When I was a kid, I brought my 3DS to a youth activity group I was in - for some reason, in my infinite wisdom, the game I chose to show off and brag about to my fellow youths was - of all things - Game & Watch Gallery 2....

I don't really get why people call Mario 64 a 2D to 3D transition at all, let alone a good one. It wasn't going for the same style of gameplay as the 2D Mario games.

I had a dream where Dreamworks made Home 2 as a 2D animated movie and it's title was "Home r-slur". The film had no backgrounds, voice acting, music, plot, or props (though it did have colours); the animation looked like it was done with permanent marker; and Oh was the only character. Despite literally just being a cartoon alien dancing around for an hour, it managed to offend everybody, even those who weren't offended by the title

One thing I'd advise when submissing a season for DriDim is to include a character who would otherwise drown in voting in your first 3.

I think the reason why the "car scene" is so common in CGI character movies is because 1. you don't have to animate the legs and - depending on the character's size - hands; and 2. drivers generally don't make eye contact when talking to their passengers, meaning the actor also doesn't have to.

Not an animation expert so I can't say for sure though.

I saw the Little Joel video about the Nostalgia Critic pausing after all his sentences and now I'll never unsee it. I'm not gonna watch the entire Nostalgia Critic videography to confirm this, but I did some research and found out something interesting by selecting random lines from a set of videos from a few years (basically just clicking around and looking for a line that doesn't involve making a face as part of the joke)...

Analysing B/C-tier scrimblo bimblo platformer discourse is so funny because - without fail - the root of the controversy is always just some poorly thought out joke that went over kids' heads or a hyper-localised ad campaign/TV adaptation.

IMO Cartoon Network PTE XL had a worse story mode overall than Brawl (gimmicky minecart, Angry Birds, and shmup sections with wonky physics + every single enemy being as annoying as the Mites = not fun), but the cutscenes are infinitely better. More true to the shows than SSE was to the games; has some genuinely funny moments (as opposed to no funny moments); and the entire conflict is resolved by Chowder ripping a fat one. Also makes better use of stock PNGs than WoL.

The "this game stinks" ad for EarthBound is honestly one of the best Nintendo ad campaigns of the late SNES era. It actually uses imagery from the game; the subject matter reflects something from the source material; it's not completely inappropriate for the game's young target audience; and the text of the print ads explains the "suburban JRPG" concept really well.

I find it funny how official YouTube uploads of songs from TV shows near-consistently have the sound mixing ****ed up.

I personally prefer the idea of Poké Floats just being giant barely-animated Pokémon flying around in a weird pink pocket-dimension for no reason than being a balloon parade.

I feel the problem with the Smash roster - specifically but not exclusively the first party portion of it - has less to do with bias and more to do with a lack of bias. If the Smash roster made no attempts at obectivity and was just unapologetically the characters the team wants regardless of fan demand; recency; and popularity/imporance, the series and it's discourse would be way better off for it.

My Mario movie theory is that Bowser is Foreman Spike - considering that the site calls him a "Spiky boss" and his one-star review has him talking about how the Bros. will "learn their lesson".
