there's an underlying sense of empathy to it you wouldn't expect from an edgy slapstick-violence-based show like this. I don't get why the show started off with 22 minute stories though, the format doesn't fit the premise all too well. Not looking forward to the Thunderlizard segments though.

When NASB was still in its "flavor of the week laughing stock" phase, a lot of people were using it as proof that sound design is important in games - which is true, but IMO it doesn't apply to NASB - what it does apply to however, is Nicktoons Unite, which might be the most unintentionally unnerving game I've ever seen, almost entirely because the music is slow and barely audible; the ambient sound effects are oddly realistic, echo like a prison cell, and play at full blast; and all of the stages except the FOP stages have really dreary colour palettes and fog.
A lot of people like to talk about the racist movies Disney are hiding in their vault, or the movies Disney is completely fine to keep on their services in spite of their questionable content, but I'm frankly more interested in the completely inoffensive media that Disney just won't release for absolutely no known reason - what the hell is keeping Zazoo U or Angels in the Outfield off of Disney+?
I love how, in DriDim, franchises like Shrek and SpongeBob get relatively safe, logical character lists; and then when we do franchises like Spider-Man and Zelda we just go full force on the meme picks.

I don't think Arzest being behind Superstars is too big a worry for me. They have a spotty track record and it is a little concerning, don't get me wrong, but IMO there's really no such thing as a "bad dev team" - what really matters more is who's doing what and what space they're being given to do it in, not what title they're collectively going by.

I'm pretty sure that Smash fans are the only people in the entire world who think that glitches are inherently bad.
I think the hammerspace attacks in NASB are a lot more justifiable than they'd be in other games since most of the characters are pretty explicitly absurdist comedy characters who would be carrying a bunch of stuff like that with them, and those who aren't generally don't have hammerspace related moves with the only real exception being maybe Helga?
Toph's belt attack is still stupid though.

Not a fan of the rail grinding in Sonic Lario, but everything else is hitting the right spots for me - I like how there's some slower precision sections, can't wait to memorize those and speed through 'em. Fat Flicky is adorable. -
